Central Fence and Deck installed the fence 3 years ago. Shortly after the install the fence fell apart. They came to look at it and put it back together, but once again fell apart because the fence is held together with metal screws going into the vinyl wood look pieces. This is because the lengths of the sections are not equal to what the metal cross bar is so, instead of fixing the problem the installers attached the metal crossbars into the vinyl fencing. We have requested several times for them to fix the problem. They are now blaming it on the product manufacturer and last winter said they are waiting to hear from them to 'work with the owner' We have not heard from the fence company nor the manufacturer of the fence. It is quite obvious we are stuck with this awful fence. Please don't hire this fence company for any type of fence. They are not willing to be accountable for their mistakes. It cost us over 4k for this fence that is an embarrassment. read more

I'll start with the good, which is that our salesman, Eric was great! He came out, gave us a quote pretty quickly and stayed in touch until the install happened. As for the rest, I'll start with the awful service you get from Nicole in the Somersworth office. She called at 3:15pm saying the installers were coming the next day at 9:00am with no ability to adjust the day or time. When pointing out that this short notice was not easy to maneuver, she simply said, they are coming to do the job tomorrow and hung up. When they showed up, they left about 20 minutes later saying the materials loaded on the truck were wrong. I called Nicole trying to clarity on what happened and she said they would be back later to do the work. I asked for more clarity and she just hung up on me. The installers came back about 90 minutes later, started the work, and yet again, had to leave because they had the wrong materials. Not sure how this happens twice for one job. I called the office back and left a message for Kelly, but of course, no return phone call. The job is done and the fence looks nice, but I would never use them again and would not recommend them. read more

Initial contact was acceptable. After use of fence gate, called, constant texts, received same answer, I'll send it to scheduling. It's like hearing a shell-game. Very, very disappointing. We had an old, rotting fence that had to be removed, but granite fence pillars that had to be preserved. It was a complicated build, but the Central Fence team gave us a prompt fair quote, which included demo and removal of the prior fence. The team arrived promptly on the build-day, and stayed till after dark to get the job done in one day. They were excellent, professional, and the quality of their work spoke for itself. We've already received lots of positive comments from neighbors, and observed numerous cars slowing down to check out the new fence. This is an edit to my original five star review... after the installation I noticed dings, cracks and scratches in the vinyl fence. I contacted the company was told to mark the areas and send pictures; all of which I did. Someone did come out and initiated the repairs but didn't complete them, I decided I wanted to be here when the crew showed up. Well they showed up today, I was told that the original crew were sub contractors and did shoddy work! The person in charge seemed upset that I used a marker to show the areas in question, he said areas marked could have been sanded but not since I used permanent marker (I was told to mark the areas in question by office personnel). I am wondering if repairs can be finished today! As I expected, it can not...hopefully next Friday will bring resolution to this problem. Needless to say I will not be recommending this company based on "Service after the sale". I am sorry I didn't go with the other gentleman who quoted i didn't because he hadn't been around as long as Central Fence. read more

Nicole from the Somersworth location was terrible to work with. She would schedule a date of service and then when no one would show up that day, we didn't even receive a call that no one was even going to come. This happened 3 times in a period of several weeks. They were unable to figure out how to get one of our gates to be able to close and remain closed with a padlock. Their solution was to wrap some wire around the fence post to keep it closed. After numerous calls to the office asking for a solution, they weren't able to provide a solution even after a manager came to visit. read more

We had our fence installed about 1 month ago, and it's garbage. It's supposed to be a chainlink fence but it's so loose my dog goes right under it. We had to put rocks and boards all around the outside so my dog can't push it out and go under. It looks stupid too, it's not even level. I will NEVER use this com again. read more

