Also, Tuesdays are Cinemark Discount Tuesdays, which is nice if you want to watch a film in 3D or D-BOX at a cheaper rate, but they fill up quicker than other days. First, the Kiosk was out of paper, and the display screen said to go to the window wth a cashier. So, we selected our seats and paid. Upon entering the lobby, we smelled the popcorn and saw all the food options, and I asked for the Cinemark Caption device that fits into the cup holder. The theater didn't have anyone checking tickets, so we grabbed our 3D glasses and looked for the right showtime. Next, the captioning device was set to the wrong theater number for Spider-Man, so I missed the four or five trailers for upcoming movies. The theater was clean, and we liked that it had a wall separating the rows, which is awesome because there is always some inconsiderate person who can't stay off their phone and annoys everyone with a bright, glowing light as they text or play games. In closing, I wish Cinemark would offer open captions because lots of people like them, even those without hearing loss, because they help them make sense of what's happening especially with low talkers. It's another way of telling the story, and lots of people like it even if they don't need it as an access requirement.

I think the scary movie made a lot of people uncomfortable and they were trying to laugh and cackle at some of the scenes, so they wouldn't feel so scared, but that was really hindering the experience as they were being so loud. The theater is always clean and their concession stand is a lot more extensive compared to other theaters. They have Cheeto popcorn that I've been wanting to try. The only thing I'm being picky about is the signs at the theater doors don't tell you what movie you are seeing. We almost walked into a random theater thinking it's our movie but it wasn't. Besides that small detail, Regal is great and we will probably be coming back whenever we are in Lexington

My husband and I hadn't been to the movies in quite some time. Maybe even a year. Anyway. It was our anniversary and we wanted to do something easy. Dinner and a movie. Top Gun was the movie pick. Our original plan was to go to our regular hangout, Brannon Crossing, but we decided to give the Lex Live theater a try. I cannot even tell you how absolutely amazing it was! We had never been there and we were so shocked at how fantastic it was. Seeing Top Gun back in 1986 was awesome but uh--todays was insane. The seats RUMBLED as the fighter jets took off on the screen. I cannot wait to go back and see other movies there. We doubt we'll go anywhere else from here on out. Next time we plan on eating at the restaurant, maybe grabbing a beer at the bar before going to the show. Oh! And bowling! Crazy cool. Go! Go now! You will not be disappointed! Oh--ignore those who say parking is difficult. Please. It was a piece of cake. Get your ticket validated on the way out and you're good to go. Enjoy!

The movie house is located on the edge of town and to my knowledge is the only one. It has several theaters, but not a mega complex like those in the U.S.There was plenty of parking in the lot and it was clean. The tickets for Sheep Detective was purchased on a kiosk. The matinee price was similar to the states. The lobby was spotless. The service at concessions was warm and friendly. The movie house was clean and prepared for our flick. No issues with the film. My son and I enjoyed and was comfortable viewing. Definitely recommend!

Old movies, new runs, gorgeous space, fabulous service, a good bar, and the best popcorn in town. Now being run as a non-profit, I can't think of a better place to spend an afternoon or evening. Too often we are losing these types of theaters to big box, multi-plexes with no charm and no vibe. The seats might be cushier but the experience is lacking. The Kentucky has style and Lexington is lucky to have it.
