This was by far the worst experience with a plumbing company I have ever had. For background, i…read moreused to be a plumber. My wife called these people for a clogged kitchen sink. Their tech showed up, and proceeded to try to plunge the clog, despite being told that we have tried that. He then left to get a snake. He came back with a 1/4" 15' hand crank snake that might as well have come from fischer price. A plumber going to a clogged line call without a snake is just about the most idiotic thing i had ever heard . . . or so i thought. By this point, i was on a phone call for work when i hear blood curdling screams for help coming from the basement. This genius had decided to cut a hole in the pipe (without talking to anyone) and was trying to catch the drain water with MY bucket while standing on MY step stool in my finished basement. He then tried to tell me that he had to cut the hole, because his 15' snake couldn't reach the clog. He then claimed that because there was grease in the line, the whole line would need to be replaced, which couldn't be done until the next day. He wouldn't leave without getting paid and promised to send me an estimate to replace the line. To sum up, they demanded $330 for doing absolutely nothing, except making a mess and cutting a hole in my pipe. The next morning, i called because i had received no estimate. I was told that it would cost $600+ to replace the pipe, and that i would be charged a cancellation fee if i refused. Instead, i called a real plumber who came with a real snake and had the drain cleared inside 30 minutes. That and repairing the pipe cost less than what Burnell had charged for nothing. I generally don't mind being rescheduled but pro-active communication so I am not left waiting for technicians would be nice. If they are holding a 50% deposit on work, I would expect bettter communication with the customer on scheduling the service. The technicians while friendly and polite, have been inexperienced, resulting in small mistakes I don't feel are appropriate to deal with when paying for service. Including missing thread seal and forgetting to turn water supplies back on after service. Would not recommend.

The work was OK, but our general contractor had to compensate for some things he didn't do. Billington's time at the house was a little over 12 hours, but the office billed us for 20 hours. We asked for an explanation and the response was that they have time at the supply house getting materials if they are not at the job location. We felt that the rounding up of hours, the number of hours at the supply house getting materials, and the number of hours listening to stories about the Billington's change in diet are excessive. It's great to hear that a change in diet has improved health, but it's not worth several hundred dollars.

A month later, on a trip downstairs to a seldom used storage room beneath the new fixture, I find we've added a 'swimming pool' - a flooded mess of ruined paint, sheet rock soaked requiring a tear out down to the studs. A call to Billington, the contractor who'd handled the install, was met with not, "We'll be out right away!" But a promise to come by in a few days. Upon arriving a few days later, we were told they didn't have the right tools to address the situation and would be back. Four days later having heard nothing we had to call again. Once again, several days went by until they were able to come out. At that time, it was denial city - it became the house's fault due to it's "age"...and it was the existing piping that was now, "outdated" and "should've been replaced" before installing a new XYZ...As we had been hanging around, waiting for Billington to come back out and address the situation, we had called in not only a handyman, but another local(see my other reviews) plumbing company to take a look at this situation as we weren't sure Billington was ever going to return. We were advised, that there was nothing wrong with the existing piping, and it appears that the problem was installation using the incorrect parts. I get it - mistakes happen, and had the response been a prompt, " we'll take care of it" I would've been not only impressed but more than willing to hire them if needed in the future. And while they did correct the issue, they were bold enough to suggest us filing a homeowners claim for the ancillary damage and made no offer to pay for the repairs to the sheet rock, woodwork, etc. So we'll be footing that bill as well. Lesson learned!

We have been using TSK Heating and Cooling for just about 10 years. We first met Todd with TSK in…read more2010. We hired him to service a 20 year old Carrier A/C on its last legs. He kept it running for another year and half and in mid 2011 we used him to to put in a brand new furnace and central air. It was a pretty straightforward job. He replaced our old oil fired furnace with a brand new natural gas Carrier Infinity furnace and central A/C. We had no issues with that equipment when we sold our home 8 years later in 2019. Fast forward to 2020. We purchased a new house with Geo Thermal heating and cooling. We were excited for it until a month after moving in (November) the heat stopped working. Only one company in the area works on geo thermal and they determined it had a massive leak in the loop system in our yard, but they did not know where. They were kind enough to let me know that the loop system is 100 year life span pipe! Well apparently it isn't. Rather than invest major bucks in a brand new loop and with winter fast approaching we again called Todd with TSK. This time around TSK had more work to do. While our home had natural gas, it was built with Geo Thermal so there was more work to do putting in conventional heating and cooling. Todd and his crew got rid of the Geo Thermal system and had us up and running with a brand new high efficiency Lennox furnace and central air. He got the furnace installed fast, the night he completed the work we went from 30 degree weather to single digits. I can't say enough good things about TSK. I did get other quotes and TSK by far was they cheapest. Even if TSK was not the cheapest I probably would have still hired TSK as I know they do quality work and stand behind what they do!
