This place is a sh**hole. They're "store" is nothing but a hoarders living room that smells like ammonia because they have 60 cats that live under and around the place. The drinks they were selling were stored in a refrigerator they used for personal groceries. All the docks are falling apart and nothing look like it has been maintained since the 80's. Place is an absolute lawsuit waiting to happen. This place is the epitome of trailer trash. read more

We have lived at Arrowhead Harbor since the beginning of 2011. Best move we ever made! Jack and Heidi are the best people, as long as you respect the rules of the contract for live-aboard residents. As for the tide, Jack and Heidi have no control over that. Jack and Heidi are the only ones running this marina, which, given everything they have on their plates, are doing an awesome job! We have Awesome neighbors, and we couldn't have picked a better place to retire! Thank you Jack and Heidi for allowing us to be a part of this community! P.S. In May of last year, I became a live-aboard berther at Arrowhead Harbor. I am extremely happy with my home. The owners/harbormasters, Jack and Heidi, run the place very, well with rules that keep the place safe and undesirables out. The location is secluded, has very little boat or vehicle traffic, and is the quite place for which I was searching. Jack and Heidi are some of the most friendly people I have ever met, and were at large part of the reason I chose that place. My dogs have the ability to run free on the private levees, once we are away form the marina, there are miles of levee trails on which to ride your bike without having to watch for traffic. Wildlife abounds, from the Great Horned Owls hooting to each other as they start their nightly hunt, to the coyotes howling at sunset. Water birds like ducks, blue herons, and water animals like otters, live there with each other. All in all a great place, from the fishermen who daily come to the boat ramp to launch, to the live-aboard community that hosts parties and watches out for each other. Would not trade it for any other marina I have seen in the Delta yet. read more

This is the worst place ever. Let's start with the crappy road to get there bumpy rough and small. If you have made it to the marina you will be like WTH is this looks like it is 40 years of rot. The dam ramp has no courtesy dock and on low tide don't take the chance of launching because it's all broken up and shallow. Next is the parking or lack of. And they are very anal about it also it really sucks this is the closest launch to reach some really good fishing spots I would only do this place if I really had to. read more

The last post is a couple of years old. Things have changed and are changing. The owners Jack and Heidi have worked hard for years to make this a safe place to be. From what I hear this place used to be "wide open" to theft and out of control partying. Now I like to lift an adult beverage as much or more than the next guy, but do not get out of control out here. This is a place where we look out for each other and lend a hand when needed. Large craft DO need to consult a tide schedule to time there coming and goings. No one has ever said that this is a deep water harbor. A little basic seamanship goes along way here and any where else on the water. Just because you have enough money to buy a boat, does not make you a safe boater. Fisherman and hunters use the launch ramp daily. Quick and easy access to the north delta make this the place to be. Park your rig after launch without a worry about someone breaking into it. While the office does have some bait, you might want to stop in Freeport on your way out. They try, but keeping fresh bait is a hard thing to do in this remote location. I am one of the few full time live-aboard residents out here. I have been here for a little over three years. I have looked all over the north delta at marinas. Time after time I have made the CHOICE to stay. I love my neighbors and appreciate that we look out for each other. Last word. If you come out here to act like an idiot, you better think again. Pay before you launch. And be friendly. If you try to take advantage of the place you will be tossed out on your ear. Bring you friends and family for a safe and fun day on the water. read more

