We had to add so much "Parmesan" and chilli flakes to get some flavour. You can see the chicken piece in the background... not appetizing.

First time I visit this pizza place, the great ratings intrigued me to try it out. Staff were friendly and food came in a timely manner. We ordered a large pizza, pineapple, bacon and the deluxe option of "grilled chicken," and wings. There was little to no pizza sauce, the chicken wings tasted bland (they had honey mustard) even with the sauce, the chicken meat itself did not have taste. The cheese on the pizza was stringy but lacked taste, maybe salt? I never add salt to my food but I wish I would had added some. The pineapple and bacon were what I expected. However, the chicken topping looked like pieces or processed chicken meat. I tired one bite and spit it out. When the staff (maybe owner?) come out to ask about the food I had to be honest. He explained that they buy good chicken and it comes cooked, then they cook it again with the pizza. Maybe buy better quality chicken that doesn't look or taste like the equivalent of a hotdog to steak. Maybe we just ordered a bad topping choice?

The people who took us out picked the toppings. But when I started eating the pizzas I was impressed! It was so good, and I now understand that Windsor style pizza is a thing. We had canolis too, and it was one of the best canolis I've ever had. One of the locals ordered some to go because the knew how good they are. I took one home to my wife and she was sold. They have multiple locations which is nice too.

Antonino's Original Pizza - South Windsor: Pizza That'll Steal Your Heart!…read more Holy smokes, Antonino's Original Pizza at 4350 Howard Avenue is my new food crush! This family-run joint has been slinging Windsor's legendary thin-crust pizza since '59, and I'm dying for more. That crispy, cornmeal-dusted dough is straight-up addictive--crunchy, chewy, and topped with their fiery, tomato-packed sauce and melty Galati mozzarella. Toss on that shredded pepperoni, and I'm starving already! I got a split pizza--Angry Hawaiian and Angry Canadian with extra basil. The Angry Hawaiian was a spicy-sweet dream with juicy pineapple. The Angry Canadian? Oh man, bacon, mushrooms, and that peppery sauce had me eating non-stop. The taste vibes were unreal. Every crust was golden, crispy perfection. And to top it all off those fresh-made cannolis with my Italian espresso? Creamy, sweet heaven--I think I'm going to go past there tonight and get some more! The vibe's warm, the staff's like your best buds, and curbside pickup's super quick. I also noticed in the menu some Gluten-free options to keep everyone happy so that was nice too. Antonino's is really a Windsor pizza done right. I'm counting down to my next slice!

I was in town for a volleyball tournament and we finished late. What is the go to at that point?…read more Pizza of course. I quickly searched for gluten free options near me and Mootz Pizzeria popped up. I ordered the Beast of Burden. It was soooooooo good. My teen daughter even devoured it and she's usually a picky pizza eater. My only negative is not ordering more food! This was one of the best gluten free pizzas I've had. Thank you Mootz Pizzeria for finding a way to master pizza for us that can't have gluten.

The vibe was lovely and fun on a Saturday night. We started with the burrata, which was excellent. It wasn't just a basic arugula and burrata situation, it was well seasoned with a really nice olive oil, lemon, and balsamic combination that made it feel elevated. It also came with baguette slices, but those are made with their pizza dough (which contains eggs). Once we mentioned my egg intolerance, our server was incredibly kind and checked with the kitchen, and they were able to make alternative slices using their gluten-free dough. Really appreciated that extra effort. The Grandma's Pizza (we did it on the gluten-free crust because of the egg) was pretty good. The crust itself was solid, especially for gluten-free. The toppings leaned heavier on the cheese than the sauce, and I didn't love the cheese as much, but it was still an enjoyable dish overall. Service really stood out -- everyone we interacted with at the bar was friendly, attentive, and accommodating.

Detroit style square pies are my favorite and Buddy's did not disappoint. I actually had 3 slices COLD the next morning and it tasted even better. The quality of the dough and toppings was superb. The drinks were also amazing! It was my first time drinking in almost 5 months and the cocktails were really good. One of my gfs asked for an adjustment on our espresso martinis and the bartenders obliged no problem. The service here is excellent. If I'm ever back in Detroit one of my first stops will be Buddy's!

At the restaurant side we chose the recommendations given by the first person except we chose to keep the salad dressing that came with the salad. I will say everything was very good. Our server was very attentive. We decided to order the Super 6 Mile and added banana peppers and took out the ham. We also added the Greek salad to share. Both items were a hit. We really liked our food. The ambiance was cool they were showing the Pistons v Cavs game so everyone was entertained. The biggest surprise of the night was when it came time to get the check the waitress said that the gentleman that was next to us paid our bill and didn't want the waitress to tell us he did. That has never happened b4 we were so grateful. After posting on Tik tok they say this is a regular thing that happens in Detroit. Thank you if you ever see this. We truly appreciate it & thanked you on tik tok & ig. Never experienced that act of kindness and we will certainly pay it forward.

I don't know what this man's intentions were, but he could've came up to me and just simply asked "are you doing okay? is there anything i can do for you?" instead of scooping me out as if i was getting ready to commit a crime. as I spend more time being back in my home in Detroit, i'm just not understanding why it's too difficult to receive decent and humane customer service. i'm just in complete concern & dismay due to this experience, do so much better.
