***Over 3 years due of a review I decided to lawyer up because I was served with child support papers from Gia Pacheco lawyer group in montebello. Absolutely horrible just all around, just like every other money hungry attorney nothing else really matters after he gets paid, we paid a 5k retainer for my child's custody case to be seen all the way through just to get a call from Teresa the "accountant" after my first TSC letting me know i needed to pay another 5k!!?!??? When we had originally met and i hired him he said the $5,000 retainer covers my whole case from beginning to end, so where was this extra $5,000 coming from?? When he never even showed up for the TSC in the first place and i was the only one present for my case, allegedly he couldn't "connect" to appear remotely but as i had trouble as well i was still able to figure it out to telephone into the conference not being a "professional" myself, i would not recommend him or his "associates" to anyone for any type of legal matter or advice. Wanted to know when my case was filed because time was of the essence ( when I would call everyone was clueless and couldn't give me my case number) . When I made my first payment he told he he would get it done that same day yet didn't. I mailed him a letter asking for a copy of my file and reimbursement I was ignored me. I had no choice but to report him to the state bar ( this is your right to do when an attorney is none compliant ). I felt robbed but thankfully the State Bar did it's due diligence and he was investigated. If you have any isssues with this firm do not be afraid to report it. The experience I had using this law firm was horrifying in the beginning not because of Mr. Villegas but because of his paralegal Ana. If you get this person to work on your case good luck. Don't expect any updates on your case, don't expect her to return any of your phone calls, don't expect paper work to be done correctly. She thought I was the recipient when I was a petitioner and filed my paper work with spelling errors and grammar errors. When I asked her to make the corrections numerous times she had an attitude. Good luck in calling her out on her errors. She will than mail you an invoice with outrageous charges. But ... in all of this horrifying experience there was one paralegal name Jill that saved the day. She went above and beyond to fix the errors that were made not by her. Followed up with me and I didn't even have to call. She emailed me updates, submitted proper documents with no spelling errors and all around professional. I had a situation a few years ago where my ex committed welfare fraud and one day I got a letter from the county saying I owed 20 thousand dollars because my ex was collecting welfare and basically double dipping taking my child support and unbeknownst to me she was on welfare. We had split up over a year prior so I got served at an address that I know longer lived at. I needed a lawyer so I contacted Villegas and he assured me that he could handle the situation. The initial agreement that the county offered I thought was unfair...but in the end after paying Villegas he showed up late to court and I ended up paying more per month and had to pay back 20 thousand dollars in a lump sum to get a lien off my property and to avoid wage garnishment. Villegas seemed to be good buddies with the public defender so I paid him my monthly support went up and I had to pay back the full 20 grand....I was better off without a lawyer read more

Where to begin? If only we could go back in time and correct the mistakes we make. Unfortunately we cannot. If I could, I would certainly steer clear of this guy as an attorney. Back in 2014 I was a father seeking guidance and protection in the world of divorce. Armando gave me neither. In fact, due to his lack of guidance and protection he has taken a tenuous situation and made it much worse. As he frivolously gave away my right to 50/50 custodial time and counseled me not to worry, because I was getting a good deal and custody can be revisited at anytime. I now find myself in ongoing and 5 years of custody battles accompanied by nearly $50,000 in attorney, evaluation, court fees, and more. I have come to fully understand that this was the worst counsel he could have possibly given me or any other father. In fact, it isn't easy and it's nearly impossible to regain custodial time. If you set up a fair and balanced agreement in the beginning it eliminates power struggles and sets everyone on a good path. In my case, without hesitation he gave away any and all power I could've retained. All other facets of the divorce agreement were just as detrimental. If I would've received even the slightest of warnings things may have turned out different. He happily took my money and didn't care about the ramifications. If you're a father seeking protection and guidance, do your homework and understand the system and most definitely never give anything up. Don't try to be the nice guy because in divorce nice guys finish last. Most certainly heed my warning and seek a professional who will truly have yours and your children's best interest at heart.
