Terrible. I grew up eating armandos pizza and I moved out of town for a few years and came back and wanted some armandos pizza and wings and I am beyond disappointed . My wings were beyond soggy and almost undercooked. I had to broil them in the oven and my pizza was super soggy and doughy to so I also baked that in the attempt to fix it. I also don't like that they don't use fresh mushrooms.. they use canned mushrooms. For the price (60$ for a medium pizza and a pound of wings with delivery) I do not think it is worth it . I won't be ordering from armandos anymore. read more

Note: review is only for pizza Now that I live in Long Island, NY, no one ever believes me that Windsor Ontario is the home to the best pizza--even better than NY. Granted, it's a different "style" as another reviewer called it, but still it's better than anything I get in NY. It's nice to come home to Windsor, and have the best pizza in the world. I had a last minute invitation to join a group of friends for a night out, and I'm glad I did! Armando's is a staple in Windsor, and I had a great experience with friends and eating wonderful pizza. The group we were with are getting married this weekend, so they wanted to have a bunch of friends out to enjoy the night before their big day. We decided on two king sized pizzas, meat lovers and the special without mushrooms for the group. Our waitress was very helpful and pleasant, and was quick to refill our drinks. The pizza came out fairly quickly and tasted absolutely delicious! It was hot, and the toppings were delicious. I stuck to the special and had probably more of my share of the pizza and the side I sat on, we couldn't finish the entire thing, so I got to take some home! I highly recommend Armando's Pizza as a staple in Windsor, also what Windsor is fairly known for. I can't get this good for pizza when I go back home to London, and I am spoiled to have grown up with awesome pizza. read more

I was most disappointed with the pizza we ordered. There was absolutely no flavour to it, and it was not fresh. The dough was hard and stale. Maybe we could forgive them leaving off a few toppings, which they did, but covid or not, what we received was grossly a waste of $50. This is the second time I've been grossed out by Armando's food. The first was the chicken we ordered for a family gathering. The chicken was white and flavourless. I am done with them. Never again. Save your money people. read more

Went for lunch right at 11 when they opened. Me and my girlfriend got a 16 piece mushroom pepperoni and bacon Pizza. Pizza came out in less than 15 minutes. Crust was nice and crispy to my liking. Michelle was our server she was very nice and very fast with everything. (We let her know we had to get back to work for noon) and she made sure everything came as fast as possible and even asked if we wanted our bill before we were done eating so we didn't have to sit there and wait. All in all service was great and so was the food. Will definitely be returning. read more

Armandos food is excellent! We've been customers for years and seeing as COVID has made us take out customers as well I felt I had to say something. I'm not this person - the person who complains. But even though the food is excellent, there is something getting lost. While we continue to order (prob stupidly) the last four times things have been wrong or just not there, while it was first a missing bottle of pop, then it was a missing meal and the last time the delivery guy was like "whatever, see ya" and we paid for food we didn't even get! Now we ordered through the skip the dishes from the cabana store and specifically said veal cutlet with absolutely no cheese and guess what! Covered in cheese! What used to be considered Windsor's best pizza has completely switched in our opinion. We had gone tonight looking to dine in (as their voicemail says that they are opened) only to find out that their dining room is completely closed with no idea as to when they will be opening. As well, when we asked why it was closed, we were met with a shrug and no explanation. We then proceeded to place our order for takeout but once the order was brought home, it was disappointing and not quality food. We had asked for the pizza specifically to not be burnt and the corners were completely black. The eggplant was soggy, mushy and not seasoned and the sides were undercooked and cold. We had called while waiting for the order to ask for extra salad dressing and croutons, which were not provided. As well, our appetizer dish (which had been served hot every other time we ordered) was stone cold. We called the manager to let them know about this all. While there was an adequate resolution of them providing us with a partial credit, we don't even want to use it because of how bad the food and overall experience were. Armando's Leamington Restaurant has been consistently good over the years. It is and italien restaurant known for their pizza. On a few occasions, we order the aracine as an appetizer, a pizza between the two of us and a bottle of wine. This combination is perfect for a date night, the aracine is a delicious start to the meal, all Armando's pizzas are great and they have a good selection and a house red is the perfect combination. At the end, you left with a reasonable priced delicious meal, not overly full and able to enjoy the rest of the evening. This past visit a group of us went for lunch. I ordered the chicken parmesan sandwich off the express lunch menu. The sandwich was decent, not great. The presentation was nice, but the sandwich itself was simple and dry. Another member at the table ordered the steak sandwich and loved it only having good things to say. Between these two sandwiches, I would recommend the steak. The meals also come with a small loaf of fresh bread, with a oil and parmesan plate for dipping - I would recommend adding balsamic vinegar as well. I'm going to start off this review by indicating that I'm not from Windsor. I feel like I'm somewhat of a worldly pizza eater; I've had it from coast to coast, in different styles. There seems to be a style of delivery pizza unique to the area; the pizza is served with TONS of toppings, as in so many they fall off while you're eating, cheese being thinly layered under the topping and using shredded pepperoni. I'm not particularly fond of this style and have found it at EVERY non-multinational owned pizza place. Now let's just put aside my dislike for the "Windsor Style" pizza. I placed an order to Armando's of a small pizza with mushrooms, green peppers, and pepperoni and 8 chicken wings. With taxes, my order came to almost $30.00, which I found expensive. However, I was willing to pay more for a good pizza. The pizza arrived after about a wait of an hour. The wings were delicious! They were some of the juiciest, meaty wings I've had in a long time. The pizza, however, was not so hot. Like literally, not very hot. Then I noticed that the mushrooms on the pizza were canned. When I'm paying 20$ for a pizza, I'd like fresh toppings. My boyfriend found the issue of the toppings overload distracting, and removed a bunch. To his horror, he found that the toppings were actually covering up the fact that there was VERY little cheese on the pizza. The toppings were falling off because they had nothing to hang onto. Maybe Armando's is a good restaurant for sit down dining, but I will not be ordering from there again. read more

