We had good breakfast bowls and toast. The coffee was great. But when we returned for dinner we were all disappointed with our food. The vegan and non vegan food was bland and not even warm! I would not recommend this place at all for lunch or dinner. We had excellent vegan Mexican food in DF - it's possible! But even the meat dishes were a disappointment. On top of that it is expensive and they expect a tip based on the overpriced food. read more

If you are looking for something healthy, good Zen atmosphere this is a great option. We went here during our first stay in Isla and were greeted warmly right away. Went with the Veggie Pad Thai and wow heaven in your mouth, we ate it again the next day. We also tried the mushroom Banh mi with sweet potato fries, nice alternative on the Vietnamese sandwich. the Power Quinoa Bowl was excellent as well. We had a lite dinner here last night. Carla was our server who was thoughtful and patient. We ordered the hummus with Portabella mushrooms, which tasted so fresh. We then shared the tuna crusted steak. So good! That was actually plenty for us followed by desert- carrot cake. Really good. This place caters to and international crowd; Europeans, Israeli, Middle Eastern, and Americans for sure. Wish I took pictures but pics wouldn't have captured the flavors! This was the most honest place! When I left $70 American and my room key on the table, clearly not a tip because I tipped well on the credit card tab, our server had it and when she saw that we returned she immediately handed us the whole thing and refused to take a tip. We are vegetarian so this looked appealing as there are many options. But we should have kept walking. Four stars for the kind server and nice street side seating. Food gets a 1 or 2. This is the kind of place to come for a salad and smoothie - something that doesn't involve a chef. Don't eat hot dishes here. Falafel was miserable. Samosas were still cold on the inside (fried from frozen?) Mexican food is flavorless. Though they will give a tasty habanero sauce if you ask. I'm not a vegetarian or anything like that but do like quality ingredients. First I highly recommend their juices they are light and very refreshing way to start. I had both with breakfast and dinner. We had the "healthy" omelet and burrito for breakfast and both came with small potatoes which were yummy. Good coffee always helps too. So we had to go back for dinner sat inside because it was bad weather but we had Axel as our server and he was wonderful, very genuine and made us feel at home. I ordered what he recommend, a mole with cantaloupe and my mom got the veggie burger. Again it seemed less touristy and more local even when it was filled with tourist. I'm sure we are going again before we leave the island and you should too! read more

I had the Chicken Pad Thai and we all agreed it was the best thing we ordered. One of the best pad thais I've had, and I live in Cali! The staff was very friendly. My wife was very anxious to eat here so we went for dinner. We sat down outside in a small table for two. The place was not busy but also not empty. Three waitresses clearly saw us waiting.. and we were NEVER served. Not even offered the menu. Another couple sat next to us, and no one approached them either. The waitress was waiting on other table outside like 10 ft from us. We spend there 10-15 minutes and no one came. We left, so did the other couple. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I've ever had. What really made the restaurant, however, was not the delicious, healthy food--it was the PHENOMENAL service. Our waiter, Jose, was friendly, kind, and conversational. He helped us practice our Spanish, took our picture, and told us a bit about his life and (impressive!!) love for learning languages. Menu is so so. It reads better than it tastes. Juices are delicious, although they are not technically straight up juices. More like they used their vitamix and them watered down the juice some. But, still best food/drink on the menu. They advertise vegan options and vegetarian, but it's hard to find something gluten free and vegan, and staff will NOT modify a menu option to meet your needs. Tuna steak is made for two, so prepare to share or take home left overs. Very good. Guacamole is also good, but portion is too large even for two people. This Appetizer is truly made for 4, so prepare to share. Avocado sushi is made up only of carbohydrates. Avocado is meager in the dish. It is also served without wasabi or ginger, and I'm pretty sure they did used sushi rice. Vegan brownie is more like out of the box chocolate Not great . Tika Masala Fish was mostly fried fish skin. Very fatty. The veggies however were good. They were grilled. Very yummy. Quinoa bowl was my best option. Service is good, but not worth coming back to.
