This is a review of their AI bot that they are using to book appointments. It is a terrible process and Arpi's needs to stop using it immediately. Luckily they are a great company that I have been using for 10 years and their service is impeccable. But using AI like this leads to horrible customer experiences. I needed a AC maintenance from someone with an extension ladder, I was very clear about it and even repeated myself. They assured me it was no problem. They turned up without one. When I phoned agaiun, they told me the servidve order was correct, but the maintance giy must not have read it. Tney later phoned back and lied and said I never orderd an extension ladder. Just terrible, not to be trusted. read more

We just had two new furnaces installed by Arpi's and the full process went very smoothly. The Project Manager, Rene, was professional and preformed an indepth evaluation prior to submitting a quote with 4 different options and was patient and responsive to our questions. The installation crew, Ross & Justin, arrived on time explained what they were going to do an how long it would take. They both were respectfull of our property and even set the furnaces up with temporary exhaust to allow us to have heat overnight until they could finish the install on the second day (whihc was the porposed schedule). The inspection passed easily and the inspector commented on the qulity of installation and duct work. We are very pleased with the work and the competitive pricing which was competitive with the 2 other companies we recieved quotes from. read more

Arpi's is fine to install a new furnace, but their maintenance SUCKS!!! My 92 yr old father's furnace ( install by Arpi's 2 years ago) recently crapped out on him. ( Friday April 3, 2026) He woke up to a dead furnace that had been recently serviced under the warranty that Arpi's provides. The house temperature had dropped to 10 C overnight. When I arrived at my dad's, he was sitting in his downfilled coat with his hood up and sheep skin mittens on. He had phoned the Arpi's emergency line at 8 am, then indicated that even though it was an emergency, Arpi's could not come until Monday April 6th even though this was an "emergency". I phoned Arpi's and finally got through to a young lady. I explained that my 92 yr father could NOT be left without heat until Mon April 6th as the temperatures in Calgary were to be freezing and below for the next few days. The young lady said she would put this request out to her "team" and see what they could do. I asked to be phoned back in a 1/2 hour. I am still waiting for the call!! I had to call another heating and plumbing service who came within 2 hours and got things fixed for my dad. Arpi's may be good at installing a furnace, but their after service /emergency care is NON EXISTENT!!! I would NEVER recommend a company that is willing to let a 92 yr old man freeze to death in his own house because it is "Good Friday" and their emergency team can't help!! Emergencies happen at any time no matter if it is a holiday or not!! read more

We Just had a new installation of heat pump on June 12, 2025. We have had 2 follow-up visits, already. It is still not working properly. The heat pump part of the system provides no heat. It does provide cooling. The temperature sensor appears to not function consistently. The emergency heat setting does provide heat. Disappointed with the set-up and service. read more

Took a few trips but final crew was amazing and rather than replace one thing or another worked through to solution and after spending some dough on installation of boiler and several fails got it right with no charge read more

We have tried numerous HVAC companies in YYC and couldn't believe the issues. For example, when it really counted, in the winter they wouldn't have the manpower to come and repair a No heat situation. A number of years ago we signed up for an annual maintenance plan with Arpi's and are so glad we did. They send the right people to do repairs when needed and each year, again they send the right people to perform the annual maintenance on air conditioning, furnace, humidifier and boiler system. We didn't even shop when the boiler needed replacing in 2018. We hired Arpi's boiler crew to get it done. Those guys are artists and the project they did was exceptional. Our place is old enough that it has poly B plumbing, and we've had our share of leaks and issues. We finally decided to get the job done and Jordan was just excellent to deal with and provided all the information we needed. He sent Julian and Connor to do the project of replacing the Poly B as well as we opted for a softener and electronic water shutoff device at the same time. These fellows are truly amazing and were very sensitive to our living space , asking very politely about everything they touched. Their project is exceptional too, a work of art. We are so grateful to have met such fine craftsmen as them. We wish them and your company the very best of success and will continue to be appreciative customers going forward! Call someone else! on October 25th, I called Arpi's asking for a repair to my furnace. I was prepared to pay for an emergency call out but they said all of their emergency opening for today were full. I asked if I could get someone tomorrow. They said no, their first opening was December 12th. I restated that I needed an immediate repair, not a service call. They said the soonest that they could send someone was Dec 12th. I hung up and called A1 Chesney. They sent out a technician and my furnace was repaired this afternoon. I hear from our natural gas provider that ownership at Arpi's has changed and they are no longer a trusted service provider. It feels like they don't have the staff to handle customer needs. Seek out another company. Arpi's is not interested in helping you. read more

