I tried several options previously: A person that weeded and mulched for me but didn't know the difference between weeds and emerging growth. A company that was not reliable and would not show up consistently or sometimes not at all. Then at the recommendation of a neighbor I called Guy to help me clear out the back of my lot. And from there maintenance. Guy's staff does a fantastic job with the spring and fall cleanup as well as season long maintenance. They know what they are doing. I have also had areas where I've needed grass put in after a construction project and it has come out beautifully! In the last week they replanted another area for me. I met with Guy and told him what plants I wanted currently in the space, and would figure out the rest after, but wanted to get the shrubs in so they would be established before winter. I also asked them to transplant some lilies and a hydrangea from my front garden to the new area. They also re-built a low retaining wall for me last week. An electric fence, would not work for us. A local friend helped us to contact Anchor, while we were still living out of state. We settled on an aluminum fence, to maintain as much of the view as possible. A custom design takes a very long time, especially during these difficult times. Anchor was very honest about these wait times. In the end, the job was only pushed back a month from what we originally anticipated. Anchor explained that was the result of rain delay. When the crew showed up to install it was cold, and it even snowed. They continued to work through the snow, and they were very professional. My experience was nothing like any of the other reviews because I found the experience greatly disappointing and a waste of time and money. Jesse's lack of communication, motivation and organization led to my decision not to pursue the building of the custom home with OIC and to not trust the design documents to be accurate and complete, making this entire design experience a waste of time and money. Throughout the experience Jesse continued to demonstrate a lack of accountability or responsibility, letting me know everyone else was at fault including the city the lot is in, Heather an employee of OIC and myself but not Jesse. As Jesse stated he and his contractor made minor mistakes with their submission to the planning board like wrong year, wrong town name, whether they were using explosives or not, and removing the rain garden from the plan that was requested by me and something I wanted to have. Jesse's decisions to make changes to my requirements and not ask me but inform me or as he put it, "meant to tell me" made me mistrust what else he "meant to tell me but forgot" and the fact that I received an additional request to increase the budget significantly left me questioning if anything he stated was accurate or believable.

The first light that was inoperable, was within a year of installation and Dan was able to fix it. This second year, four of the lights became inoperable. Dan's business said they would come out to the house to assess. They failed to appear. I contacted them again and they apologized and indicated they would come out ....to no avail. Seems unprofessional to say you will do something and just no show. Certainly would consider this if you are considering utilizing their services.

Central Fence and Deck installed the fence 3 years ago. Shortly after the install the fence fell…read moreapart. They came to look at it and put it back together, but once again fell apart because the fence is held together with metal screws going into the vinyl wood look pieces. This is because the lengths of the sections are not equal to what the metal cross bar is so, instead of fixing the problem the installers attached the metal crossbars into the vinyl fencing. We have requested several times for them to fix the problem. They are now blaming it on the product manufacturer and last winter said they are waiting to hear from them to 'work with the owner' We have not heard from the fence company nor the manufacturer of the fence. It is quite obvious we are stuck with this awful fence. Please don't hire this fence company for any type of fence. They are not willing to be accountable for their mistakes. It cost us over 4k for this fence that is an embarrassment.
