Today was supposed to be my 1st new patient visit . I confirmed my appointment yesterday! I was told 10:45am and today when I showed up this morning I was told it was at 11:30. First of all the lady at the front desk was extremely rude, didn't even say good morning or nothing! I told her I know for a fact my appt was at 10:45 and she said well it's at 11:30 and u were told to be here at 11 to fill out paper work . Not once did she make eye contact ! Arlington Family Practice - Worst place ever!!! - Family Practice Near Me - Arlington, Texas

I felt I had to leave an honest review after reading all the one-star reviews. The front desk staff, MAs, phlebotomist, and all other staff members I've encountered have been nothing but helpful and patient. I used to work in a physician's office, and I have seen how demanding and ridiculous patients can be. Doctors cannot break the rules of medicine or go outside of the insurance restrictions to refill prescriptions, just give a patient what they want, or see patients who are behind in their payments. Dr. Truong (and every single one of her staff) has been kind to me. They are all races and backgrounds and ages, so the discrimination accusation below is unwarranted. I am white. Dr. Truong is Vietnamese. Some of the staff are Hispanic or African American. I have gone to Dr. Truong for only two years, but two African American friends of mine been going to her for years and never had any complaints. It is slanderous to make that accusation. How a patient speaks to staff can get them dismissed from a medical office, and I applaud any physician who stands behind their staff. Since the pandemic, people have become more demanding and just plain awful. Try working a front desk in a medical office for one day and you will be buying flowers for these ladies to compliment them on their skill and patience. Dr. Truong has been my Primary Care Provider for more than 10 years. She is pleasant, professional and thorough. She makes sure I am up-to-date on shots, vaccines, etc. When I need to see a specialist I have been happy with her recommendations. I have never had to wait long for a scheduled appointment. If an unexpected problem popped up she has always been able to fit me in. read more

I had been a patient of this practice for about 20 years. Dr. Aramath became my doctor when my previous physician retired. I had put up with the surly staff (they don't smile, don't engage with patients), because she was a fairly thorough Doc, but when I recently complained to her about the longer and longer wait times at my visits she terminated me as a patient. She didn't discuss it with me--I only found out when I called to leave her a message and was told they couldn't take a message because my chart had been de-activated. I have also been locked out of my patient portal account. From reading other reviews, it appears they manage their patient load by firing patients who have the audacity to complain. Most physicians and health care facilities these days send their patients quality surveys, but one shouldn't expect any from Arlington Family Practice; it appears they don't care about patient experiences. read more

I had been going to Dr.Truong for years, and so did my family. My husband first had UC, and his old doctor kept prescribing him anti-diarrhea medicine. I told him to check out my doctor, and she sent him to the ER. She's very caring and a good listener. She cares and is passionate about her job. She's willing to scold you if you don't care for yourself well. Her staff will make sure you come in for a checkup if you accidentally missed an appointment without shaming you. Overall it was a great experience with Dr. Truong!!!!! And for the front staff... It is hit or miss. read more