CELIACs BEWARE!!!! I ordered a gluten-free pizza -asked numerous times when ordering to ensure I was going to receive a gf crust - when it arrived, I was still skeptical. It was doughy with a crust that had risen. It tasted identical to real dough. When asked, the waiter reassured me it was gf. Two days later, I returned and ordered the same thing - this time the pizza arrived with your standard pre-bought, frozen, dry, flat crust. What all celiacs are used to. When I inquired further our waitress told me that this is the only gf free crust the have and that I had been served real dough two days ago. In short, I WAS SERVED GLUTEN DOUGH and promised several times over that it wasn't while eating it!!!! As celiacs, most of you know the ramifications of this - 28 days for your stomach Celia to heal not to mention all the symptoms one has to endure for the entire month. I'm appalled! Shame on you! I am extremely disappointed in this restaurant. I am new to the Windsor area and decided to order a pizza. I specifically asked if they could make a thin crust, extra sauce and crispy pizza! The answer was yes they could - so I ordered it. It was delivered 60 min later not at all what I ordered. I called and complained to the manager, he apologized and said he would send another one out immediately- 40 min later it arrived. It was thinner and crispier but totally lacked in flavour and sauce. Can anyone in Windsor make a decent pizza now? I am a pizza fanatic but it seems like they just cant seem to hit it these days. Also, they asked for the first pizza back which I find extremely odd. What do they do with that one? Reheat it? Sell it? Eat it? My company and the delivery guy all that was strange as well. Nonetheless, I will not order from Armondos's on Walker road again. read more

Just wanted to share my experience. We were there for lunch yesterday, we were greeted by a hostess and offered us our choice of seating. Waitress came over as soon as we settled in welcomed us and took our drink order as well we ordered the calamari to start. She came back in a few minutes with our drinks and asked if we new what we wanted or needed more time and then she offered her help with what we might like. She was helpful with her recommendations. My daughter had the personal pizza which was a thin crust ham pineapple and onion but firm enough to hold up all the toppings. You can tell this pizza was made old school with love and attention just like Nonna used to make. I had the roasted red peppers grilled chicken sandwich with a side salad. Again perfect size sandwich made with old school red peppers like Nonna makes on the bbq. Fresh bun and very tasty sandwich. We also ordered a king size pizza to take home to Hamilton and what an excellent choice that was as the rest of the family really enjoyed the pizza. Well cooked fully covered with toppings and also cut evenly and throughout. Lastly the experience was topped off with the manager Susan coming over to check on us and even offered us suggestions for home cooked style meals that we can order for my daughter that goes to Windsor university delivered. I can only say that my experience was so bad after several days I just had to write this review. So I have wanted to try Armando's for a while. Whatever it might have once been it has totally lost its way. Waitress, horrible, and abrupt, obviously did not care about anything but checking the box on getting you to spend as much as possible but then she would be gone for 20 minutes at a time. Salad, I would say it was bag salad but bag salad is usually good. Individual pizza, can I say I was wishing for a dr orker. I wanted pizza and their pizza was not available at the cabana location. Go figure. Atmosphere, McDonald's like. The place is geared for fine dining pricing but the rest is completely lacking. Sad that people seem to be willing to settle for this. If I hadn't been with other people I would have left early on in the experience and saved myself the memory. read more

