I am so lucky to have this wonderful business in my small town. Aroma has a fabulous selection of gifts and home decor, and offers beautiful floral arrangements for all of your special events. The restaurant portion of this business is wonderful, and is reminiscent of Panera Bread; everything is so delicious! Their coffee bar is amazing; the baristas will make anything you want. So at first I was a little lost when I walked in... I didn't know if I was in a Flower Shop, a Knick knack shop or ready to get fitted for a Tux, but I followed my nose and finally found the restaurant part of the building. We both had potato salad. Husband had the ham & cheese panini and I had the apple cheddar ham panini. Everything was excellent. The restaurant was clean, neat/cool atmosphere. The service was great. Everybody was really nice. This place is by far worth searching out. We drive between mn and wi a lot. This is now one of our favorite places, and will be our stop if we are eating. The breakfast menu looked great also. If your doing a road trip, there is NO need to stop at any fast foods. This food is WAY better, and doesn't take long at all. Wow, this is a great place. You wouldn't think a gift/coffee shop would have such great food. My friends and I each had a burger ( popper, Johnny Appleseed, bacon blue) , delicious. The potato salad is homemade and so good. The veggie slaw is also very good. Everything is fresh and delicious. On previous visits, I've had the strawberry chicken salad which is also very good. The shop has so many gift items. I buy something every time. Mostly for myself. If you drive through Thorpe, you must stop. read more

Driving across Wisconsin between the UP and MInneapolis looking for a place to stop for lunch. Saw the billboard for Aroma Cafe and stopped in Thorp. Great atmosphere with gift shop, florist, and counter service -- a surprisingly diverse and appealing menu. Ordered salmon Caesar salad and a turkey pesto with Gouda wrap -- and a burger for the man! Friendly service and reasonable prices for healthy food. Can't beat $10 for a salmon Caesar! They have a separate breakfast menu that looks yummy too. Will definitely be back when we cross Wisconsin next. read more

We found Aroma café on Yelp while driving across WI on highway 29. It had all 5 star reviews, which is a rare thing, so we had to check it out. Well the place did not disappoint and we are adding our 5 star review too! Aroma is a cafe, coffee shop, and gift/floral shop run by a super welcoming husband and wife duo. The menu is huge for a small town cafe (see photo attached), with lots of creative/tasty sounding options. The service is quick and friendly, and the food fresh, hot, and delicious. It didn't take long for our food to be prepared, but during the short wait we enjoyed browsing in the gift shop area. They even have a drive thru window if you are in a hurry and don't want to get out of your car. Be sure to give Aroma a try, you won't be disappointed. We will definitely be back! read more

Adorable shop with delicious, healthy options and good coffee. I had the ham and apple panini and my friend had the strawberry salad. Both were delish! Free ice cold chocolate milk to celebrate dairy month...yum! The cafe is in the back of a floral shop full of candles, jewelry, and other knickknacks. Great selection if you like that sort of thing. I came out with an adorable clutch. Definitely stop by! It's easy to find and there is plenty of parking. *Note because someone asked: this was on the way to Green Bay from the Twin Cities/Western WI area, not the other way around. We were so happy to find a great place for lunch in the middle of Wisconsin. I had the Strawberry Chicken Salad. It was great! The poppyseed dressing was a little sweet but not overly sweet. The combination of ingredients blended well. My husband had the Chicken Cordon Bleu sandwich (made with Wisconsin cheese, of course) with potato salad, both of which he enjoyed. Best place to to stop for lunch along 29! Saw the sign around lunchtime during our drive from the Twin Cities to Door County. SO glad we did! Great hearty lunch, real food, homemade with local ingredients, and yummy real fruit smoothies! The kids cleaned their plates (we all did), the salads were great, the sandwiches were delicious, the fresh-made hummus plate was the real deal (yum!), and we enjoyed the little store.