Horrible horrible horrible. Stay away it will only cost you more and more money every time they visit. The know all the tricks such as inflating part costs and pretending to replace parts. They are a great candidate for the show Marketplace. If you are dumb enough to purchase off of this company don't get an extended warranty, it means nothing. They will not respect it. read more

If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact either Jeff Johnson or Bob Doerksen Thank you Sarah" MY REVIEW: We hired Arpi's in early July to install our new A/C. On install day there was a miscommunication and the electrician never showed up until a few days later. A few days later, once the A/C unit was installed and the power hooked up, it worked for less than a couple hours before it cooked our blower motor inside the furnace. We had Arpi's come back to investigate and they were here for all of 10 minutes and said, "Yep, your blower fan is toast. We suggest getting a whole new furnace since the motor alone is almost the same price." They proceeded to try charging us an additional $225 for a service call for that, then they quoted $2000 high for a new furnace ($6500 versus $4500 with another company). We ended up going with a different company for the new furnace (shout out to Wade from CUSTOMAX who was awesome). Finally after all that, we had A/C but then we left for vacation and came back two weeks later to an ice cold hot tub that stopped working. Thought it was possibly related to the load switch that was added during the A/C install so we contacted Arpi's once again. After a series of calls arranging and rearranging times for them to once again come have a look at the issue, the several one sentence emails later they cancelled altogether and directed us to call their contract electrician directly. The whole issue felt very hands off for Arpi's. It really felt like they didn't care if the project was ever completed properly. They certainly don't have the top notch customer service that I heard they used to have before Mr. Arpi passed. read more

Liked that they showed up and fixed our gas leak quickly. However, they put 3 holes in our wall to find the gas line, although they said they had a laser finder. They could have also measured the walls to determine where the line was, but he was in a hurry, and chose to put 3 holes in our wall instead. He also busted the back of our kitchen cupboard when he put the new fitting on. read more

I recently had an issue with my hot water heater (Pilot light wouldn't stay lit). As a relatively new home owner, this was the first repair I was having to arrange and it was a bit stressful. I had called around to several other places to see if I could get a quick repair. I didn't receive a call back from many of them and the one or two that I did didn't have appointments for 4-5 days (not good when you don't have hot water!) Enter Arpi's. They told me they could have someone over in 1-3 hours. And they did! The dispatcher also called to tell me closer to arrival time that the tech was on his way. The technician was friendly and got straight to work. He told me it was doubtful my older hot water heater could be repaired but he'd do his best (he explained parts aren't made for that brand and model any more in most cases and they are proprietary). He said he'd do his best though. Lucky for me, he was able to fix it! He also inspected the tank and told me I will need to think about buying on in the next year or so which was helpful. He suggested a model that would be perfect for my home but wasn't pushy about it. He write it down so I'd have the name of it when I was ready to buy. I'm really happy with the service I received and the rates I paid. Its good to know I now know of a responsive company I can trust for future heating and cooling (and plumbing) needs. read more

A colleague recommended ARPI's to me when I decided to deal with my kitchen sink leak. "They're not cheap, but they are quick and efficient," was what she told me. She was bang on in her assessment. When I called them, they quickly fit me in for the following morning. They called in the morning to say that a plumber was on his way and would arrive within 30 minutes. Simon the happy plumber did indeed arrive within that time frame. Simon was friendly and kept his promises. When he had to go back to HQ to pick up parts, he promised to return within 45 minutes. He returned within 40 minutes. He had to cut out part of my ceiling on the lower level to find the leak but he did so in a way that it would be easy to repair. Once he replaced the cracked pipe and sealed it, it was good to go. No more fear of having water spew out of my lower level light fixture each time I washed the dishes above in the kitchen. All in all, I think he was on the job for 3.5 hours (including travel time). People warned me that I'd be paying around $500 for a plumber. These were also the same people who said it's better to pay more for a good plumber. I was happy that the bill came to $389. read more

Woke up earlier this week to a cold house and a furnace in need of a new blower motor. After calling a couple of independent repair places, I called Arpi's to compare. I was quite surprised to hear their estimate come in over $100 less than anything else I had found, and was pleasantly surprised to see how upfront they were about the charges (though charging by a job rate, rather than hourly). Made an appointment for between 12 and 2 that afternoon and got a call at about 1:45 saying that they would be there in 15 minutes. While this was right at the end of the window that they gave me, it's still better than some other places I've dealt with, and compared to the cable or telephone company, a two hour appointment window is pretty darn good. The technician (actually 2) showed up, had a look at the unit, confirmed what I had suspected and went out to the truck to grab the new parts. Other then giving me a flyer for a duct cleaning special and mentioning that there was a more expensive, though more energy efficient, motor option I didn't get any hard sell for upgrades or other services. The work was done in under an hour (mind you with two people on site). They pointed out a couple other things that I might want to get done: a couple easy DIY things I could do myself, and only one minor plumbing issue that might lead to a sale for them. In the end, the final cost was about $25 more than what I have been quoted on the phone, but still over $100 better than I'd heard from anyone else. Now I'm sure there are probably better deals out there if you take your time to shop around, or if you know what guy who knows a guy. But all-in-all Arpi's turned out to be easy to book and work with, and I think charged a fair price. read more

