We did some research, and although there's companies out there that all sound like they do the same thing, I can tell you, they don't. From the moment I spoke to the Hidden Fence Of people I knew that they were customer service oriented. They came out the very next day and dropped some line around the perimeter of the house, even though there was 2 feet of snow. And they will be back to bury it come spring time. The gentleman that came out and spent about an hour working with me on training. It was very easy, and within about a month my dog was off leash and not venturing out of the yard anymore. One of the concerns I had going in was that would the collar be painful for my dog. So I tried it out on my self and it is basically nothing more than a vibration and not a painful shock which I think other companies use. As my dog approaches the perimeter, there is a beeping sound and vibration, and right away he knew that he has gone too far. Now after a solid month, it is so apparent that he knows the boundary, So happy to have made this choice.

Becky is incredible! I have a 5 month old Jack Russell terrier. I've read a lot (hours!) about how…read moreto train him. We've attended puppy classes. I took him to the dog park regularly and provided plenty of socialization. There were some issues that I couldn't correct including that he would become rough and easily excited during play. Potty training was the biggest hurdle we encountered. No matter what I did it couldn't get the puppy to consistently go outside to potty. I was apprehensive at the thought of sending my puppy to a stranger for two weeks at first. I was put at ease when I met Becky. It's evident that she truly cares about the dogs she works with. She sent me on average three YouTube videos a day. She did tell me to let her know if that was too many or too much information coming at me at once. She answered my messages in a timely manner and explained things well. I was concerned there was a medical reason behind the difficulty with potty training. Ideally, I should've had him evaluated prior to sending him off to train. Planning isn't always my strength. I felt better about him seeing a vet to rule out any underlying medical problem. It was difficult for me to drive to Becky's to take my puppy to the vet. She offered to meet me in the twin cities but I couldn't make it work because of other things going on at the time. Becky was completely understanding about the entire situation. She took him to a local vet for me. The vet and Becky called me to make sure I was informed about the situation and to go over options. Ruling out any medical problems gave us confirmation that it was a behavior issue. Becky was able to successfully potty train my puppy! That alone made it worth it to send him to be trained! The icing on the proverbial cake was he also came home a well mannered, calmer dog. People have commented how well he listens now. Becky brought my puppy home when training was complete. She even wrote up personalized plans for him and I to do such as obedience commands he's learned, housebreaking plan, and homework to keep up his training. She even wrote up lists for my kiddos that help them learn how to show leadership when interacting with our puppy. I cannot express how thankful I am that he had an opportunity to have my puppy train with Becky. I would highly recommend Becky to anyone that is having issues training their dog or simply wants a better mannered dog. I believe there would be a lot less dogs in shelters if we had more people like Becky!

Update: Dog has…read moredeveloped aggressive behavior and even through training he won't relent. Issues begin mainly at night and although we leave the dog alone he would attack spontaneously. We spent all the time and money and effort to save our dog but to no avail. Through the vet and GSD specialist we were advised to put the dog to sleep after 6 years. 5 years of perfection with the last year he developed this anger issue. I feel like this is an issue we couldn't resolve and I just want people to know our story from this breeder.

I had 8 German Shepherds prior to getting Rango. I've dealt with several different types of kennel owners and I think Callie and Jeremy do an awesome job. Rango was easy to train had he decided that he needed a job to be my wife's service dog. Rango was easily the smartest dog we've ever had. He made our life easier. Rango was naturally good with people, children and other dogs. We live in a neighborhood where there are many small dogs and they all loved Rango. Rango passed away on May 23 2022 but not until he finished job with my wife , once he made sure she was in bed for the night he died in my arms. We had an Awesome 11 years , he went everywhere with us and he was never left alone because he was always at my wife's side. We know it will be hard to replace Rango and after some time to grieve our loss we will definitely be looking for another quality dog. Thank you Callie and Jeremy
