We purchased our unit through…read morethem easily and they worked very hard to make sure our financing limit was respected while making sure we were still fully protected within our trailer's four walls. It's the only reason this isn't a 1-star review. That was then... The last couple of years have been a big challenge with respect to servicing and it's changed my tune on this company. We've been servicing our trailer each year to make sure everything is in top shape, but when they're either not responding to online or over-the-phone requests, they're telling me that the best available date is months off! We had critical work to be done (one axel was misaligned and causing damage) and we were unceremoniously told in late May that they could slip us into the schedule in October. At this point, I don't know where to bring our trailer if something comes up. Other Forest River dealers won't touch our unit when they learn where we purchase it from. I don't understand what's changed at Rangeland, but the team we bought from and the service we received early on has completely vanished.

Here's a polished and professional rewrite of your review/complaint:…read more I purchased a used 2019 Rockwood Lite trailer and picked it up on May 1. Shortly after taking possession, I notified Parker, the salesperson, that the fridge was going into "check" mode when plugged into shore power and also when running on propane. The trailer was also tripping the breaker at my house. Parker and I agreed that I would take the trailer camping over the May long weekend and then return it afterward for repairs. The service department was very helpful. They replaced a part on the fridge and advised me that it was working properly. I brought the trailer home, plugged it in, and everything initially seemed fine. The following day, I checked on the trailer and found the fridge had gone back into "check" mode and was sounding the alarm. I switched the fridge to propane while leaving the trailer plugged in, but the same issue continued and the alarm kept sounding. I contacted the service department and let them hear the noise over the phone. Another service appointment was scheduled, and I continued using the trailer. During this time, I unplugged the trailer from the power and operated it on battery power with the fridge running on propane. Under those conditions, the fridge worked perfectly. When I returned the trailer for service, I explained that the fridge operated properly on propane when the trailer was not plugged in, but consistently went into "check" mode and sounded the alarm whenever shore power was connected. Today, I received a call from the service department informing me that the refrigerator control board needed to be replaced. The manager stated that this was a different problem than the one previously repaired and that I would be responsible for up to $500 in repair costs. Unfortunately, this is not the first issue I have had with management. When I purchased the trailer for $34,000, the front window was cracked and needed replacement. The manager had the salesperson ask whether I would pay the additional $1,400 required for the repair. When I became upset and indicated that I wanted to cancel the entire purchase, the manager suddenly changed his position and claimed it had all been a misunderstanding. Would I purchase another RV from this dealer? Absolutely not. I would strongly recommend that others look elsewhere. In my opinion, this trailer had not been properly serviced before it was sold. It was not even properly cleaned. I found a baby bottle nipple in the bed area, and the outside kitchen was quite dirty. To be fair, the service department has been very good to deal with and has tried to help. My concerns are with the overall management of the dealership, which has been disappointing. Service Department: Very Good Management: Not Recommended This version keeps the facts and frustration intact while making it clearer, more professional, and more persuasive if you're posting it as a public review or submitting it as a formal complaint.

Yesterday I had the most terrifying experience of my life!!…read moreI went to pick up my trailer for storage to bring home for the night for camping this weekend as I have done since I bought it a year ago.. everything went right but something was very wrong.. 10 Minutes down the road on a country road in Airdrie with no shoulder and all of a sudden the trailer slams down on the ground as I'm going 90 and starts bouncing back and forth only attached by one cable as the cable was sheared, the emergency brake line pulled to lock the trailer breaks and the metal was dragging on the ground shooting sparks thru the air!! All while I try to slow down my vehicle and the trailer and stop without rolling either into the ditch as the was NO shoulder to pull over! I decided to try to call Racetrack RV where I bought it a year ago to ask their suggestion as to how I can move it now before I called a tow truck.. I was frantic! The receptionist who answered said no problem I'm going to transfer you to someone who can help.. The guy on the phone said no problem where are you I'm on my way!!Keep in mind I didn't just buy it.. it was in May 2017!! But after sitting terrified on the road , in the pouring rain not able to move I see the Racetrack truck pull up and feel so relieved!! I walk back to greet him and it's the owner!!! He gets down on the ground replaces the line so I am able to unlock and drive then says " ok now let's drive it to my service lot and I'll follow so you know you're safe" The Service business lot was closed for the day so he unlocks, drives me in, takes the trailer off my vehicle and as I'm thanking him over and over I ask when it can be fixed..he says " oh you're still camping this weekend this is our first service to be completed tomorrow " Now that is Customer Service..Talk about going above and beyond!!!! I love supporting companies who truly care about people!!