Arpi's is the HVAC company that Avi contracted for my new home build. They installed the furnace and then the a/c after I moved in. The furnace they installed is incapable of heating this house when the temps drop below freezing outside. Their representative claimed the furnace is "right-sized" for efficiency but in this case it means grossly undersized. If its -20 outside and the furnace is set to 21C it will never get above 19C. When it warmed up, it would take 3 hours in the mornig to raise the temp from 17C overnight to 20C. Load calculations by two other HVAC companies have confirmed the furnace is undersized. Arpi's claims their load calculation is correct but if that's true, I'd like to know why the house doesn't heat up. The quality of the install job was very poor with gaps several millimetres wide at many seams and holes large enough to fit a pencil through at corners. I had to apply foil tape myself to keep the mechanical room at the same temperature as the rest of the house. They also did a poor job placing the vents around the house. Several all too close to the walls to fit a cover so their solution was to cut the edge off a cover and squeeze it in against the baseboard. It looks bad and means it will be nearly impossible to ever replace the cover. After the a/c install I was provided with the forms for a rebate but Lennox refuses to accept the forms provided by Arpi's. When I call their office I was told to email the account the rebate forms came from, but they haven't responded to a single email to that account. For the deposit they asked for my credit card number along with the security code over the phone which I've confirmed violates their merchant agreement. Apparently no one there has figured out how to generate an invoice in payfirma. It would be difficult to be less satisfied with a company. There are a hundred other HVAC companies in Calgary you should consider before Arpi's. read more

James Neale was the technican who came out. Absolutely top notch service. He was knowledgeable, respectful, and took his time to do the best job possible. All aspects of my infloor heating system were checked out to make sure it was working properly. A credit to your company. I will ask for him when my next service is required. Had them come out when the furnace quit working on Christmas night and very cold temperatures. They charged $250 for the emergency call for the diagnostic and good on them for coming out! We have no problem paying for the emergency call. But the $14 part they installed for $200 and the $120 part installed for $414 is unreasonable and excessive to say the least!! Technician was there for just over an hour. Merry Christmas Arpi's! We appreciate the work but way overpriced! Fixed the problem but just under a thousand dollars!! read more

My furnace died during the night right in the middle of a cold spell. Trying to find someone that could look at it, I called a few places. Arpi's was the only one who called me back shortly and could give me an estimate on when they could arrive. They came first thing in the morning and we're able to replace my fan motor right away. Do not use these people. They have ruined everything that they have touched both furnace and the A/C. Spent over $2000.00 in parts and labor with these people. When my home was 3 years old they did a service on the furnace and A/C they have not worked properly since. They do horrible work then 1 month after they were there something will stop working again. Things seem to stop after their one month warranty on the work they just did. Then the same problem again, but this time something else is added to the list. Call them back and dig deeper into my pockets to pay these fools. Still having issues till this day. I wouldn't recommend these people to anyone! read more

They won't call you back and when they finally came to fix my furnace the technician had no clue what he was doing and tried to tells that my furnace was too old to fix when in reality it is only two years old. He said he had to come back tomorrow to try and fix it and now I am sitting here in a cold house. read more

We had them come out to unplug our dryer vent that happens to vent to the roof - which they were aware of beforehand. They charged me $200 for a bunch of nothing. The warning came back on my dryer the next month. Apparently they tried to blow it out from the dryer vent inside the house and didn't think that it may be clogged up on the roof. Alberta Furnace Cleaning came out and did the job right by actually going on top of the roof and cleared a huge blockage. We were lucky we didn't have a fire because of Arpi's shoddy job. AB Furnace Cleaning was professional and friendly completed the job on a Saturday! They also were half the price! read more

They are a solid heating & plumbing outfit who have been around forever. I first started using them many years ago to service my furnace since they were referred to me by Lennox. I have since used them for a new Hot water tank install and annual furnace maintenance. Their staff are knowledgeable, friendly and pricing fair and right where you would expect with no upsells or unnecessary repairs quoted. read more

