Since it was the first time using her service, she met with us one night so she could get to know our dogs, ask questions about where we keep food, etc. One of our dogs in particular is a rescue dog and has a lot of social anxiety when meeting new people. I loved how patient Genevieve was with her and by the end of that first visit, both dogs had really warmed up to her. We did a couple of practice walks before we went out of town and both times I came home to a very thorough note about how the walk went, which was a really nice touch because having used other services before, I've often been left wondering if the dog walker came, what happened, etc. While we were out of town we had a couple of updates from her, letting us know the dogs were doing well. I worry a lot about the dogs when I'm away and it was really nice to not have to worry because I knew they were under great care. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Genevieve's Pet Care!

I went in today for an orientation and a walk through at about 10AM. IMO, there were way too many dogs in each area. The dog rooms are small and dimly lit, and all connected, so the atmosphere is very loud. I was shocked at how many large dogs were in such a small area. As we walked through with the staff, a fight broke out between two dogs. Others joined in because there was no where to go. One staff in the room for about 20-25 large dogs. No wonder. There is simply not enough room for the number and size of dogs in that space. I would never leave my dog there.

I've never hired a pet sitter before, and it was a stretch for me to hand a stranger my keys and trust them with my fur babies, but I had no choice. After having Monica take care of them for just a few days, I knew I had made a good decision. Monica has cared for Wendigo and Banzuke as though she were family. She sent me texts every day with pictures to update me on their status. I was overjoyed when she told me that Wendigo actually "took" to her... Wendigo never even let my own family come near her, but Monica is a cat whisperer, because even in this stressful situation she let Monica pet her and she didn't hide from her. Monica also changed their litter when it needed it, and she followed my meticulous instructions for the diet and feeding for each of the cats. What amazed me most about her is that she has been so flexible and accommodating. I had to extend my trip and Monica has worked with me through all the changes. She even brought extra cooked chicken for Wendigo when mine ran out. As a new resident and a first time street-parker, I didn't realize you had to move your car so much in Saint Paul. Monica alerted me to signs that had been posted by parking enforcement, and bent over backwards to help me make sure my car was ok. When I returned home, I found that Monica didn't just take excellent care of my babies, she took care of my home. She washed dishes she used. She kept things in order. There wasn't any trash to be found. My kitties were happy and healthy! I feel so blessed and lucky to have found someone so professional and caring for my little cat family. They also have a parking lot, which is perfect for this area! We've tried a few daycares when he was a puppy, and this was his first and only choice! He's been going here since he attended Puppy Pre-K - which was about 7 months ago! He's now graduated to Tiny Town or Littles the staff is great about making sure all dogs get along as well. The staff is compassionate, caring, very well educated and make sure Jett is always safe (considering he's a whopping 6lbs). Some staff are also trainers, which I love! They all understand and know Jett, so we will always be coming here - unless Jett decides he's too old for daycare someday, as he starts to calm down from being a puppy. They always sent report cards during Puppy Pre-K and send them when he does the trick of the month as well, which I love to read how he did and what they worked on. Jett has made a bunch of friends, but he has about 3 really close doggy friends - that he absolutely loves! I contacted a few people and Twin Cities Pets were the only ones that responded! I am so glad they did and here is why. First, cost for service. They stopped over prior to leaving to meet my pets and find out everything that I wanted to have done. They might do more in 15 minutes than I do in 3 hours with regards to my pets! The service is a great value. Great Service. They obviously love animals. It's nice to know that my guys are going to be with people who really care about their wellbeing. They offered to send me texts with updates, etc. When I came home, the cats looked well cared for and I think they left the litter boxes cleaner than when I left them! :) Just good people. Wow! These guys are the best. My boyfriend and I were going to Duluth for a short weekend get away,…read morewhich is difficult for us to do with a special needs animal. Our senior cat has diabetes and needs to be fed and receive insulin injections on a pretty strict schedule (every 12 hours), and finding friends who were both available for the whole weekend and comfortable giving shots proved to be difficult. We found Twin Cities Pets through an online search and were ecstatic to see that they had prior experience with insulin injections and came to your home. A lot of other pet sitting or boarding services said that they will administer medication, but not injections, so this was lucky and we were so glad we didn't have to board him somewhere, which basically sound like cat jail. Marea came over and met with my boyfriend to pick up our spare key and learn about our cat's routine. We also have a bunny and a few tortoises, and she said she was happy to check on them as well. Marea sent us email updates letting us know everyone was doing A-OK, and we were able to enjoy our vacation with peace of mind knowing that our pets were in great hands. The cost was comparable or maybe even cheaper than boarding, and I know that our cat was much happier staying in his own home and familiar environment. We will definitely be using Twin Cities Pets the next time we go out of town and I would highly recommend them to any other friends in the area.
