No one could figure out the issue... Several $400 monthly electric bills and management telling me that is normal? For an2 bedroom apt? For one month? They didn't want to replace the heating system. I'm looking at the on line photos while sitting in the "business suite" of Ark and its almost laughable. I have lived here for almost a year now and rarely experienced the running list of amenities that they can claim you will receive when you move in here. The landscaping is awful, unless you happen to live near one of the Korman offices. We complained for months before they actually tended to the front of our apartment and we had to clean up the trash and debris behind our place ourselves. The "country club setting" and gym consists of 2 old treadmills, weight machines and free weights, in a very small room and there is usually one machine not working. At the moment the, fully equipped locker rooms with saunas and showers" are closed while they renovate. The 2 computers in the business area rarely work and when they do, they are not monitored, so people can sit there all day without letting anyone else utilize them. Also, the area can be closed without any notice to residents for "korman meetings". The apartments are poorly maintained and have been degrading since the day we moved in. The ceiling in our bedroom was leaking for weeks before anyone even came to look at it and this happened on 2 occasions causing severe mold damage on the walls, ceiling and carpets. Insects, warped counter tops, dripping sinks, leaking washing machines and dish washers.......and the staff is rude and unprofessional when asked for help or assistance. No wonder they require renter's insurance. Overall.....extremely underwhelmed. read more

Do not move to a Korman apartment. They will be all nice before you sign, then they will act you never existed. No maintenance, arrogance, noisy grounds, no litter pickup, annual rent jackups. High cost of electricity as all your heat is electric. Their tough policies are corporate-wide, not just one location. Run! read more

Had issues with a different apartment at ARK, but luckily the management office was accomidating and allowed me to switch apartments to the Villas. No issues so far at the villas! We are very happy so far. read more

I agree completely with the previous review. This place is hell. I was very excited to move out of the city and into a nice, relaxing apartment in suburbia. Frankly, I'd rather be back in the city. Korman obviously takes no pride in their apartments, resident services or security. On night all of the street lights were out in front of my apartment. I called their guest services who replied with, "What do you want me to do about it?" My hallway is a mess because the previous tennant never let their dog out. It's disgusting and a bio-hazard and for 6 months I have been complaining about it to resident services who said they stopped by and saw nothing. They are rude, disgusting and useless people. I cant wait to get out of here! read more

moving from CA was dialectical to PA big change i wanted on apartment that felt like home and close to everything . love the leasing office Randa was incredible and understanding me ind my fiance are supper happy with villas love my washer and dryer in and i had a problem with stove they came in that same day and just replaced it with new one . thank you Korman and defiantly recommend affordable and amazing apartments.. ;-) read more

Do not recommend living here at all! The places are very old and outdated. We lived next to a neighbor who smoked in their apartment and I called saying we can smell it in our apartment, and it would cost us 3 months rent to move to a different apartment! Shouldn't they have a smoking section? Who would want to move in an apartment that reeked of smoke. The smell coming in and out of our apartment everyday is disgusting. There are also a ton of bugs and spiders in our apartment. I think because the place is so old. It looks nothing like it does in the pictures! There is also NOTHING to do around this area. The washer and dryers are crappy and so are the kitchen appliances. The only somewhat nice thing about it is the gym and the pool. I wouldn't recommend living here to anyone. read more

Recently moved here (2014). The leasing agents are very friendly and energetic also made the transaction of paper work very easy. I had requested a replacement part for the bathroom and assistance with a connection to the dryer and by the time I got home the same day, the work was done. The people who took my phone calls regarding the work were very nice and helpful. Off to a good start with the accomodations Ark has to offer. I have recommended Ark to one of my friends. read more

I wonder how this place runs. I repent living here and can't wait for my 1 year term to be over and get out of this place for good. The claims are far far away from the reality. The maintenance sucks BIG time. The utility bills are extremely high. If you can call 4 times a day to get someone come and look into your problem, then you can live here. If you wish to listen to an impolite rude voice over the phone, then you can stay here and if you wish to have trash, dog poops all around then you can choose this place.Its very very low on maintenance and they take absolute no care of the property. What we saw as a model apartment was no where close to the real one. CHEAP, CHEAP and CHEAP. Stay away and look for a place where you can have a peace of mind. I give no stars to this. We recently moved in to Ark and couldn't be happier! The neigborhood is great, everyone is friendly and helpful esp with this snow! Moving in was a breeze and the application proccess was too. Overall we are planning on staying here for a few years until we can buy our own home. Highly reccommended from my family to yours. read more

I moved into one of the 2 bedroom summits a couple weeks ago. This complex stood out over all others I checked out in the area and seemed to be cleaner as well. The various layouts they offer is amazing and the rent isn't ridiculous as others either. The area is nice and there is a lot to do close by. The staff was extremely helpful and that is rare these days to find. Looking forward to making a lot of memories here. read more

This is by far the worst place I have ever in my life lived! Part of the trim in the "dining room" was just gone.... A huge gaping hole! It 2 weeks for them to come and fix it. If you consider what they did fixing it, that is. The guy said he would be back the next day to finish some touch ups; never saw or heard from anyone. There are spider crickets everywhere in this place, along with, house centipedes and spiders. My kids are so freaked out, they won't even sleep in their own rooms! The windows are so outdated, it's like the snow is going to be welcome to come in. I can touch a spot on my wall and literally see the wall being pushed in. The ceiling in my bathroom looks like it's about to give in and the upstairs apartments bathroom may fall into mine. Everything is outdated and I now have a leak under my sink from all the corrosion around the shut off valves. Also, no one has checked the breaker box since the 80's! For 1220 a month, I expected the apartment to at least be up to par. My advice.... RUN! Do NOT rent from here! I can not wait until our lease is up. 4 more months! read more