I purchased a new home in April 2012. On April 30, 2013, my furnace quit working. Arpi's supplied and installed the furnace, so to get warranty, I called them to come and check it. The service technician was 20 minutes late. He came in, took the top cover off my furnace, checked two wires with a tester, then went outside to his van. He came back in with a part, and installed it in my furnace in approximately five minutes. The furnace then fired up and worked as normal. He then reassembled the panel. This took another five or ten minutes. Then, for ten minutes, he sat on my floor, and filled out several pieces of paper work. In the end, the technician was in my home for less than 30 minutes. He presented me a bill for 235.00 . The pressure switch he replaced ( 50 - 60 dollars ) was under warranty, so theoretically at no cost. The entire 235.00 was for diagnosis and labour to change the part. If you discount the ten minutes this guy took filling out paper work, it took him 20 minutes to do the actual work. At the rates he charged me, it's equivalent to 705.00 per hour. Arpi's should be embarrassed about this obvious and distressing billing policy. Arpi's sucks. I will never call them again. read more

My parents bought a furnace through Costco and Arpis is the company that they had to deal with. They waited 3 weeks for the furnace in cold October temperatures and when the installers arrived they would not install the furnace unless my father signed a paper saying he had to pay 49.00 every time they came out to service the furnace. Costco and Arpis advertised and quoted that the furnace had a 10 year parts and labor warranty. My father is 87 and was basically bullied onto signing. He had tried without success to have the original terms of his purchase recognized. He was also emailed that he had to pay 100.00 every year for a furnace inspection. When he complained he was told he could take them to court. Shame on Arpis for your poor treatment of elderly people. I would never buy anything from this company! I would not even give this business a one but zero its not an option read more

I booked a consultation with Arpis. They had to come to my home to do an assessment for an air conditioner. I booked almost a week in advance and rushed home after work to meet with them. The problem was, no one showed up. Not only that, no one called to say they couldn't make it. I called them the next day and was offerred no appology and no explanation, just a somewhat rude offer to reschedule. I asked for an explanatoin of what happened and that was last week. I still have no response from them. Needless to say I declined to reschedule with them. read more

Due to the size of the job I am going to have many companies quote; but only the ones interested in winning the bid by giving a good job at a fair price not those that don't trust their own competitiveness. read more

I just had Arpi's out to install 2 new furnaces, thermostats and humidifiers. The crew was on time and knowledgeable. It was very technical work that involved re-venting the new system and this was accomplished with a some of the original infrastructure. The worked with me to minimize any impact in the house (e.g., cutting holes in drywall and venting placement) by discussing potential solutions. The furnace is working well and I amazed at how quiet the new system is! Arpi's installed my original furnace 17 years ago and I wouldn't use them again if they weren't good the first time. I like that they have been around so I know I can depend on them in the future. read more

Last time using Arpi's . A few years ago I bought a new furnace, hot water tank and installed an AC last summer. I also used them for my annual furnace maintenance. We bought a new house and needed a gas line and stove hooked up. We called early May took them 1.5 weeks to send an estimator. Meanwhile our new gas stove was arriving next day. The estimator said he would call back about an appointment being a small job and all. June 5 they finally show up and roughed in the gas line (stove couldn't push back all the way because rough in was in wrong location and did not hook up the stove beause they did not have the proper hose. I told the filter I would run to Home Depot and get one . He said he had other appointments and couldn't wait. I called the office and they told me they would have the estimator call me back to arrange another appointment. 1 week later I called back spoke to the manger who said he would look into it. I never got the job completed and had to do it myself if I wanted to cook. Defeats the purpose of calling the experts. Over a half grand for 1 man1.5 hours. Never again Arpis. read more

My furnace wasn't working so I called Atco to have them come by and check it. They came by and said that all is good except the fan motor is seized and gave me the exact information to tell the HVAC person so that I could get a proper quote for the job. He told me that it should be under $500 to get the part and have it installed as the part is only about $100. I called Arpis and they said that it would be $471 for the part and the installation and they could get it done within the next couple of hours. I was pleased with the price as was similar to what the Atco person told me. The tradesperson arrived and looked at the furnace and told me it would be $707!!! I asked how that was when I was quoted $471 by their rep over the phone. I was told that it was due to another part that was $78 and then the kicker...$125 dispatch fee!!!! There is no way the person on the phone giving me the quote would not have known about the dispatch fee. The $78 I could live with but the other fee is unacceptable business practice. Unfortunately, the weather is -20 and had no choice but to accept this and pay the amount (which is what they had intended I'm sure). Just a heads up...if you use this company...ask what the FINAL PRICE IS and probably even better, get it in an email for reference. The only reason for 2** is that they were prompt. read more
