Before booking, I specifically asked, "Is the $159 hourly rate billed in 15-minute increments after the first hour, or is it rounded up to the next full hour?" I was advised that "you pay after the 15 minutes," which led me to understand that I would be billed based on the actual time worked in 15-minute increments. In addition, some of my belongings were damaged during the move, including a chip/scuff on my adjustable standing desk and a cracked lid on a plastic storage container. I recommend confirming all billing policies, including any minimum charges, before booking.

The owner, Francis, assured me that it would be fixed or I would get the money for it, depending on what the insurance company said. I had been communicating with him a few times back and forth since November 9. He would send mini updates throughout the insurance process, saying it takes about 90 days to hear back about a claim. When he finally did text me about the item, he was asking for an address to pick up the dresser. The movers took the dresser with them after it broke. The dresser never even made it to my apartment. When I let Francis know this, he accused me of lying and saying his movers did not take the dresser! Why would I lie about having the dresser and then not getting it fixed?! What sense does that make?! I truly believe he had his movers take my dresser then discard of it because MY DRESSER WENT MISSING IN THIN AIR! He only wants to give me the loss percentage his company pays out for damaged or lost items. The percentage per pound is an absolute scam! This was my first time using a moving company and I'm so disappointed about my experience. He provided us with a nonsensical one-page agreement for the work, refusing to sign a proper document like a reputable moving company would. At this point, my patience wore thin. Upon requesting a refund, as expected, Ronald refused and even threatened to sue us--a ludicrous notion. Furthermore, communication with him was a nightmare; he appeared to be heavily intoxicated, with extremely poor speech. For context, this is the exact message I sent when requesting a quote: "Hello, I hope all is well. May I please have a quote for a move this week on the 26th? I'll be moving about a small apartment's worth of stuff. Heavy items include a bed frame/mattress, nightstands, TV stand, couch + accent chairs, and coffee table set. The rest are boxes. I'll need a truck and move everything into a drive-up storage unit about 9 miles away." Their response: "Our rate for 3 men would be $150/hr and 2 men is $120/hr. 2 hour minimum + $60 trip fee. 2 men are for small apartment moves. 3 men required for 3rd floors. Our moves are all inclusive; gas, truck, mileage, experienced movers, furniture disassembly/reassembly, wrap, tape and moving pads." I replied: "So to confirm, 2 hours with 2 movers would be $240 + the $60 trip fee? And that includes wrapping furniture and disassembly if needed?" Their response: "Correct." That confirmation is the entire reason I booked them. My expectation was a $300 total, exactly as quoted. I had been shopping around for movers and was sold on the advertised "all-inclusive" pricing. Although...if it's "all-inclusive," why is there still a separate trip fee? But whatever. I moved forward. Moving day... My move was originally scheduled for 4:30 PM. No acknowledgment that I'd just paid $90 more than the original quote. He simply walked away. He asked if I needed the gate opened. I said no. As he turned and walked away, I said, "Goodnight. Thank you. Drive safe." He ignored me, got in the truck, and drove away. This still isn't even everything that happened, but this review is already long enough. This was by far the most disappointing customer service experience I've had.
