We have been using TSK Heating and Cooling for just about 10 years. We first met Todd with TSK in 2010. We hired him to service a 20 year old Carrier A/C on its last legs. He kept it running for another year and half and in mid 2011 we used him to to put in a brand new furnace and central air. It was a pretty straightforward job. He replaced our old oil fired furnace with a brand new natural gas Carrier Infinity furnace and central A/C. We had no issues with that equipment when we sold our home 8 years later in 2019. Fast forward to 2020. We purchased a new house with Geo Thermal heating and cooling. We were excited for it until a month after moving in (November) the heat stopped working. Only one company in the area works on geo thermal and they determined it had a massive leak in the loop system in our yard, but they did not know where. They were kind enough to let me know that the loop system is 100 year life span pipe! Well apparently it isn't. Rather than invest major bucks in a brand new loop and with winter fast approaching we again called Todd with TSK. This time around TSK had more work to do. While our home had natural gas, it was built with Geo Thermal so there was more work to do putting in conventional heating and cooling. Todd and his crew got rid of the Geo Thermal system and had us up and running with a brand new high efficiency Lennox furnace and central air. He got the furnace installed fast, the night he completed the work we went from 30 degree weather to single digits. I can't say enough good things about TSK. I did get other quotes and TSK by far was they cheapest. Even if TSK was not the cheapest I probably would have still hired TSK as I know they do quality work and stand behind what they do! read more

We thought we would stay local when we got a new furnace. Our old one was working but we figured it was just a matter of time. Now 3 years later and our new furnace from TSK is on the blink. The cooling aspect. They say the Freon leaked out but they don't know how. And of course they are charging us. The owner has been quite responsive and I'm hoping they will fix it and charge less. Their maintenance plan is very costly. They say clean once a year. read more

Our hot water heater failed us, and TSK was out immediately to see the issue and replace our tank. We had multiple quotes, and their rate was the best. As a new home owner, I appreciate how they went into detail of what they were replacing, and how the hot water heater worked. Have relied on TSK for years, to provide annual services, and emergency repairs to our 30+ year old gas furnace. Whether working with the owner, Todd, or any of the staff that have come to the house, there is a genuine sense of honesty and expertise when diagnostics are done, and repair costs are estimated. Have always experienced job/repair proposals that truly identify and address the cause of malfunction(s), and have never felt as if I'm "being sold" on larger, more expensive, and unnecessary items. (For example: one year, in the middle of winter on a sub-zero night, the furnace would not ignite. A service rep came to the house, quickly diagnosed the issue on the decades old furnace as a dirty electric lead that would not generate an adequate spark to ignite the unit. He cleaned the lead, re-installed it, and the unit worked for the years following. Never attempted to sell a new furnace, or present the issue as more complicated than it was). Most recently, TSK replaced the gas furnace and central air system with a high-efficiency Lennox unit. My central air system has been struggling this summer and we've got a few days of mid to high 90's heading our way, so I finally decided it's time to call a professional. After asking for company suggestions on a local Facebook group, TSK was the most recommend. I called on Thursday, 7/16 in the afternoon and they had a service technician here first thing Friday morning. I've been in my house almost 4 years. I have never had the AC serviced and I don't know when it was with the previous owner. After a quick inspection, the tech warned me that my unit is 25 years old and replacement was suggested because of age alone, which I completely understood, but a new unit wasn't in the budget since we have a newborn at home. The tech had no problem going back out and getting that old unit tuned up as requested. Very friendly. Very informative. Great pricing. Great service. Very professional. We will definitely be calling them when it is finally time for an upgrade. read more

TSK installed the AC unit in our new home two years ago. It has never performed adequately, so we called to have it checked out after having been told by four other HVAC professionals that the unit was too small for the house. A TSK representative visited and did not confirm that assessment but determined that the unit had the wrong piston. After waiting several weeks for them to obtain the necessary part we called TSK again to find that it had arrived but we had never been contacted. Finally Todd Kastberg came to replace the piston, but when questioned about the size of the unit he said that if we didn't trust him we shouldn't have called him. We didn't hire him. Our builder did. Trust is earned. We offered him the opportunity to earn ours. If a person's immediate response to a legitimate question is the defensive expectation of unearned trust, our conclusion is that they are unworthy. If we need further assistance, we will call someone who cares to earn our trust and confidence. Sadly, Todd and TSK did not. read more

My first experience and I will never go to anybody else but TSK. Thursday evening three days before Christmas with a housefull coming over for the holiday, I come home to no heat. I was frantic and just randomly googled someone for 24-hour service. Thank goodness, the first on the list was TSK Heating and Cooling. I called them and within minutes had my call returned. In less than two hours Doug was at my house and less than an hour figured out the problem. He was so kind and patient with me losing my mind. I needed a new motherboard and he said he would have someone on it immediately, and if the part was available he would be over the following morning to put it in. I received a call at 8:15 the next morning. He was picking up the part and would be over shortly. He was at my home a couple of hours later and had it fixed before noon at an extremely reasonable cost. I cannot recommend this company enough if you're having a heating issue. Reasonably priced and fast install. I had to replace my nearly 20 yo system. Got 3 quotes and TSK was the lowest. I was also surprised that the install of the natural gas furnace and ac took 2 techs less than 6 hours. Other companies were telling me at least 2 days with 4 man crews. Okay. Long story here. We found TSK when we lived in Virginia. We had a rental house and the hvac went out. We reached out to TSK and just speaking on the phone with Todd was golden. He is kind, calm, collected, professional, and you just get a sense of low stress from him which is great especially in high stress situations. I drove up right away, they replaced the hvac and AC. The AC was then crushed before it had ever been turned on. It was under warranty, so Todd came back and replaced it. Then the AC started having issues and without an hour Todd was there to fix it. We then moved back to NY, bought another house, and needed to convert to gas. In 2 days they replaced our furnace, water heater, and ran a gas line for my new oven and range. For the past fee days I felt like the temperature was dropping in our house, and it's 2 getters outside so I was immediately nervous. I called yesterday morning and by 4pm Todd was here and found the problem. Our filter was disgusting!! We didn't know there was a filter lol. It's nice to have a company with good morals and values that you know you can count on. And we have never had an issues with their work. It's always 100%. Thanks Todd and TSK! read more

Terrible pricing experience with TSK. This company installed our furnace and central air. The furnace stopped working on the 2nd season. TSK was contacted for a service, a cleaning was done for $299 (when I asked why so much? Was told it was really dirty). The control panel had burned out and required replacement (which I confirmed from another source the day prior to TSK arriving and was told the part number and located a brand new one for less than $10). My main problem with TSK is I did ok the cost of the high price cleaning because I had no choice once they had begun, however, I never was provided a quote on the repair/replacement of the circuit panel for $269. I spoke with Todd the owner when he handed the bill for $607 and explained my concerns, he disagreed and said that is the part cost. I then stopped my payment because I felt completely taken advantage of! I don't have a problem paying for a service but after contacting other companies for quotes I've confirmed I was ripped off. I have issued a full payment for this service as a suit was going to be filed by TSK, I know feel it is my duty to WARN others. I am most saddened that I referred friends to this company as well. read more

Had TSK come to look at adding a zone in my house. They wanted to go with absurdly expensive system, $4,000. I had the wire run and called TSK back to get them to come hook up the rest of the system, but apparently my project wasn't enough money to make it worth while. They still charged me $100 for "diagnostic" and I never heard from them again despite me leaving numerous messages. Thieves. read more
