Amazing experience with Einstein moving company during my recent move! I appreciate their clear pricing structure with no hidden fees. You pay for exactly what you're quoted, and they accept credit card. I had two movers, both of whom were punctual, professional and communicative. They had all equipment required to disassemble and reassemble furniture, and were careful when transporting everything. None of my furniture was damaged. The movers did accidentally scratch the floor of my original house, but I filed a claim with the company and they fixed it within a week. I also noticed that they forgot to put the lamp shades back on the lamps, and they sent someone to my new home to finish the job. We have moved a bunch of times and these are the best movers we have ever used. We moved from a 3-story townhome to a 2-story single family home nearby in Austin. Sebastian & crew were awesome. They were extremely professional and efficient--they did the whole move in 4 hours, including taking apart and reassembling some difficult pieces of furniture. Based on our estimate we were expecting it to take at least 6 hours, and cost is largely based on how much time it takes, so they saved us hundreds of dollars by being so quick. These guys help pack, prepare, move, and budget your money. They were honest about the amount of items we had and said that they were going to be way under the time minimum. So, they asked if there was anything else they could move for us! They were truthful about saving us money and were happy to do it for us. Our movers names were Nate S. and Joseph M. My boyfriend and I hired this company to assist us with packing and moving into our new home at the end of October. Ultimately, they charged us almost double what we were initially quoted and took over 8 hours to move our 1st floor two bedroom/two bath apartment, and didn't even break a sweat! But aside from those issues, the most upsetting findings came in the next couple of weeks as we began to unpack our new home. We found that items were hastily thrown in boxes, boxes were mislabeled and left in the incorrect rooms -- such as a box containing an outdoor plant and potting soil that was labeled "kitchen" that was left in our master bedroom, some large, heavy items, such as our safe, and parts of our bed frame were left behind at our old home, our flat screen TV, desk and a couple of other smaller glass items were broken, our deceased friend's bible was packed with bathroom hygiene items and had rubbing alcohol spilled all over it, and several pairs of designer sunglasses are missing and seem to have been stolen. The only reason I gave them a second star was due to the prompt and professional relies I received from branch manager, Calvin Hughes and Stephanie, from their customer experience team, when I raised the above issues with them. I am still working with them on the claim related to the damages incurred during our October 17th move, and plan on amending this review once that process is complete. read more

Back in September I was looking for movers for a last minute cross-state move. I wasn't having any luck with finding a good place to hire until I remembered my friend Frank worked for a moving company. I reached out to the company and from there the communication was easy and quick. They sent out two great guys who helped wrap our delicate furniture and load everything up in a timely manner. This review is strictly about the quality of service received and nothing to do with the 2 movers who were kind and as professional as they could be given the circumstances. This move took place on July 1st 2024. We were moving out of a 2 bed 2 bathroom (on the 3rd floor) apartment into a house. We requested additional movers since we had multiple large pieces of furniture including an enormous multi sectional couch. We asked for 4, they sent us 2. When the movers arrived, they asked us what they wanted us to move and what not to move which is strange considering that we wanted them to move everything. They also told us that dispatch had said it was on the first floor. Thinking that they needed additional help, I called dispatch to remind them our apartment was on the 3rd floor to which they confirmed it was in our notes. The 2 movers were taking so long that I myself had to step in to help. If I hadn't helped stage items outside the truck for them, they would have taken 11-12 hours. Additionally one of them injured themselves so we were down to a single mover while we waited for a second. They ended up taking so long, we ultimately had them just leave items in the living room so we could sort them ourselves later. Einstein then gave us credit for damaged items at about 1/3rd of the damage and that's just what we saw. Remember we had to ask them to just put stuff down in the living room since things got so chaotic. Sucks that we had this experience. Never using Einstein again. read more

