We arrived 40 minutes early & were shocked to see cars already lined up on both sides of the street, waiting to get in. At $8 for adults & $3 for children (4 & under free), it was more affordable than going to a regular theater where you'd only get to watch one movie. Their radio station played oldies until time for the movie, so it felt like we were in the heyday of drive in theaters. I liked that they had a cartoon short before the double feature, & that there was a countdown before both movies so I knew how long I had to get through the concession stand. Having actual food there is a big bonus! Nothing beats dinner & a movie, especially when you can get it all in one place. The butter machine for the popcorn is on the customer side, so you can get as much as you want. We got drinks, candy, popcorn, a pizza & an order of cheese sticks. The prices were reasonable & it was all good--fast & fresh. The screen was crisp, clear, big & bright--good quality & enjoyable to watch. In my opinion, an employee parking people, or at least driving through before the movie starts, would make the experience even better. Most of the customers were taking an extra spot for their chairs, which is against the rules & resulted in a lot of people having to park adjacent to the screen or far away, & there were some tall trucks toward the front that blocked the bottom of the screen. Despite that, it was a great experience & we can't wait to go back!

I liked the set up of the place...kinda took me back to the smaller theatres growing up (it only has 4 screens). The one staff member I had a transaction w/ was really nice. Ticket price for the 7pm showing on a Tuesday was only $5...which was also nice. My only gripe is the sizes of their concessions. The larges of both the soda & the popcorn were closer to a medium at other theatres I frequent. Kinda made me wish I had purchased the refillable bucket...even though I'm not sure I'd ever be able to use it again.

The theater is always clean and their concession stand is a lot more extensive compared to other theaters. They have Cheeto popcorn that I've been wanting to try. The only thing I'm being picky about is the signs at the theater doors don't tell you what movie you are seeing. We almost walked into a random theater thinking it's our movie but it wasn't. Besides that small detail, Regal is great and we will probably be coming back whenever we are in Lexington

Also, Tuesdays are Cinemark Discount Tuesdays, which is nice if you want to watch a film in 3D or D-BOX at a cheaper rate, but they fill up quicker than other days. First, the Kiosk was out of paper, and the display screen said to go to the window wth a cashier. So, we selected our seats and paid. Upon entering the lobby, we smelled the popcorn and saw all the food options, and I asked for the Cinemark Caption device that fits into the cup holder. The theater didn't have anyone checking tickets, so we grabbed our 3D glasses and looked for the right showtime. Next, the captioning device was set to the wrong theater number for Spider-Man, so I missed the four or five trailers for upcoming movies. The theater was clean, and we liked that it had a wall separating the rows, which is awesome because there is always some inconsiderate person who can't stay off their phone and annoys everyone with a bright, glowing light as they text or play games. In closing, I wish Cinemark would offer open captions because lots of people like them, even those without hearing loss, because they help them make sense of what's happening especially with low talkers. It's another way of telling the story, and lots of people like it even if they don't need it as an access requirement.

Old movies, new runs, gorgeous space, fabulous service, a good bar, and the best popcorn in town. Now being run as a non-profit, I can't think of a better place to spend an afternoon or evening. Too often we are losing these types of theaters to big box, multi-plexes with no charm and no vibe. The seats might be cushier but the experience is lacking. The Kentucky has style and Lexington is lucky to have it.
