I got the best haircut that I have ever had in my whole entire life yesterday. I was really excited trying somewhere new after my stylist for 5+ years hadn't been delivering. Online the Salon comes highly recommended and after being there, you will know why. He measured the length to my cheekbones to the bottom of my drawer, wanted my hair to line up there and cut off all the dead ends. I had about 5 to 10 minutes in the head spa before my haircut, which was extremely relaxing. Next time I come, I want to do a pure head spa appointment and maybe a deep conditioning. I wish I could give ARK LV and Tatsuya 10 stars. The experience was everything. I am always nervous trying a new hair stylist because I have been going to my previous stylist for 15 years, but she is in California. However, Tatsuya did not disappoint. Making an appointment with Tatsuya was easy. I messages him on Instagram and promptly received a response and had an appointment 3 days later. Upon entry into the salon, the aesthetics were singing to the minimalist in me. I love how simple and clean the salon is. Tatsuya is so kind and spent the time go over what look I was trying to achieve. I had waist length blonde hair and was going for a drastic change and I felt that he understood what I wanted which was a short shoulder length bob with face framing curtain bangs and I wanted to go back to my natural color, which is black. He spent time sectioning my hair to apply the color and made sure it was saturated so there wouldn't be any missed patches. I really loved that he put ear covers on me to prevent getting color on my ears. The real treat was the hair wash. It was literally the best hair wash I've ever gotten and I will be returning to try the head spa. It was so relaxing with the right amount of pressure. Afterwards, I felt like I could smell colors it was so good. Tatsuya was very meticulous in his hair cuts making sure to measure twice to ensure evenness. He did a detailed dry cut which reduced a lot of weight off my hair. Afterwards I felt so light that I could fly. Overall, I would highly recommend Tatsuya and will be returning. What made me uncomfortable was that( the hairdresser ) his fingers kept touching my face while cutting my front hair, and I felt so uncomfortable but was embarrassed to say it out. Because the situation was ambiguous! He held my hair in front while cutting my hair, and his fingers touched my face with my hair . I am sure he could have cut my hair without his fingers physically touching my face. At least have some distance! I don't imply any implications, maybe that is his style to cut customers' hair! I have been looking for a skilled hair artist and this place is exactly what I was looking for! I asked for a hush/wolf cut which is a lot of shaggy layers while keeping hair long and he really delivered. My natural hair was a bit damaged because of years of bleach so I asked him to try to remove all the dead hair as best as possible and he did such a good job! While still keeping my hair long and full looking. Styling my hair at home has been so easy after my hair cut. What I loved the most is I can see his hair cutting skill in an instant.