This could have been a better review if I didn't experience such horrendous customer service after installation. Scheduled fence install for May (after sod install). They sent a guy, Tony, in April to install because he had a couple of free days. My yard was not complete. I told him we were having sod installed in May. But he installed the gates very low. After sod install I couldn't open gates at all. I asked for an adjustment and they told me I should have installed the sod before. This was the first projection of blame onto me. Then Kelli told me to watch YouTube videos and fix it myself. If I wanted them to do it, it would be a Friday in the future as they do repairs on Fridays. I didn't schedule with them and got someone else to do it. Today, 3 months later, I find 2 people on my property fiddling with the gate. No warning, no call, no communication. But when I emailed asking why they were there Mike said "you never told us you didn't want it fixed anymore". Projection of blame on the customer #2. So he expected me to have no access to my yard for 3 months? And the fact that no one called to ask me? And it's a Monday but they only do repairs on Friday. Hmmmm. Never recommending to anyone Update: Based on more projected blame from the owner to the customer with his response, I would like to add a few facts. The owner, Michael Galluzzo, was the "salesman " who walked the dirt property. Again, it was explained that sod would be laid, but if he conveniently didn't hear that explanation, did he think that I was leaving my yard as is, with the loam that was already laid? Makes no sense. Also, his workers who were met with hostility were apologized to, on site. There was an unmarked truck in my driveway and two very young men in my yard. And per my security camera, they never knocked- just helped themselves to my backyard. It could have been anyone. Once they identified themselves, I explained that I understood that it wasn't their fault but that they worked for a bad company with no communication. They agreed with me. I have never heard of a company that shows up three months after an issue without a phone call. At least the morning of installation, they called before he got there. Even though it was a month early and unexpected. And I updated the fact that it might have been a five star review otherwise because I'm not sure anymore. read more

I called and they set up a meeting around my schedule to have someone get me a quote. I had the quote the same day! They helped me with the fence permit that my town required and all logistics. We called Central Fence to get a privacy fence put up between us and a pain neighbor. Mike Galluzzo came out promptly and arrived on time to give us an estimate. We went thru fence options with him and came up with something that looked good and was reasonably priced. In April we called Central Fence for a quote for 5 sections of 5 ft privacy fence and a gate. Jason was at our house the next day to take measurements. We had the quote at the end of the day. We applied for the permit with the town (4/24), and promptly told Jason. He said for us to drop off a deposit (4/27) and we would be put in the schedule and we should see them in about 3-4 weeks. 6 weeks later we called to see when they would be out. Was told due to the rain they are a little backed up but on the afternoon of 6/14 someone would be there. Noone showed up, and no call. On 6/15 at 2:30pm a crew finally showed up. One section of fence was installed. But, it was 6 feet instead of 5 feet. We called at 5:10pm to tell them. On 6/16 we never heard from them so we called. We were told the crew would be there late morning. At 12:10 pm we called again. We were told the crew would be there in 15 min. 40 Minutes later, still no crew. I called and asked to speak with Mike the owner and was told they are pulling in right now. No, I was home and no crew. I told them I wanted my 40% deposit back and when the crew gets there they can take everything with them. It is not right to lie to customers and make them think they are not important. We waited 7 weeks (were told 3-4) and then were lied to and then to top it all off, the fence was the wrong size and we received no plan of action. Poor company to deal with. I think they take on more than they can handle. Small jobs take a back seat with this company. They need to communicate better with their customers. Costs nothing to make a phone call. read more

We are relatively new homeowners and this was our first experience with a home project of this scale. Central Fence was great throughout the process!! There were a few hiccups but they smoothed them out as quick as they could and showed extra effort quite a few times. Michael H and Leo were wonderful! They came out to the house for the tear down and removal of the old fence and then performed the install. The job took them longer than they had originally anticipated thanks to the massive rocks and roots they encountered when they started digging for the new posts. But they kept coming back and digging to ensure that the posts were seated securely so that we would get a strong, sturdy fence that would last a long time! Anytime we interacted with Michael H and Leo, they were friendly and patiently explained anything we asked about. There was a bit of a delay in the gates (not the fault of Central Fence) but as soon as they received them, Michael H and Ryan were back out to get those installed. They noticed that our driveway acts a bit like a wind tunnel while they were installing the double gate at the end of our drive so they made the extra effort to come back later in the day and installed a longer drop rod and even installed a second one so that both gates would be secure. Thank you so much Central Fence for giving us a beautiful, strong, dependable fence that we (and future owners) can enjoy for years to come!
