I've been seeing Joy for massages since 2013 and she's honestly the best masseuse I've ever had…read more She's extremely knowledgeable, is well certified in her career, and constantly excels to educate her on the latest and greatest massage techniques. During our sessions, she works hard on my tight knots and knows exactly my problem areas to focus on. Being a person who had pretty severe lower back pain from school/work, she nursed me back to health and gave me tips on how to stretch and work on my back at home. I ended up getting a foam roller too, and she gave me great tips to stretch on it. Making appointments: Just go online and check her calendar to find a time that works best with your schedule. You enter your email address and your number, and her system will automatically send you email reminders. Facilities: 3rd floor of an office building - there's a little water river/stream in the middle of the building, behind it there's an elevator. Take the elevator to the 3rd floor and make a right. Her room (suite 321) is right next to a CPA office. During your massage, she'll play soothing music and recommend various lotions for aromatherapy. I particularly like chamomile and mint scented ones, it makes it particularly relaxing. Massage: THE BEST, EVER. Period. I've seen a great deal of masseuses in my lifetime. I used to be part of Massage Envy and I would cycle between different people each time I went to the point where I had a track record for never having a set person. That all changed when I met Joy, she's the only person I trust for a massage. I deeply miss her now that I'm in Seattle, I don't know where I can find as good as a massage ever again. I do frequently come back to San Diego to visit, and whenever I do, I always book an appointment with her again! Overall: LOVE HER, she's the best, hands down. I normally get firm, Thai or deep tissue massage, but it's nice to have a therapeutic once in a while. The on set of my anxiety was when I truly started to grieve the loss of my mom in 2007. My husband couldn't finger point where his started . We've both been on numerous anti- anxiety/ depressants . I've had the occurrence of suicidal thoughts etc, on these medications. My husbands Dr. Recently put him on Wellbutrin. It made him mean and angry, I could see the anger in his face. A side of effect of this medication : FITS OF RAGE!!! We were recently married in July and took our honeymoon in Sept. With our family to our time share in Cabo. We planned for 7 days in paradise, making memories with the people we love. Well this was cut short to my husbands severe panic attack on day 3. He could not get out of bed, he said his body was hurting all over, he was vomiting, and crying because of the pain. As his wife I felt so helpless because there was nothing I could do. My bestfriend was in so much pain and all I could do was hold it together for him. We got on a plane that day(Saturday) and came home. We found Cynthia on The Thumbtack app!!! We made an appt the following Thursday for hypnotherapy. The very first time my husband met with Cynthia he said he felt so much better, he felt relief. I attended their monday evening oneness blessing many years ago, and my boyfriend and his mom suggested we go (i mean it had been so long..and why!?) yesterday, but we were not sure they still had it on monday nights. We arrived at 7 pm to find Katherine (the gentle soul who does the blessings) leaving, with the parking lot empty. We were so sad until she let us know that she was heading over to the golden hills community center where they hold the blessing every other week. We raced over there just in time. The blessing consists of a short centering meditation followed by approximately 1.5 hours of the people conducting the blessings laying their hands over your head. After this you lie down and take in the blessing. It was a wonderful experience, and everyone there was so welcoming and inviting. I am not sure why I haven't been in many years. It is amazing that this is free, and that people donate their time to essentially give all their energy and healing to you for 2 straight hours. I am so happy that this place exsists. I hear they have a lovely gift shop with many amazing crystal specimens and yoga also. I have been looking for a place to do yoga, and this may be the place!

It's mind boggling how she knows that your foot, arm, head, etc. needs to move just one to two inches to get the most out of each pose. Her precision to breathing benefits us all, long after we've left her studio. Her meditative voice is intoxicating. It's as if any worries of the day are not allowed into this sacred place. Catherine's hypnotic tone gently engulfs your mind and you willingly surrender to a welcoming calm. I have searched for several years for the "perfect" yoga class, one that is peaceful, serene, loving and still offers deep poses and gentle stretches. I am so grateful I found Heart and Soul, a small intimate yoga studio giving me all I've wanted and much more. I travel from Point Loma to La Mesa because I want the best and it's well worth it.

She has a great sense of humor, she's originally from the East Coast, and I absolutely loved her sassy, down-to-earth, real vibe. It felt authentic. No fluff. No pretense.....Just genuine energy and insight. I've been on a spiritual awakening journey for about nine months now. I've done "past" life regression sessions and have received messages from my higher self, spirit team, and angel guides. ALSO--If you had told me a year ago that this is where I'd be, I would have laughed in your face and walked away. And yet, here I am. The one thing I was really hoping for in this session was to connect my earthbound body to my spiritual self.
