There have been multiple instances where while bringing in groceries for her while I vist, where he has verbally yelled and harrassed me including making threats because she is unable to bring the garbage can up a steep hill and to the end up the driveway. Most weeks when I dont have time to run over to her house, she gets the garbage can a few feet away from the sidewalk. I understand this isnt ideal but this man is more than capable to move the can an extra five feet to his truck. As luck would have it, the transmission on my Chevy Silverado gave out a mere two houses away from my In-Laws. I immediately called AAA to arrange a tow back to NJ to my dealership to have the truck diagnosed & serviced. AAA referred me to Cars & Carts and we had a conversation about the tow. Since it was Thanksgiving, I felt terribly about asking someone to come out & tow my truck, so I arranged with the owner (or boss) of Cars & Carts to have the tow done the next morning between 8 & 9am. The gentleman's name was Dan and I thanked him for his assistance! Here is where the entire experience went side-ways. At 9am, there was no word from Cars & Carts, so I phoned them and spoke to someone named Jay, I believe. Jay told me they had a tow that went late, as the person didn't show up for 45 minutes. I asked why that would have affected my tow, since I was first in line from the night before. Jay's explanation was a lot of gibberish and he assured me they'd be to me by 10am, "at the latest"! Well, 10am came and went, with no word from Jay, Dan or anyone at Cars & Carts. I called again at about 10:15am to inquire on when the driver would arrive to me and was told that they had an "emergency call" that they had to take, as it was a priority over my tow. When I asked why they would take a call instead of saying they had no truck available, I was again met with gibberish and a none too coherent excuse. So, here I am now waiting for 3 plus hours for a tow, all the while stalling my In-Laws departure from their home, as they were to leave for an 11 hour drive south. Finally, I decided I had to leave so my In-Laws could as well. My last correspondence with Cars & Carts ended with a new person, Daniel, telling me that Dan would call me very shortly to arrange the tow and that I could leave the keys with my truck and they would pick it up soon. I then left to drive home to NJ, having borrowed one of my In-Laws vehicles. At 1:30pm, after hearing nothing from Cars & carts regarding my truck, I called AAA again and made arrangements for another Tow company to get my truck. RDM Towing & Recovery arrived within 30 minutes, got my truck and called me with an ETA to my dealership in South Jersey. At 5pm, Jesse from RDM called me and sent a text of the invoice, after having dropped my truck at the dealership. In closing, I guess it was a good day after all, as I found a terrible company that I can warn everyone about (Cars & Carts) and an incredible company that I can share with everyone (RDM Towing & Recovery)!