If I could give this 0 stars, I would. I got back to the dock today after one of the worst days ever. My boat battery died and wouldn't crank over. Waited over 1 hour until someone helped me jump start my battery and I was on my way back to the marina. As I got to the marina and hopped in my car, cranked over the key, my truck wouldn't start. I then noticed I left my headlights on. What a dummy. Now, to top off the story. I saw a truck drive on the levee so i waived them down. To find out that the owners came to grab something from the office; office closed Monday's. I slowly walked up to the truck and kindly asked if they could give me a jump start. The lady, owner, said they don't lend out cables to anyone because it was stolen once. At this point I assumed they didn't have any jumpers on them so I said ok thanks, I'll wait for someone who could help. I started walking towards my truck then I heard their truck coming towards me. I looked back and they came towards my truck and she rolled down the window and said, "we sell jumper cables in the office if you want to buy them". Now I'm confused and angry. They said they didn't have cables then refuse to help jump my truck but want me to buy their jumper cables? Buy cables and then what? Pay you to jump my car also? Pathetic. I refused to buy it so she then continued to say, "well a lot of people come here so someone will show up eventually". At this point I was about to flip on them but I held back. This place is trash. Their launch is a piece of shit. And they scream at you for not parking tight in their parking spots. I used to come here all the time. The worst experience I've ever had! They were rude when we showed up. We had bad vibes from them from the get go. Racist Jack and Heidi harrassed me and my buddy for "Supposedly hanging out." We had just finished fishing. And were loading up the truck when Jack came up and told us we had to either leave or go back out on the water. "We don't let your kind or any other people just hang out in the marina" I'm Mexican and my buddy is African American. We were so tempted to smack the ishh out of him. But we held our cool and decided to just walk away. So we finished packing up and by this time it's pretty much dark and I couldn't start my truck. My battery had died So I went to the office for help and to tell them about my situation. When I was about 25ft away, Jack and Heidi came out the bushes and scurried into the office. Its wasn't but 4 seconds when I got to the door. I knocked 3 different times. Never answered the door. So I walked back to my truck called my wife to come down for help, and out of nowhere some other dude came out of the shadows towards the office. I ran up and said "Excuse me... Excuse me sir... Excuse me." And then Heidi opened the door for him and waved him in quickly and shut the door on me. At this point I was shocked! Like what the F#@k is this place. Some hills have eye shit going on around here. It took about 45 minutes for my wife to get there. That whole time we were watching them watch us on the cameras! Thank God for my wife to come and bail us out. Never ever going back to that place. read more

Still can't believe the way myself and 2 friends were treated today. We launched at 645am and had a decent day of fishing. Upon returning to this marina we were immediately met by a angry man screaming we owed him $22 dollars and that we had launched the night before and he had proof on camera. After arguing and attempting to pay immediatly I was cursed at and called a fatass. Then the female operator would not return my credit card and we were told the Sheriff was on his way. After some harsh words and empty threats my credit card was thrown in my face and we were told FU-- YOU we don't want your money or your business and never return. No problem we will never return . The facility itself is highly delapidated and run down. I guess the owners management and maintenence routine mocks his customer service. We have launched at this Marina several times and payed after we got back because they don't open until 9am. In conclusion if you want to be judged, name called, threatened, or have your payment thrown in your face this is the place for you. There are so many boat launches up and down the delta with better facilities and good customer service why support this business? Terrible Marina.......Do not put your boat here. The water is so shallow you cant even get out of your slip unless its high tide. The owner Jack is one of the biggest A$$ holes I have ever met. What a bitter old Man on a mad power trip. It is a private secluded marina but after finding a great marina and seeing how different things can be I reccomend not wasting a season there. The grass IS greener on the other side. read more

We love Jack and Heidi great people. They are very helpful if you call and ask they will tell you if people are catching fish if it's even worth coming out. They go above and beyond to make sure everybody has a great experience. They have a small store and don't overcharge people for the few items that they carry. To begin, this harbor is very well maintained and the owners are outstanding. I have been visiting this marina for over three years and have had no problems, what so ever. It is situated in an area that is great for fishing, boating, skiing or just site seeing. The owners have always been very helpful and courteous. I'd give this place a minus 5 if I could. Jack and Heidi are horrible people. Jack yells, hollars and threatens, looking completely unbalanced and Heidi is no better. They treat their live aboard tenants like crap The lack of maintenance is so extensive its amazing no one has come to condemn the condition of the place. As to launching from there for a day of fishing, move on. They havent dregged the channel in years, your chances of sucking up silt at low tide is real good.Save yourself an awful day, go to a different Marina. read more

Great place, quiet, safe, clean. This is a great place. I have had my boat there for many many years. I have never had a problem. They have been nice enough to call me if I have left my radio on. Which I have done a couple of times. The owners are very nice people. Matter a fact I had some trouble with my boat and the owner came and helped me solve the problem, even went out of his way to stay and fix it with me. The other people with boats there are also very nice, everyone just seems to get along. Some of the boats are older but that helps with the charm of the place. My boat is in a great spot, great view and I never worry about it because I know they watch everything. Which is what I like. No garbage around, no bad people. read more

My experiences at Arrowhead Harbor Marina have been great. I love the location as it's clean, quiet and secluded. The shop has the essentials you need to start your fishing trip ranging from drinks, snacks and bait. The launch rates are reasonable and the ramp is easily accessible for most vehicles and boats. Marina owners (Jack and Heidi) are very friendly and helpful with the questions I had. I also really admired their pride and appreciation for their marina and their live-aboards. I have been there quite a few times now and will continue to go back and enjoy some fishing! read more