PATIENTS BEWARE! Unfortunately I had issues from the first visit, I went in for my annual physical and had testing done that was not necessary and I ended up paying out of pocket for it, I was frustrated because I didn't want or need an EKG but they stated that it would be billed as part of the annual wellness checkup, but I later found out that the doctor changed the notes to say that I complained of chest pain which was completely FALSE! The EKG was billed separately and when I brought it up to the doctor and office staff they blamed me for letting them do the test! I guess I wasn't suppose to question the issue because then I was seen as the unhappy or angry patient for advocating for my rights because I was told that the doctor has done so much and if I'm not happy I can find another doctor - how unprofessional!! I was not listened to over the phone when I was trying to give information. The lady on the phone at Arlington Family Practice in Arlington, actually hung up on me. Then when I called back to ask for a manager, I was told by the same lady, that she was out of the office, in which I responded, then I will just come up there. And then once again I got hung up on. So, then another lady called me back. And once again I got shut down. They don't listen and I am guessing they hate their job. I was trying to do was find a PCP for my daughter who cares & that would listen and NOT JUDGE her for her past. When I told them she was at a good weight, I was told, that was for the doctor to determine, they put my daughter in a box with past medical issues and told me they basically didn't think they could treat her. But she doesn't need to be treated, she just needed to set up a new PCP and do blood panels. But they boxed her on her past and am so glad I called them because this is one doctor's office who has no understanding of a past eating disorder and would hold it to her and make her feel ashamed. She is in recovering, going over 2 years now! She should be cheered not feel shamed! She still sees a doctor for this, so we were NOT asking for treatment but to set up a PCP! Unreal, how rude front staff can BE! they told me to take her to a mental doctor, lol am just in shock. She sees a doctor, she has been in treatment in the past, this is NOT the issue! We are just needing someone to treat her for sinus infections or colds! I actually cried when I got off the phone! read more

This is a clinic should be cited for discrimination. I should have know when the doctor make snarky remarks with i didnt want all the vaccine she was pushing. I had papsmear and she barely touch me. She made sure she sent me on several referrals to fix me. I asked for a refill on my prescription that i was taking from my previous primary care physician that they listed on my chart as taking. and they refused and said i needed another appointment. I went by the office to ask why i needed another appointment on top of the 3 i have already had. the rude receptionist said that is what has to happen to get a refill on a narcotic. okay that was not all she said. remember she is only the receptionist. Then she went on to say, even if she you come to an appointment she will only give you a few pills, then you need to go to a psychiatrist! A receptionist is make diagnoses now!!! and to be so rude an say i need a psychiatrist because take 2.5mg of a drug to sleep thru night sweats. But she didn't care what it was for. She was use to talking to people this way. I don't know how many complaints need to happen before something is done. But i am also report them to my insurance. The talk to black people like they have a tail. it is ridiculous the rudeness. I would not recommend to treat my dog and he is dead! read more

Doctors are great, but receptionists are awful. They have you on hold for extensive periods of time. I was calling to schedule an appt for my father and they rudely questioned why he couldn't call for his own appt if "he spoke English." I've been coming here for years and never had complaints until now. Calls were done today 8/30 at approx 10 AM. Don't know who was working, but thanks for awful service. Let me start by saying I rarely visit the doctor. I have lived in Arlington for 4 years and have been to see a general doctor twice. I made an appointment in this office with Dr. Truong earlier this year to see about weight loss options. I could only see the nurse since I was a new patient (which was fine) and she acted disgusted with me that I would come in asking for help losing weight and sent me on my way. I decided I wasn't going to go back there for any reason in the future. This morning I woke up with what I think is strep throat. Since they already had my information and I can't seem to find anyone else close that is accepting new patients with my insurance, I decided to go ahead and give them a call. The receptionist answered the phone, asked me who my doctor was and told me she could get me in at 10:45. She then asked me my name and then said she had to go ask the doctor. She came back on and said they could not offer me any further care because I walked out last time. That is what I was told to do! Mind you, I did not make a scene when the nurse told me they couldn't help me. I thanked her and left. I understand diet and exercise is the preferred method of weight loss and believe me I have tried that. I did not know there was anything wrong with asking for other options to help. I do not remember the last time I felt so insulted. If you are thinking of visiting this doctor, I would advise you to keep looking. read more

we had been using this practice since 1981 my whole family used to go there I have not been for maybe 10 yrs - I am not the run to the doctor type person the receptionist when i called was very short and rude not friendly not helpful - said I was considered a new patient since I have not been for so long and since I was on medicare I could only see a nurse pediatrician very short with me did not care at all - I am sitting here in pain and this is the kind of person I get to talk to - NO - No one in my family will use this practice again read more

