I would start with Customer service, correct clinical information, FULL financial disclosure and last but not least bedside manner.

Some of the most ignorant people I have talked on the phone to. The vet was upset because I took my dogs to them back in 2019 and never came back. My current vet passed away and I was trying to schedule an appointment here. My dog has been going here for about 4 years now. The staff is amazing! They spend time on the phone with you despite always being super busy and they genuinely care for you and your pets. Sadly, my dog is in her final weeks of life on this Earth and Dr. Cole and the girls in the office (especially Kim) have been so incredibly kind and empathetic. It's my first time having to make this difficult decision on my own and they have been so patient with me and my sometimes excessive phone calls. I can't even imagine getting another pet anytime soon as my heart is breaking but if/when I do, this will definitely be their vets office. read more

Love this place! We have been going there for 8 years, ever since my puppy was 9 weeks old. She has had several health issues and Dr St John and Dr Cole have helped us through each incident with care/concern and professionalism. They staff are helpful and responsive. Giving this clinic two stars simply because I did adopt my kitten from them, but the service here is not what I expected. It's always busy, and the staff is friendly enough - if a bit impersonal - but time and time again my requests were completely mishandled. The biggest error was when I took my cat in to be spayed and specifically asked that they not put a microchip in her because I didn't have the money to pay for one at the time. Six months later I went to my old vet in Columbia, Illinois, largely because of the far more reasonable prices, and asked them to put a microchip in my cat. After the procedure they scanned the kitty to make sure the microchip was working and found a second microchip signature - the Tesson Ferry Clinic had inserted a chip against my express wishes and didn't even bother to tell me. TL;DR These folks are too expensive, and they don't listen! read more

Dr. Bojarab has been my vet since 1990. Best vet ever. Great service. Always takes great care of our fur babies. Dr. St. John is also excellent. When our beagle Elton had knee surgery at Mizzou, Dr. St. John did all of our followups and was great during the recovery and rehabilitation. They are also very caring when it comes down to saying good bye to a pet. Every one there is top notch. read more

Everyone is so thoughtful here. And even if my vet is not here there is always someone to take care of my babies. They really care about the animals and take time to make sure you understand what is going on with your pet and even helped with crating and training tips for my new puppy and future support dog. read more

The staff here is wonderful! Dr. Cole has taken care of my dogs since they were pups. Every time we add a new guy to the pack, this is the first place I call. Always able to work an appointment in quickly, always on time, and always trying to save me money one way or the other. You pay a little more for an office visit here, but it pays off with the knowledge and professionalism they have. Wouldn't even dream of taking my fuzzy babies any where else. read more

We just started taking our dog here and couldn't be happier. Our first experience here was getting our dog spayed, and they took great care of her. Their prices are better than where we used to go, and the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. The atmosphere is also relatively low-key (as opposed to a larger office with more animals/noise). These guys are GREAT! They have taken care of our dogs since we moved back here. Our dogs were older and when it was they're time, TFAH took care of everything (they even sent a condolence card to us!) They made everything as easy as possible. Took my dog there several times. No one there acts like they even like dogs, office staff nor the Vets. Very odd demeanor. Left messages for the Vet to call me twice, about serious health concerns of my dog. Never called me back. Then when he did, he got an ignorant attitude. What the heck ? I paid good money to get crappy care. The second time I called Dr. St. John, he called me back 17 days later. Ending up taking my sick dog to the emergency room. This is the most arrogant Vet practice in St. Louis. Terrible attitudes. They should be working in a factory, not with animals. read more

We started seeing Dr. Cole about 2 years ago. She and everyone at the clinic have gone above and beyond to help us take care of our dogs, especially as they've reached their senior years. Everyone is very kind and knowledgeable. They are also less expensive than our prior vet which is always a plus. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a vet. read more

