It is so much better than Link in Rice Lake! But trying to get service done on my Ford's is impossible! I leave message after message and they never return the calls. Finally I call either the sales department or collision department and they will go over and find out what's going on in service and why they aren't picking up or returning voicemails! When Service finally gets back to me, to book an appointment they make an excuse that it's their new phone system. It can't be their new phone system for the past two years! It has to be under staffed, laziness or something else! I think the owners of Don Johnson have no clue how mismanaged this service department is or they would solve this issue immediately. When you interact with the service people they're polite and professional so I have no issue with that. It is just trying to make an appointment! They need someone to answer their phones and book appointments

We appreciate you from the bottom of our hearts! We are an active duty military family on vacation from Texas and just outside of Rice Lake we had turbo intake hose on our 2025 GMC Sierra 2500 HD AT4X AEV blow. We were 70 miles from where we were staying and found this GMC dealer online. Desperate, we went inside and explained our situation. We had no other vehicle, we were 1400 miles from home, and 70 miles from where we were staying, with zero options. We were stranded. Samuel, our service advisor, said he would need to talk to the manager Mel and see what they could do as they were booked solid. Samuel and Mel were able to squeeze my car in the very next day, despite being booked solid, and provide us with a loaner vehicle so we could make it to our lodging for the evening. This dealer was a lifesaver! They repaired my truck the next day and even let us keep the loaner car an extra day as it was our 25th wedding anniversary and we didn't want to spend it driving to pick up the vehicle. This is exactly what you want every dealer to do, but very few would go above and beyond like the team at Don Johnson Motors and Rice Lake. Vehicle was in shop for approximately 15 minutes but was still charged the $129.00. When the amount was questioned I was told that since that was the estimate then that was the charge. Don't know too many people that make $129.00 for 15 minutes unless it is my heart surgeon. Won't go back.