Went here last night with my wife. The service was fantastic, our waitress was very friendly and courteous. We ordered the bruschetta bread to start and it was amazing, some of the best I've ever had. For our mains, I orders the bbq chicken pizza and my wife ordered the 10oz steak. My pizza was awesome, I loved it. Her steak was just mediocre, a lot of fat. I guess what should we have expected for a 10oz steak for $20 at an Italian restaurant. Reviewing take-out pizza only. Got take - out a couple of times here while visiting from out-of-town for 3 weeks. For "windsor-style" pizza this is pretty good. Good ham and peperoni with a sauce that isn't too bland for the adults but not too spicy for the young kids. Will get take-out next time we visit. read more

I placed an order for delivery from Armandos on Walker Road. I ordered a steak sandwich medium well a soup and a pizza. The steak sandwich was cooked medium rare!! I called the restauraunt back to let them know that I wasn't pleased. The manager comes to the phone and says to me that is how he cooks it. He continued to tell me he didn't have to do anything. I wanted my money back but he said he would remake it and send it out. When it got here it was covered in cheese (Parmesan I assume) which I didn't order. The steak was half the size of the bun!! Used to order from here all the time til i kept noticing difference in their total price for pizza. They try to charge "gourmet" price for garlic and spinach toppings when both their online and printed menu list as regular toppings. Manager even went so far as to argue with me! I don't like giving low ratings but I felt like I had to warn people since their food made me sick. We went there with a large group and I ordered a baked calzone my wife ordered a fried one they mixed up our orders and didn't even bother to fix it, the waitress simply said "I didn't do it" obviously she was left holding the bag for poor management, carelessness and negligence of the kitchen. At the end they offered us under $6 off of our bill so we basically paid for their mistakes. The waitress was very nice but when there is a culture of neglect the service you get reflects that regardless of the employees personality. Some members of our group ordered coffee, I didn't but guess what? She brought me one. I will never go here again I used to order take out from the Cabana location but I'm so disgusted by everything that happened that I'm not even going to do that anymore. Ordered 60$ of food (pizza, mozzerella sticks and salad) and i get the mozzerella sticks would most likely not be gooey hot but for the pizza to be cold? I called to talk to them about this and they put me on hold to tell me "sorry it was cold but it had just come out of the oven, the driver must of had his windows down" first of all its about 90 degrees outside. This pizza is not on the menu, but that can hardly explain why it was not very good. I have enjoyed far better slices / pies at Whole Foods stores. Tonight I ordered from this place for the last time. We decided on pizza today and ordered what I thought was a "deal" from the location on walker road. We were told it would be 45 mins to an hour which was fine. At just a little after the hour our pizza arrived. What was supposed to be 29.95 "special" cost me 38 bucks plus tip. My roommate received the pizza from the delivery guy and headed up the stairs. When he put the pizza on the counter and opened the box it was crumpled to the back with the last few rows stuck to the top. We promptly called and let them know we were not happy. Without asking they offered to drop off a second pizza (with no mention of how long or what to do with the original) after about 15 mins we decided to eat what we had as we were both starving and he didn't say they would be coming to pick up the pizza. About 40 mins later a driver came with a replacement pizza and asked for the ruined one which we ate about half of which wasn't stuck to the box. Since we had Eaten some of the pizza we offered to pay for it. The driver said we may be paying him not enough and had to call the boss. The boss Said to charge us 20 bucks. Again made the mistake of not opening the box and same thing happened to this one just not as bad this time. I took photos this time and will be sending them to the wonderful people at Armando's. I was so disappointed with this place. We had scheduled to have a family members wake at Armando's and it is an experience I never want to repeat again. When we first got there everything seemed very disorganized, which didn't upset me too much as we were a large group. Unfortunately things did not improve from there. It took nearly an hour for the staff to take our orders; now don't misunderstand me, we had told them in advance that we were coming and they had a limited menu we could order from in order to make it easier for the kitchen staff to keep up. After our orders were taken it was another hour and a half to get the food, all told 3 hours before anyone saw any food. Then after we got our food we only had a half hour to eat it before the restaurant turned out the lights and told us to leave. I will never eat here again and will absolutely tell anyone thinking of having any function here to try elsewhere. It made a bad day absolutely worse. read more
