The Maple, and 3 burning bushes were essentially dead but I was told they were dormant. In the areas they were planted, other plants are thriving (not a soil issue). Phoned, informed business of issue and they will not even consider any corrective actions. This was due to the items being on sale. Being on sale does not mean "buyer beware".

The selection/inventory looked to be dwindling somewhat, but just about everything they had still looked good and healthy. Noticed they sold produce to the left of the building on the outside this time too. One star knocked off on this visit because, after much looking around and not seeing anything we decided to ask for help. We were told they supposedly didn't carry many fruit trees, "if any at all", by the older, tall blonde woman at the register on staff during the early afternoon hours. It didn't seem like a very definitive response. The second star is knocked off because she really did not seem interested in interacting or helping us after her 'informative' tree comment. She walked away thereafter, presumably get away from us and our pesky questions. Still a nice place, with nice stuff, but lacking on customer service on this visit.

First, I want to thank Robert for taking the time to show us around. He is full of knowledge about so many of the pieces and not a bit of sales pressure. It made us feel so comfortable shopping and browsing this huge display area and outside grounds. Many of the unique and ornately detailed pieces are surprisingly lower than anticipated prices which are affordable to the average family. They've got everything from pricy colorful gigantic dragons, humorous garden nomes, and The Seven Dwarfs, to simple delicate carved stone apples and eggs. It's not all stone, though. They rightly so state that the pieces they sell have "No concrete of any kind." Sculptures of mythical creatures, historical figures, animals, functional furniture for the garden or patio or yard abound here. Also found here is pieces of abstract art carved of granite, jade, and other beautiful stone as well as sculpted pieces of aluminum (painted if you so desire), and wood pieces, as well. If you're looking to spruce up the homestead, inside or out, Westside Stone, I'm sure will be a place you be excited to choose your next piece(s) from. My mother's the one with the green thumb - not me - but there were several gorgeous plants and trees there I wanted to take home. My mom was looking for several Evergreens so we stopped by, they are wholesale here but at times do open up to the public for limited options. Eric greeted us and was very nice, patient, down to earth, helpful and professional. He accommodated my mom by taking her around in the cart to view all the Evergreens on the grounds because she wanted to "choose the best ones!". He even spent time helping her make her final choices. I was impressed with Eric's deep knowledge and experience about planting and landscaping, he certainly knows his stuff. It's family owned and operated since 1964, Eric and his sister run this Nursery and they also have a store in Rochester Hills. I was fascinated at the plethora plants and trees and shrubbery they have to offer - a lot of variety and selection here. I'd say my favorites were the Sugar Maple Trees - - absolutely gorgeous.
