Such a delightful day on the Bay! My Mister and I went sailing with Captain Kirk's last Saturday, and we had such an incredible experience! We sailed out of Sausalito floating across the Bay. We went under the Golden Gate Bridge and around Alcatraz and Angel Island. The weather couldn't have been more perfect, and the views were absolutely beautiful!! One of my favorite parts was seeing SF from the water. The city, the Golden Gate, and the Bay Bridge all looked so tiny and beautiful in the distance. It was so fun waving to people on the shore and having people on the other boats wave back to us. It was just such a happy, fun, and delightful experience!! The crew was incredibly kind, welcoming, and accommodating, which made the whole trip even better! We were lucky enough to join Wendy from Somatic Ecotherapy, and I'm so glad we got the opportunity to experience SF this way. By the end of the trip, my cheeks literally hurt from smiling so much!! We went on an adventure with a bunch of people, via Somatic Ecotherapy,, to do forest bathing on a sailboat. It was one of the most fun to be had, while at the same also disconnecting from everything digital on a one-day sailing retreat! On our trip, we were lucky enough go around the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz island, Angel Island, Tiburon, and Sausalito. It was a day that we're pretty sure we'll never forget! Great trip with a very friendly crew - safety and comfort conscious. We were on the racing yacht, sailing with only the jib (front sail) - while it cruised along pretty well (and smoothly) in good wind with just the one sail, I'd have liked to use the main sail and seen what she could do, but we had a few members who were beginners and worried about getting seasick. So I understand the captain for playing it on the safe side. Not cheap for 3 hours, but then sailing isn't a cheap pastime. Everyone had a very nice time, even the beginners (who didn't get seasick). read more

Outstanding experience!!! I would give 100 stars if I could. We used them for scattering my dad's ashes (he was a big time sailor) and they were phenomenal. Our captain, Mark and first mate, Ruby, checked in as we sailed out to see if we wanted to try to go under the Golden Gate Bridge as the weather started a bit rough. But we did and it was magical! We hired the company based on Yelp reviews, and were very satisfied with the experience from the first step to the sailing and crew. Sue replied quickly, answered all of our questions and set up the trip. Instructions were easy to follow and Captain Efe and his assistant Zoe kept us on track, expertly guided us through the process of what to expect while onboard, and helped us prepare for the scattering of ashes. Besides the items we brought with us, the 50 foot Bay Wolf had supplies such as hand sanitizer and ginger at the ready. We had a smooth trip out to the Golden Gate Bridge, and found a calm area within site of Kirby Cove to say goodbye to our parents. The sail was let out and we spent a leisurely return trip enjoying looking for porpoises, pelicans and fun conversation with the very helpful and capable crew. read more

Had the absolute best time with Captain Efe and Fiona. Took visiting family members sight-seeing and there is no better way to see San Francisco. Got a view of the Golden Gate bridge going underneath, sweeping views of the SF coastline, Angel island, Alcatraz. The sky and waters were beautiful. We ended up with a heap of gorgeous photos. Captain Kirk's Group was fantastic from start to finish. I went into this experience very blind as I had never chartered a boat before and I wanted to surprise my husband for his Birthday. The team was the fastest too respond to me first off. Sue was amazingly helpful with all my booking question and needs. Also, due to an airline outages I was afraid the birthday boy wasn't going to make it, Sue was super understanding and offered to rebook if we needed, luckily we did not and went as scheduled but it made me have more trust in their team that they offered. Captain Efe and Brenden were awesome! They kept everyone safe and made sure we had fun. I believe everyone in our party ended up having a conversation with them while on the boat. Celebrating my friend Dave's birthday on the bay. In a 50 foot yacht and a nice three hour tour. It was a little windy and choppy but the boat was handled so well I enjoyed every minute of it. My sister in law had researched about this place when she was planning her work events. We decided that we would use Mr Kirks services for my father in laws ash scattering in the bay. Captain Kirk's helped me with the ash burial of my mother, which I had faced with trepidation. Sue in the front office was hardworking and kind. The captain of the boat, Rowan, made a difficult experience better. He used his phone and speaker to play the music she had wanted for her funeral. She had also wished to be in the Pacific and have peonies be part of her ceremony. He chose a cove near the Golden Gate Bridge, where the waters of San Francisco Bay mix with those of the Pacific. The currents would take her out to the Pacific, where she hoped to be, recalling her young womanhood in Santa Monica. I didn't want to scatter her ashes--having to lose one more thing of hers, and I also wanted to avoid the risk of the ashes blowing back on us--so I bought a biodegradable container. Rowan offered to set it in the water for me, along with the peonies. I watched it until it sank. Rowan circled the boat long enough to allow me to see it until I was comfortable with leaving.
