I think the scary movie made a lot of people uncomfortable and they were trying to laugh and cackle at some of the scenes, so they wouldn't feel so scared, but that was really hindering the experience as they were being so loud. Stopped asked about it's contents, then later while he was away from me he was asked to remove the bag back to the car. Old movies, new runs, gorgeous space, fabulous service, a good bar, and the best popcorn in town. Now being run as a non-profit, I can't think of a better place to spend an afternoon or evening. Too often we are losing these types of theaters to big box, multi-plexes with no charm and no vibe. The seats might be cushier but the experience is lacking. The Kentucky has style and Lexington is lucky to have it.

This was a promotional event by Legion M, which is the world's first fan owned entertainment company.The feature was the documentary, directed by Alexandre O. Philippe will give fans a glimpse into the legendary actor's life and career in the entertainment industry. The event will also featured a live hour-long Q&A session with Shatner. Shatner was humorour, insightful and compassionate in this wonderful tributate to the man. He is a inspiratation, demostrating a unquie zest for life grounded in his personal philosphy of "living in the now." The event was emceed by Doug and Lyssa High by ABC 36 News. Kentucky Theater is always our first choice for seeing movies in Lexington. The seats are not ultra plush and reclining, but they are comfortable. The overall theater experience is great. The staff is always so accomdating and willing to help resolve any issues. A true tresure, that is a prime event venue.

I liked the set up of the place...kinda took me back to the smaller theatres growing up (it only has 4 screens). The one staff member I had a transaction w/ was really nice. Ticket price for the 7pm showing on a Tuesday was only $5...which was also nice. My only gripe is the sizes of their concessions. The larges of both the soda & the popcorn were closer to a medium at other theatres I frequent. Kinda made me wish I had purchased the refillable bucket...even though I'm not sure I'd ever be able to use it again.
