But after a couple of trips with a friend there who asked, 'why do you go back when they treat you like that? I realized it's never been a comfortable experience to shop there. I am not the picture of a customer I see them treat with esteem and care--I like clothes and fashion in general but seem to always end up being half my Florida beach roots in the end and am not polished or 'on point' in my look. My friend pointed out how women who were that look were treated compared to me. Twice. She was right and I had always felt that way there but I thought that wasn't really my problem and who cares? But it stuck in my craw and after a recent very poor experience with a sales person who I typically enjoy, I quit going. Maybe she had a bad day but it felt ugly. I decided to quit going because of the customer service and my own personal shift to buying fashion that is more sustainable and ethical.

He was making it seem like we were going to steal something. I stood next to the keychains for about five minutes, and when I walked away, he went over there and counted every single keychain trying to make it seem like I pocketed one. My boyfriend and his friend are loggers and maybe they looked a little dirty while we were in his shop, but they make great money and they were ready to shop and now we will never be back and neither will my parents.

I bought some sock needles and some skeins of sock yarn, priced as expected $$$ although there are yarns of all price points. I don't have a LYS in my city so I'm looking forward to returning.
