They rushed while moving my $800 dollar desk along with the mattress, and the desk was dropped hard and now has several cracks. I did not ask them to cover my loss; I only asked to have my tip returned. They were rushing and not paying attention to my furniture, and they do not deserve a tip. However, they refused to refund it. If you have high-value furniture, think twice before hiring them. They rush to finish the job and try to move large, heavy items all at once just to get to the next job as quickly as possible. read more

I chose JG Outstanding Moving in Dallas, TX based on the many wonderful reviews they had and trusted they could get my belongings from Texas to Colorado in one piece. I wish with all my heart I was given that same stellar experience others previously raved about. Prior to the guys loading, my husband and I spent weeks labeling boxes (heavy vs fragile) and wrote down the contents of the box on the top lid. We also wrapped every piece of furniture with moving blankets and sealed the blankets in with cellophane. We work really hard to be able to afford the things we have and because of this, we take care of our belongings. After the guys left, we initially discovered a few troubling things in regard to how our truck was loaded: * Instead of being stood horizontal, our dining table was loaded upright-- table was vertical and leaning on the side of its two legs. The weight of our table relying heavily on those two bottom legs and front edge of our table. * Our modular sofa was stuffed in between our dining table's top legs, pushing the table up against boxes. * Office desk (one of two) was also stood upright. My green office chair wedge in between its cornered iron legs. I wasn't going to write in about the 3 points above. I was frustrated because I wanted my desk and dining table to be loaded horizontally (to further minimizes any damages to corners) but I was going to let this go and allow it to be a learning experience for next time. That is until our truck was delivered to Colorado and we began unloading. When in Forney, we couldn't see past the table, one of two office desks, couch, and boxes. But when we began unloading, we realized that JG Outstanding Moving didn't even have the due diligence to read the boxes we labeled nor were they respectful to someone else's livelihood. They were careless. They were negligent. * Our table's front, left edge was ground to its raw wood. * Our couch was discovered to have a few punctures onto the arm/body of it (from being loaded up against our table's legs.) * My green office chair had an indent into its velvet seat cushion (from being loaded up against my cornered office desk legs.) * In the very back corner of our truck, we discovered crushed boxes. Our lighter boxes were on the bottom of heavier boxes and their weight became too much. * Our second office desk was loaded horizontally but had several heavy boxes stacked on top of it--one being a box of cast-iron pots and pans. This was too heavy for our desk and crushed it, snapping it in two. I don't work for a moving company, but even I know that heavier boxes are to be UNDER desk/tables, etc. and they're to be to at the bottom of a stack of boxes. I am devastated at the complete loss of my second desk and the repairs to the other pieces of furniture I now have to try and salvage. If they can even be salvaged. I am disappointed and disgusted with how my belongings were handled. Please be advised that if you book with them, you may lose your belongings to negligence. And on top of all that, we had to provide our own equipment (such as a dolly) and this was an extra $32 charge on top of their services. I wish with every part of myself that I had booked with a different moving company... one that was truly outstanding--not one that claims to be. My only desired resolution is for JG Outstanding Moving to fully cooperate with the insurance claim I'll be making through U-Haul's Moving Help. read more
