We arrived 40 minutes early & were shocked to see cars already lined up on both sides of the street, waiting to get in. At $8 for adults & $3 for children (4 & under free), it was more affordable than going to a regular theater where you'd only get to watch one movie. Their radio station played oldies until time for the movie, so it felt like we were in the heyday of drive in theaters. I liked that they had a cartoon short before the double feature, & that there was a countdown before both movies so I knew how long I had to get through the concession stand. Having actual food there is a big bonus! Nothing beats dinner & a movie, especially when you can get it all in one place. The butter machine for the popcorn is on the customer side, so you can get as much as you want. We got drinks, candy, popcorn, a pizza & an order of cheese sticks. The prices were reasonable & it was all good--fast & fresh. The screen was crisp, clear, big & bright--good quality & enjoyable to watch. In my opinion, an employee parking people, or at least driving through before the movie starts, would make the experience even better. Most of the customers were taking an extra spot for their chairs, which is against the rules & resulted in a lot of people having to park adjacent to the screen or far away, & there were some tall trucks toward the front that blocked the bottom of the screen. We asked for the manager and she could have cared less. It's unbelievable. Why offer them if none of them work. She was not even slightly compassionate. If you have a hearing impairment, you are not welcome here. Save yourself the frustration. Go somewhere else. We have had great experiences at Fort Henry Mall at the NCG.

This time we spent over $100 on tickets and concessions for 2 adults and 2 kids, and they are OUT OF FREAKING ICE!!!!!!! Manager couldn't care less. Once we got into the actual theater, it was doing the same thing it did last time the screen wouldn't work. You can hear the ads and commercials, but nothing is on the screen. My husband went out and told the manager (which was also the manger that had to issue our rain checks last time) that the screen wasn't working, and she snapped at him and said "it will be fixed by the time the movie is on." My husband said "okay well last time we were here, it wasn't fixed, and we spent 2 hours here for nothing." she said "oh well I don't remember that." Manager has been the absolute rudest human on the planet both times we have had encounters with her. I'm also attaching some videos of the absolute disgusting area around the drinks and walking to the theater. Workers just standing behind the counter that could have easily went out and cleaned up a little. We will be taking our business to NCG theaters in Kingsport from now on. For some reason they have a problem with men carrying bags... It was discrimination.

There isn't much of a choice here (which I guess is why they get away with their ridiculous policy). As I walked into the door, I had my purse on my arm and the first thing that was said to me was NOT welcome to the theater, thank you for coming, it was "you cannot bring your purse in here". I was confused and didn't understand and he said it again, you can't bring your purse in here if it's bigger than a piece of paper 8.5"X11"!! I still didn't understand as I have never heard of such a thing and asked to speak to the manager. She comes up and rudely says that it's policy for the safety of our patrons. I was flabbergasted. IF someone was hell bent on doing something bad, are they going to carry it in their purse?!? My daughters truck did not lock so I said I'm not leaving in the car so they said I had to put it in the office or leave. TRUST THIS, if I wouldn't have had two very upset grandkids, I would have left that very second and not spent a single penny in this place. I then told her she could search my purse - she then RUDELY says "it's not my responsibility to search your purse" you have to leave it in the office - so I had to leave my purse in the office (not locked in a cabinet or anything, just sitting on a desk. WOW I said I certainly hope nobody bothers my purse and she said they won't and I said well they better not when another lady pipes in and yells SERIOUSLY?!?!? To which I replied SERIOUSLY!! You seem to have a captive audience because I understand there isn't much in the way of a choice in movie theaters in this area. If there were a choice, I guarantee you would change that policy very quickly. I think we all know that this policy to "protect" the customer is just a lame, veiled attempt to stop your customers from bringing in snacks and not have to buy your overpriced garbage.