Garret and Lukas made moving sooooo much less stressful. They were on time and moved FAST! No damage done to anything. They brought everything needed to move things out and into the new place. I have used Einstein Moving Company three times and this most recent time was the worst experience anyone could go through. I was first quoted just over $700 to move my two bedroom apartment to a two bedroom house. I was moving from a second floor apartment to a house with easy access. Granted, I have a family of three so there was a decent amount of boxes (approx 30 boxes) and furniture to move (2 beds, a couch set, entertainment center, etc). My biggest concern has always been moving the 80" Sharp TV I have. The movers were moving everything so well that I really felt like I had nothing to worry about. They were taking longer than the previous times they've moved me, but I was just assuming this was a lot for two men to move within 4 hours. I was anticipating 5.5 hours, however they took 6 hours. That's fine. Let's move on to the reason you're reading this review. I watched the movers damage a wall in my home. I witnessed the movers drop my Polk Audio home theater speakers. They told me not to worry because they would cover everything. All I had to do is submit a claim. Sounds super easy..... Then they left. I began looking at all of my items to see if anything else was damaged. Oddly enough, they did not show me any of my TV's or plug them in to confirm they worked after moving them. Then I found a huge hole in the screen of my 80" Sharp TV. I promptly submitted the claim, provided all the information they needed on my 10 year old 80" TV because all I wanted was for my items to be replaced. After they reviewed my claim, I was told that all they could offer me was a 70" TV made my Hisense (a budget brand). I asked how they consider that a fair replacement and they said that was because my TV was old and because 80" TV's are no longer produced, they only make larger than 80" TV's now. They also damaged my daughters dresser, which was on the claim. They were offering me $60 to replace her dresser or if I take the dresser off the claim, they would offer me an 85" Hisense TV (budget brand). They said this is the best offer they can give me, and offered me $800 via check. When asked again how they consider this making up for a terrible experience of having multiple items broken as well as a wall in my brand new home, they said they are only obligated to replace $0.60 per pound, as required by state law. I wanted the company that I have used three times now to take care of me in the way that is only right. They offer up to $2,000.00 in the claim, but they will nickel and dime you like any insurance policy does when you submit a claim (Shoutout Stephanie in the claims department!). I ended up paying way more to replace my TV than what they sent me via check in the mail. Einstein did call me and offer me $300 off what I paid for my move that day, but that was not in lieu of the TV. That was because they felt that my move could have been done in less than 6 hours. Ultimately, if you are looking for a great moving service, I'd look at any other moving company. If you have expensive TV's or items you do not want damaged, I would strongly suggest you don't have Einstein's move it for you. Einstein had the choice to do what's right for their customer or do what's right for their pockets, and like any bad business, they chose themselves. We were moving a 2 bedroom apartment to a house, roughly 20 miles apart. We were quoted a cost of $1500-2000, the final charge ended up being $3900, which is twice the originally quoted amount. The movers, Graham and Daniel, were great. They were very helpful and always in a good mood. They had a good rhythm so that time wasn't wasted. They wrapped everything up efficiently. I liked their work and tipped them well. This really is the only moving companies you should go with. The basic insurance for movers in the state of Texas is .60 per pound. So, if something should happen, like your front loading washer is damaged, at 264 lbs, you could only be reimbursed for $158.40 - not enough to repair or replace. Einstein has insurance up to $2K. I did have an issue. They did everything within two days to take care of the situation fully. I am beyond happy with the outcome. I would definitely hire them again. read more

By far the worst experience moving I've ever had. I definitely will not be using Einstein again. From start to finish, I did NOT feel like I was in good hands. On 12/5 I moved from a 600 sq ft one bedroom into a 550 sq ft studio, just two blocks away. What should have taken 2-3 hours took my two movers 6 hours (not including the hour they took for their lunch break). They got there at 8:30am and left at 3:30pm. Both my apartments had easy access, massive working elevators, and large reserved loading docks. I have a queen bed, one regular-sized couch, a light tv console, a very small dresser, and a normal amount of boxes for a studio apartment. My past 4 moves with this same amount of belongings took my mom and I no more than 3.5 hours total (including driving distance, which was more than 2 blocks). I decided to hire movers this time so I could focus on my work. It ended up being WAY more stressful. The movers also forgot one of my boxes in the back of their truck after leaving, had to turn around, and called asking me to come pick the box up at the loading dock (they didn't offer to carry it up to my apartment). I'm shocked that Einstein doesn't require their movers to do a thorough sweep of the truck before taking off! I heard A TON of crashing sounds in the hallways throughout the move, followed by them saying "uh oh" or "sh*t". The movers were super careless and spent a lot of time laughing and joking around inside the apartment. I kept hearing them say to each other "I thought you were going to move that one". I even heard them joking about how they had "banged up" the moving truck in the past. At one point, I watched them accidentally ram my bed frame into someone's door in the hallway because one of the movers was distracted by his phone. They ignored the damage to the door and moved on. Luckily only two of my boxes were damaged by them in the end, which was honestly a relief. I ended up asking my movers to leave some things behind at the first apartment because they were moving so slow. The past couple days I've been on a time crunch to move the last of my stuff on my own, despite how much money I paid Einstein to do it for me. read more

So disappointed! I had my move on 5/13. It took the movers over 6 hrs to move a two bedroom apartment that is on the 3rd floor. I observed the movers going at a slow pace like they were running up the clock. It should not have taken that extra time. I made a comment about speeding up and miraculously they did. I feel I was taken advantage of because of my gender. I will never use this company again. My first experience of moving into the same apartment took about 3 hrs. Update** true customer service at its finest. I appreciated receiving a call about the service received. I was heard and assisted properly. I was refined the extra hour.
