The flagship store carries all of the brand's best-known and new clothing items along with fishing and outdoor gear (you can get fly fishing lessons here, too). It's beautiful two-level store, roomy, outdoorsy with a knowledgeable and friendly staff. They welcome dogs, too! They have periodic sales, which we checked out on our most recent visit, and that's a good thing since Orvis clothing is of very high quality but not inexpensive. We are still wearing pants and shirts purchased a decade ago, and they have held up well. We also love their huge fireplace, a great place to sit and get warm when it's cold out (not like the 90-degrees when we stopped by). Men's clothing is on the first floor, women's on the second. We enjoy both.

Following day, we stopped into this Orvis "outlet" store. Outlet in quotes bc...yeah, not sure what prices are at a regular Orvis store, but prices here...are as you'd expect them to be. Not...outlet store prices lol. Does that take away from the fact that this store is FN INCREDIBLE?!? Not even close. Inside is like a warm cabin or ski lodge. It's so beautiful inside. The layout...perfect. Has an upstairs and downstairs. They have every kind of outdoor clothing you can imagine. Only think I bought tho....a pair of amazing wooly hiking socks haha! And a bag of organic treats for my dogs. OH! There's a sign outside that says all dogs are welcome. I'm telling you, even if I'm like iffy on a store, have mixed feelings or whatever...IF they are nice to dogs and welcome them and even have treats set out for them...to sample haha! The store will almost always get 5 stars from me. When stores like this recognize dogs as our legit family...how can anyone say anything bad about them? The staff was so friendly with my little Alfred too. He's very tiny. 6ish lbs. Made us happy to see a couple of golden retrievers in there at the same time. Dogs are family through and through. Alfred is my child. I don't have human kids. My dogs are my kids. Alfred is my heart and soul. So it truly makes me beyond happy to see stores like this basically encourage you to bring your dogs in. He loves the organic treats too. I probably should have gotten a few bags, but just in case he decided he didn't like them...yorkies can be super picky and weird with their food and treats lol...that's why I just got the one. The prices. Ok so they may be a little steep on most things. However, they have tons of stuff on sale. Good sale prices too for people looking for a deal. Oh! They have a section for dogs too. Clothes, beds, leash's, harnesses, etc. I'm so glad we stopped in here. I love stores like this back east. It has such that "east coast" feeling to it too. Manchester had a lot of skiing in the area. This is a great place to find some gear for that. You seriously can't go wrong here. Even if it's targeted to us tourists lol, I just know a lot of locals go here. Employees are SO friendly too! So welcoming. It's so weird to go to stores these days where employees are so nice bc as we all know...shopping in like 90% of retail stores these days hire ... *this* generation and most of them don't even make eye contact or say hello. So going to stores where they legit welcome you in from the second you walk in...very refreshing. Then checking out, the guy and I had a little conversation about paying our credit card bill haha! Basically, it's cool to have employees at stores that aren't dead in the eyes lol or absolutely robotic. Whoever does the hiring here knows exactly what they are doing. Last month, for instance we found some really great deals on sweaters ($189 wool sweaters discounted to $74) and shirts. It's not a particularly large store (two levels), but it has a good assortment of clothing for men and women, and bear in mind that because it is an outlet not all sizes in everything will be available. The staff is very courteous and know the stock well. Looking back we have to say that we have never left a visit here without at least a couple of purchases. If you're in the area, do check out the flagship store, but don't forget to come by here as well. We are fans.

All the clothing was up to date with nice color schemes. At other outlets I have seen some bad clothing mixes. I was so tempted to do an early Christmas shopping. The deals in the mens dept were just as good. My boyfriend got an outfit for probably 30 percent of the retail cost. Of all the outlets in the area definitely check this one out.

What a pleasant surprise -- not only did she find beautiful pieces, but I also discovered that Theory carries men's clothing! I honestly had no idea, and I've been missing out. A huge thank you to the two wonderful women who helped us today. They were warm, knowledgeable, and incredibly attentive -- striking that perfect balance of being helpful without hovering. They made the whole experience smooth, enjoyable, and even fun. Their sense of style and eye for fit was spot-on, and I walked out with pieces I genuinely love and feel great in. To the owners and management: you should absolutely advertise that you sell men's clothing! The quality, style, and service are top-notch -- but most guys (like me) just don't know it's there. We walked around the store on our own, and while 1-2 employees were working with the merchandise, no one greeted us like how employees normally do in outlets - eye contact, ask if we were looking for something, tell us about ongoing sales - which I thought was a little strange (next door at the Armani store, we were greeted with enthusiasm the moment we walked in... and we don't look like we could afford Armani!) There were no other customers in the store, and we were a group of six walking in. I've worked in retail for many years. No customers, no sale. Plus greeting customers is also a method of thwarting thievery because they know they've been acknowledged. My husband found something he really wanted, and there was a sign that stated 50% off, so we headed towards the register. I may have said something like "50% off?," she looked at the jacket, and said, "I don't think so. Nothing in the store is on sale." - This is an outlet store - There is a huge poster that covers an entire window outside that says, "everything 50% off" or something of that sort - There are signs on top of multiple racks stating 30% off, 50% off, etc. And you're telling us nothing is on sale?! Our friend walked by and showed her signs that stated percentages off. Meanwhile, she rings us up and the register automatically took off 50%, and she acted surprised. Were they having a bad day? Were they racist? Were they waiting for the tourist season to be over with (I mean again we were the only people there in the middle of the day, and it didn't look like others were coming into town)? If my husband didn't find that perfect jacket, we would have all walked out. Even a month later, this incident has been brought up several times on why it happened. I won't speculate but am just presenting the facts. On the positive side, this store has quite a bit of inventory, the prices are pretty good, and you are left alone to browse.
