I was told by my dentist that I needed a root canal, which he does, but felt mine was too complicated and said I should see an endodontist. I initially booked an appt with the endodontist that he recommended, but after looking on Yelp, I decided to cancel. Based on the 5 star reviews on Yelp, I made an appt at Arlington Endodontics. They have incredible equipment that takes very detailed images that show much more than what my dentist could see on an x ray. After examining the scans and images and doing some diagnostic tests, Dr. Eslinger told me that there's a good chance that my tooth is beyond needing a root canal. He gave me the option to continue or have it extracted elsewhere. Talk about honesty and integrity!! I think most dentists would have just done it and taken my money with no regard for the final outcome. Additionally, the staff was so kind and friendly. They took my comfort into account during the entire visit, and although painful, they made it hurt less than paying my taxes. I've gotten recently two Root Canals done, and they couldn't of done a better job. They were absolutely amazing people. My teeth were hurting so badly and I went to see them and afterwards, my pain was gone. So today I got my second Root Canal done but I'm not even worried about it because the first one came out so great! The secretaries are really nice and they attend to you in a warm and kind matter, the doctor is so great and the dental assistant Tara, she was awesome- she was so kind to me and went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable throughout the whole thing, and she also made sure I felt no pain which was a huge plus to me. Dr. Eslinger and his staff are great. Scheduling was very easy. The day of procedure I was greeted at the door, my temperature was taken, my health was screened to make sure that I was not contagious with COVID-19. The staff was all wearing proper PPE equipment, and they took every precaution necessary to keep everybody safe. Now on to the procedure itself, I had a root canal due to a cracked tooth. I had a Root canal today expecting an unpleasant experience. I have had this procedure done by other Endodontic providers and never ended with a positive experience. My experience was great!! I called Dr Eslinger in a panic. It was the weekend and my tooth cracked in half. Dr Eslinger reassured me that it would be ok and that I should call the office first thing in the morning. I called early and Janet was already there. She said, "no problem, we will get you in." Since I was a new patient, Janet emailed me all the necessary paperwork so that I could save time at the office. Once I got there, I was greeted with a friendly smile from Janet. I thanked her for her help and she introduced me to Tara, doctor's assistant. Tara immediately saw that I was nervous and made me feel very comfortable. She took X-rays and prepared me for the procedure. She explained to me that my comfort was a priority. She let me know how to let them know how I was doing during the procedure. Also, I can't remember the exact words that Tara said but it was something like ,"we aren't here to take a tooth, we're here to save a tooth." That made me feel so good because I really didn't want to lose this tooth. Next, I met Dr Eslinger who explained what he would be doing to my tooth. He explained the X-rays and he told me what to expect every step of the way. No surprises. I'm a big baby when it comes to dental problems and this was my first root canal. After the procedure, I went home and I was still numb. I was tired because I was so exhausted from being anxious. When I woke up, I had no pain.There was just a little tenderness. The next day or so I received a call from the office checking on me. I'm sorry that I didn't get the name of the woman that called me. She was very nice and explained that the tenderness would go away in a few days. She said that my tooth had been through a lot of trauma. She told me to call back if i needed anything else. I can't say enough about how amazing this place is. I am TERRIFIED of the dentist and I needed a root canal done. The staff made me feel so comfortable and told me it was okay to be scared and was just so calming, and I totally needed that. When it came to getting my root canal done they gave me an oral sedative and I also got laughing gas. They also let my mom sit in the room which also made me feel comfortable. I had 2 root canals within 2 weeks with Dr Eslinger. Not fun. Dr and Natalie were wonderful. They explained what was happening and I even got to see how the work on the teeth looked on Xray. Amazing. Found this endodontist on Yelp and I was very pleased with the staff and the experience. I have had root canals before but never all in one day. One will still need a separate visit elsewhere for a new crown or final amalgam if the tooth already has a crown, as mine did. The technology has changed over the years and Dr. Eslinger is very current and his office seems well-equipped. My root canal went well and I have not had any problems after. I would return to Dr. Eslinger should the need arise. read more

When you need to have a root canal, the dentist and staff make all the difference in the world. Dr Eslinger is a very caring professional and is mindful of his patients comfort. Actually, it is a very interesting experience. The videos, the microscope, and the small digital screen are so fascinating. He lets you know exactly what is going on! Dawn, his assistant, is very positive and helpful too along with all the staff. I had recently had a crown prep on a back molar that started to hurt 1week before I was to get a crown. My dentist was out of town, but he said I needed to call Dr. Eslinger. I called at 8:00am in the morning got a 9:00am appointment and he could tell I had an infected tooth (which was pretty painful). He said he could do the root canal later in the day and by 3:45pm I walked out of the office feeling much better. Great office! 6:30 pm no pain! read more