Wow! Very impressed with the staff here. They were able to squeeze me in last minute shots for boarding the same day. Extremely helpful and Beau did the best he has ever done in a Vet clinic(since he is dog aggressive). Prompt and succinct. Heather and Dr. Cole were absolutely incredible. While I have always received excellent service from the hospital for over ten years, I am taking my business elsewhere. I just received unacceptable customer service from one of the desk staff. She kept escalating the difference we were discussing, she talked faster and faster and wouldn't let me speak. And said that she was putting a notation in my file to only take cash from me in the future. I hadn't even come in for a visit, I didn't owe them any money. I was just calling to ask a question. I've always had a good account with them for the ten years. I don't understand why she couldn't forward my request to the vet, like I had asked. I wasn't being abusive, no was my voice raised. After she told me that she was putting this note in my file, she told me to take my business to PetSmart! And hung up on me!! read more

The doctors are great and prices are fair. Would get a 5 but my last visit the technician read a 3 as an 8 on the scale and got a bit snippy with me about my dogs eating habits. read more

We had been somewhat happy with this place until our dog had an adverse reaction to some flea medicine and then took him in to get his updated shots and some antibiotics due to the sore from the flea meds. So as the poor pooch was trying to heal the antibiotic ran out (They where not helping), and needed some additional antibiotics or something because what Dr. Cole had given us earlier was not working. Well I wanted to make sure that what they gave me this time around was correct, I just wanted a clarification, 30 seconds, did not want to make our dog sicker or have a reaction or that the meds prescribed over the phone where the wrong ones and wanted the correct ones that should work or a second round? Any loving pet owner would do this. So for a 30 second clarification to make sure that what they prescribed for this aliment for THE MEDICIEN THEY PERSCRIBED OVER THE PHONE trying to bilk us for $40.00 exam visit!! Now what would have happened if they give him the wrong meds? So irresponsible and casual about the affair. And, every time I bring our cat in or our dog and there is an issue Dr. Cole is like "It could be cancer"! Everything is cancer to them and need more test.. UGH... She said my cat had hypercalcemia but his calcium level were in normal range per other vets and information, (we have learned to cross check) they like scare tactics always kept pushing for more and more test. Now I/we have had pets our whole lives, ya learn things, had a cat for 19 years, hyperthyroid, meds twice a day, we love our pets, so ya get clarification to make sure what THEY are giving is correct, vets have been wrong and we have seen the outcome so excuse us for making sure DURING the time I was picking up the meds.. ha If they like to play with your pets life's and try to charge you for their own lack of courtesy well, we are taking our pets elsewhere. Dr. Bojarab said, "well I was trying to leave and you made me stay"!!! WOW, so sorry for a 30 second clarification on MEDICATION that I WAS JUST prescribed by Dr. Cole to make sure They were giving our dog the right stuff! Such concern. Dr. Bojarab did say "I could call and complain to the flea med company and they usually will reimburse all cost and if I filed a complaint for "adverse reaction" I would get all my monies back for the flea meds my vet visit and he would still get paid"!! WHAT?!?! Sounds like a shake down,, lol We have been going here for about three yrs.. Taking our pets elsewhere and we are tiered of everything being cancer cancer cancer..... So they can lose out of any vet visits from us so, hope they like losing years of future vet visits and services over a 30 second clarification! Loving pet(s) owners. read more

This place is wonderful! I hav taken every pet and rescue I've had since 1990 to them & my mother has gone even longer. They hav donated help to me for random rescues, cried w me when it was time to euthanize and loved w me when new puppies or kittens were born. Dr Bojrab is a genius w anesthesia, truly gifted. My dogs hav a face similar to pugs (smashed in), so "going under" is particularly tricky. They hav given several pets of mine a new lease on life. They allow endless questions until I'm comfy. The staff go above and beyond to accommodate clients. I hav three cats from their rescue program and the treat my therapy dogs as well. I truly love this place and hav trusted each dr and staff member w my fur family and hav NEVER been let down. If u r a new pet owner they can teach u, if ur an old school pet owner u will wish u has been going here the whole time. There dedication and devotion to their clients and rescues are beyond reproach. read more