I've dealt with several people in parts & service since I bought my trailer at the RV show in February 2016. The latest was Shawn and I gotta say, so far he's been great to deal with. He was very accommodating by coming in on his day off so I could pick up my unit that was in for some warranty work and accident repair. He was helpful and thoroughly explained everything that was done. He has a genuine concern that the customers he looks after are happy with the service they've been given and that they will feel comfortable coming back should they need service in the future. My trailer was cleaned and ready to go when we arrived to pick it up. They also did a few minor services, like inspect the roof and tire pressure. These little things mean a lot to a customer. I've emailed the parts department several times and always got a response in a very timely manner. I will never recommend the Racetrack business team that I had the misfortune of dealing with (Matt & Josh) but I will absolutely recommend their parts and service staff, their sales staff and Ken, the owner as people I will do business with again. As someone that runs a camping group in Calgary, I will be sure to share my experience with the over 500 members in my group :)

Our salesman, Brandon Losinski took the time to look through the inventory to find us a unit we were interested in, up in Grande Prairie. Brandon liaised with the manager up in Grande Prairie and facilitated the paperwork so when we got up there, everything was ready to go. There was never any pressure sale and although we purchased one of their least expensive units, we received gold star service that made us feel like our business mattered. Brandon followed up with us after we'd picked up the unit, to make sure everything had gone smoothly for us up in Grande Prairie. As well, he called after we got back from our first camping trip, to review that all had gone well. We purchased an extended warranty and road service and feel confident we will have many good years with and make amazing memories in our adventures with our motor home.

A Case of Non-disclosure…read more We have been Rving for 35 years and have never dealt with a company like this. It is "Buyers Beware." We purchased a pre-owned trailer and paid 2X than our previous trailers. We inspected the trailer being assured that all used trailers are thoroughly inspected before they go out for sale. The first time we took the trailer out we noticed the tires losing air. We brought the trailer and had to buy four new tires. We also noted after we brought the unit home that there was a soft spot right in front of the doorway. Our daughter visited us for a few nights, when we opened the air mattress was non-functional. We had to rush out to buy a replacement. Three days later during a 21 day vacation, water started to leak all over. We replaced the kitchen faucet but the leak just slowed down and continued worse than before. At this point we have spent $1500. The soft spots are caused by rotting wood underneath the lino and can cost $9000 to get fixed. The Service Department advised Marketing about this big issue, but Marketing decided they didn't want to fix it but instead pass it on to their unknowing customer. Woodys expect us to be happy and pick up the trailer. We may be elderly but not dumb. But that's how they're treating us. I advised our sales rep. about these issues from the beginning and he told me he was going to forward our concerns to the General Manager. When I called up the sales office, I found out that there is no such person. What they have are Sales Managers who were not aware of our issues until I wrote them myself. Liar, liar pants on fire. We cut our holiday short realizing that the leak is farther damaging the floor. Woodys knew about these problems but decided to sell the trailer anyway. I wonder if they would sell it to their parents or siblings or their own children. How honest are these people? Just like the other customer said, yes, this is the worse company we've ever dealt with.

I have to keep calling her and emailing her to find out if the parts arrived. This was not just one incident . 2) they forgot or neglect to submit warranty work to the manufacturer. I waited 2 months to confirm my warranty work was approved. I called them every 2 weeks over a 2 month period and when the service representative finally returned my call she said that they were still waiting to hear from Thor. I asked her for the reference number so I could call Thor myself and she said they don't get a reference number. I finally called Thor and found out that they hadn't even submitted the warranty request at all and if they had submitted it there would have been a PA number. When I texted Travelland and asked for the GMs number, I got a very quick response....but the GMs number was never provided. 3) the service techs are unable to complete the work within the warranty time allotment so they need to charge extra. Apparently it took the service tech 1 hour to find out where the inverter was in my motorhome so he could turn it on. This was not the flat 1 hour minimum fee as a bunch of other warranty work was being done at the same time. 4) they are quoting two hours to replace some plastic trim on the ceiling that is only held in place by 8 screws. Of course this is one hour longer than Thor warranty group will authorize...and about 1 hour and 45 minutes longer than it would actually take. Even Thor is calling Travelland trying to understand how they are inventing these numbers. 5) I suspect the issues with Travelland stems from the top as the service representative said in an email that they would not be charging more time above the warranty period if I had bought my rv from them. And I never did receive the GM is phone number.