I highly recommend this place! Dr. Truong is my doctor and she is great! She takes the time to listen and treats you as if you were a family member. She is very smart in figuring out what could be causing your symptoms and treats the whole person. Her staff is great too. The nurses are very friendly and always explain to you what they are doing when they come into the room. Last time I had Becky and she is very good and is always in a happy mood! I've never waited more than 15 minutes to be seen. Once Dr. Truong was not available and I saw Dr. Rice-- I liked her a lot too. Getting an appointment is very easy and if needed you can be seen the same day or the next. All the staff is very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended! read more

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! The office hours are Mon-Fri 8am-5pm, with lunch from 12pm-1pm however at 1:15 are still forwarding all calls. This is not the first time mid day that the calls are forwarded rather than being answered. The receptionist always have bad attitudes in person. read more

I was very happy with the treatment and service I received from everyone at this practice from the lab to reception to the doctor's assistants. I was Dr. Truong's patient and was very impressed with her attention and her diagnoses. I just moved to Florida or I would never choose to change doctors again! I have been a patient here for awhile and have zero complaints. I see Dr. Aramath primarily but I've also seen Dr. Rice. I can't say one negative thing about either doctor, they are both professional, knowledgeable and personable. The staff (nurses, receptionists, etc.) have always been terrific as well. I have seen a lot of doctors over the past several years, and I have had some terrible experiences so I have quite a bit of experiences for comparison. read more

Watch out for Steven Ciszewski. I went in for a check up with him and got some blood work done. He told me he would be emailing me back my results and that I would have all the details on my email. Two weeks later, the receptionist calls me and tells me that Dr. Ciszewski wants to speak to me about my blood work and it's urgent. I tell her that if I'm okay then I don't want to come in and that emailing me my results would be fine, since there would be a walk in charge of about $70. She told me she would speak to the doc and let me know what he says. He calls back and tells me that it's urgent and he wants to talk to me. I take off of work, come in, and he tells me I am okay. My blood work is normal. WTF. I walk out of there knowing what I already knew and I had to pay a walk in charge of $72. These doctors will do anything for you to come in and take your money. Find a better business and take your money elsewhere. read more

I have been going here to see Dr Dennis for over 20 years. She was an amazing Dr, with a lot of knowledge that she shared generously. She would help me look for natural options to help with almost any condition and I would rather not take medication unless it is the absolute best option. She just retired, so I was set up to see her replacement, Dr. Aramath. We spent some time chatting ( what a refreshing start!). Then when we had a chance to see what I needed and what she could do, we could see it was not a good fit for us. So I will look for a different primary care physician. But she made sure I had what I needed to get by until I could find someone else. She was so genuine, empathetic and compassionate that I am sorry I will not be continuing with her. I would highly recommend Dr. Aramath to anyone. This practice has been so good to work with, I will miss them. I also loved the opportunity to get to know this woman and together have a conversation specific to what would be the best for me. read more

I'm a new patient of Dr. Aramath by referral and she is knowledgeable, listened to my concerns and informed me of the follow up process. The issue I would like to address is the office. PLEASE someone remodel this office. It's old and drabby, furniture is old, offices brown and tan, bathroom is joined to a patient room. Patient healthcare is #1 concern but it needs to be appealing to those who visit. A little paint and office furniture can go a long way. read more

I wrote review on here before . Don't know what happened to it . Huummm . I went here . Mainly to Dr. Dennis . I would see others if she was not available . She retired last December . Only fault on her part is not knowing that until I call in for a appointment in Nov. and told me. Than I was dropped as a patient all together . That no one was accepting new patients . NEW ? than sent me a letter to not call back .Because I was calling and asking why . I paid my bills on every visit . Never had out standing balance . I went there for 20 + years . I have never been treated like this before . Maybe that is why Dr. Dennis retired . I still have not found another Doctor. You know you get used to going somewhere and feel comfortable. Not that it is that great of a place . . Just sad how I was treated when I did nothing to deserve it . You where wrong !!!!! Hope you are never treated like this . read more
