Our Doodle was judged before even being looked at, in June. They had him as a biter and a dog that urinates when stressed. This note was taken when he was just a little over 8 weeks old as a puppy. He wasn't even potty trained yet. Doodle is now over a year old, and does have anxiety. The technician, who I won't name out of the respect she should have given us, even had an issue when we asked for records to send to our insurance. The doctor was wonderful, and saw that after our guy became acclimated, mentioned how good of a dog he was. Then the Tech came in, alone for payment and schooled us on how getting his medical records would be difficult because "of the checks and balances that need to occur". I wish Arnold would vet their Techs better. I refuse to bring my guy back here if she will be the assisting Tech. read more

Just found out that tuna takes all the nutrients out of a cats body and I was told by Dr stauder to let my cat eat as much tuna as he wants if that's the only thing he is eating , come to find out that tuna in cats gives them mercury poisoning and dries out their kidneys, also he had tapeworms bad which was left untreated, to this date I had to put my cat down yesterday , any doctor that cares for animals should know this, I used them for years since 2004 with my dog and other cat, the cat I took to them to see was only four,I will never use them again read more

Went to this facility after my dog started seizing one morning. The doctor was very informative and nice through the process--my dogs illness had gotten worse and we ultimately had to put her down. What I was upset the MOST being there was when we were grieving and spending our last moments with our dog, a staff member asked for payment methods before even putting my dog down. That seemed a little messed up to me but even more F***** up when she came in and was like yeah this card was declined. I've been to hospitals that send the bill to your house and make sure you don't focus on a freaking payment before losing a family member. She seemed very cold and insensitive and the timing was just inappropriate. Would not recommend this place. read more

This place is amazing! I called them late around 7pm And they were able to see my old man. When I got home my old man wouldn't jump or walk very well. I knew something was wrong and wanted to get him somewhere fast! The staff was amazing and put me at ease. Turned out the poor old guy pulled a muscle or had a pinched nerve. Either way they set him up with medication that helped him immediately. And also medication to take at home. I told them the amount of money I had to spend and they kept it UNDER the amount I told them! This place is awesome!! Thank you to the whole staff at Arnold animal hospital! I've had a good experience here where they treated my ill pet well and helped assure me she was going to be fine. However, in the last six to eight months or so it is nearly impossible to schedule a routine appointment with less than a 1-2 month wait. In fact, the receptionist flatly told me there was no where else scheduling sooner. She was mistaken. My dog has a vaccination appointment in two days elsewhere. I would prefer to take my pet to a full service vet but since they can't get seem to manage their clinic so as to serve their patients, I'll take her where she can be seen. Hope they work out their staffing issue as they are likely a decent veterinary clinic. read more

When we brought our animal in for their first visit they skipped the blood test, "we are too busy to do a full check". This would have helped identify our cats liver issues. 6 months later our cat is dying of liver failure and they refuse to help us soon and even push our appointment back because they were too busy. We used to bring all of our animals there. We will see them no longer as they are too busy to do their job correctly. read more

There are many things I love about Arnold Animal Hospital but one think I like especially and that is their explanation of costs versus benefits for any procedure they do. We have three dogs and if not for Arnold MO ordinance (thank you Arnold!) my wife would have fifty. As you can imagine vet bills can rack up. When we have had to have procedures performed a payment plan has been offered. We are fortunate that so far we have not had to take them up on that offer. We had one dog who developed a hematoma on her ear. They surgically repaired it and explained that the ear if left to heal on it's own would shrivel up and look very odd so they literally stitched a piece of plastic to hold it flat as it healed. Today aside from a few dots on the inside of the ear you cannot tell anything was done. read more

I started using this business when I adopted two kittens about 7 years ago, and they've treated me (and more importantly, my cats) well every time I've gone there. Very caring knowledgeable staff. reasonable prices. Our chihuahua had bit the end of his own tail off. Another vet office( vet #1) gave stitches and meds, but it healed badly and still hurt him a lot, so we took dog to another vet office(vet #2) to see about having tail docked(so it would be a clean cut, not for ascetics) and neutering . Vet #2 barley looked at tail and gave us a high pressure sales pitch and a quote that seemed really high. Then we tried this place. Huge difference in all aspects. The vet (now our 3rd for this issue) was willing to take the time to listen to the situation and talk about it with us. He did the docking and neutering for $100 less than vet #2 quoted. our dog healed fast. The techs that removed his stitches were so gentle and handled the scared snarling dog like true caring professionals. Few months later we had a cat who got very ill fast and needed to be put to sleep. She was in bad shape and could not be saved. We had our dog spayed at the Humane Society, and she began to have complications. After the Humane Society told us that even though she was sick to her stomach, and stitches were oozing they didn't need to see her! We insisted and they still couldn't get her in for a few days. We called Arnold Animal Hospital, not only did they fit her in a few hours later, they were so kind and friendly! Gave us several home remedies to help her, which kept the cost for the visit down, suggestions on how to help her not be so itchy all the time, AND the Dr. called later in the evening to check on her and see how she is doing. Needless to say, we will be taking our pups to Arnold Animal Hospital from now on! read more

I have been taking my chihuahua there for the past 9 weeks with a broken leg. We have seen both Dr. Reinarman and Dr. Feldkamp... both of which have been very helpful. All of the staff has been wonderful. I tend to be very picky about who I take my babies to and AAH is one of the best. Only thing that can be a bit frustrating is that the practice is extremely busy. The wait isn't normally a problem as they have numerous exam rooms and doctors in the practice but the waiting area can quickly get uncomfortable during the busier times. My chihuahua has severe anxiety so this can be a problem with her sometimes. But everyone at the practice is amazing and I cannot thank them enough for all the help they have given to my Angel and me. :) read more

Absolutly not a place I will ever go back to. Staff played at being friendly, but is more about the money, not about keeping your dog healthy. Took a female there for routine blood work and they wanted to tack on extra charges even though they found nothing. Took my dog to another vet after I noticed black on her belly. Turns out she has staph infection due to unsanitary units. Got her back on a good health track. But ill never bring my dog to these people. BEWARE!!! OF THIS PLACE! read more

I started taking my dogs here when we moved into the area. The staff was friendly and courteous. The pricing can be a little high but they really seem to enjoy taking care of the animals. My only gripe is we have three pit bulls. One was a rescue dog whose ears are not cropped. One is a dog we "inherited" who has cropped ears and my boyfriend chose to have his puppies ears cropped. The doctor and assistants on several visits have made negative comments about cropping the ears on the dogs. I personally do not like the cropped ears because i feel i am automatically judged by the appearance of my dogs when taking them out in public and i kind of like the floppy ears over cropped anyway. Several breeds crop ears and dock tails per breed standards registered with the AKC and UKC but for some reason pit bulls get the worst rap of them all. I felt that when they voiced their opinions they were insulting our choice as dog owners with opinions that should have been kept to themselves and to even go a step further, i personally did not make the choice to crop either of the dogs ears that i am owner of yet i had to listen to how they thought it was terrible to have the ears cropped. to me it would be the equivalent of me telling the doctor i didn't like his face even though he didn't choose to have the face he does. My dogs are all well taken care of and in my opinion that is all they should be worrying about. read more
