A nice space with very high ceilings. Airy and open with great indoor and outdoor space. The French fries were delicious and the kimchi hot dog was pretty good as well. Let me begin by saying the deepest of thank you's to one of the staff members, a woman with blonde hair, who so graciously helped in an immeasurable way last Thursday when my husband & I showed up for our beer tasting with my leg & arm covered in blood from a bad fall that I had just had while hiking at Minnewaska S.P. She so thoughtfully allowed me to clean up & then gave me a roll of gauze & paper tape to bandage myself up with. And that flight of beer we enjoyed really dulled my pain (lol!). We had a nice, long talk with the owner, who shared with us his history on the farm & how COVID propelled him to expand into being a brewery. The property is beautiful, with Adirondack chairs & bistro tables everywhere, there is live music day & evenings, there is comfy seating inside. It's a little tight at the bar. We like two of the four beers in the flight. In general, their beer selection was okay. I didn't like the vibe of the outdoor space. And there is a disconnect between the decor of the indoor space and amenities outdoors. Rather than going here again, I would go to Westwind or Rough Cut (probably Rough Cut). read more

The best activity we had during our camping trip! lol The farm is very well kempt - clean and beautiful! Even the chicken coop! Indoors was a bit warm when we visited for some reason (but was tolerable) and music was a little loud for our baby so we decided to sit outside. Their outdoor seating was relaxing and you can appreciate their grounds as well as how beautifully done their landscaping is. They also have a changing menu depending on local ingredients which is great. We ended up ordering a bunch of food lol The burgers and sandwiches were delicious! you can taste the freshness of the ingredients actually. The fried chicken sandwich was awesome and perfectly fried! Very good crunch. The fried green bean app would be my favorite though. I love how they made the batter - good flavor and remained crispy! We were lucky to be assisted by Andrew that day. He was very pleasant and welcoming! we had a long order and he took his time answering questions and gave recommendations when we asked. Came on a spring Saturday, it wasn't too crowded, it's got a huge yard space where you can host a big wedding, it was a cold rainy day, so everyone's inside, there's open pit fire by the outdoor seatings, there's limited food menu w chicken sandwich, burger and some vegetarian options, we opted for burger and fries, was abit disappointed that it was served cold, especially the bun, fries were not freshly prepared. I had a hot toddy w their house rye but had to send back due to too much lemon juice, old fashioned cocktail was overtly sweet, the bartender who made the cocktail were also ringing up everyone else, there were only 3 staffs in the front and I'm pretty sure the staff who made my drink is not a bartender/mixologist, if there's cocktail served on the menu, it should be prepared more balanced! Overall, it's a nice hangout place, esp in summer time, but they need to improve cocktails, i tried couple of beers as it's too sour too. read more

A super chill spot with good drinks and quality pub food. The property is spacious and pretty. Looks like a big music venue space and an outdoor bar as well, although when we visited neither were in use. There were families and couples spread out on picnic tables all over, eating and having fun. This is a great place for a casual meet with a large group. Ordering food happens at the bar inside and when your buzzer goes off you come back to pick it up. We had a fried chicken sandwich, a Bibb salad, fries, a pretzel, and wings. Everything was tasty and super high quality. There is no table service so you've got to bus you own plates and what not. We had a great time and would make this place a regular spot if we lived close by. read more

My mom and I went Arrowood on a beautiful, fall day. There is plenty of space in the lawn for families and large groups and a bunch of smaller tables close to the entrance. The staff was super nice and took everyone's order quickly despite how busy they were. We each had a beer and a sandwich (a tuna melt with crispy bacon and beet with goat cheese and arugula, both on sourdough). I will definitely be back! read more

Oatmeal stout is a favorite - very smooth and chocolatey, without the heaviness you often get. The double IPA is also not to be missed. Book lovers take note - their New Paltz "Outpost" location is behind and under Barner's Books on Church Street. Sadly they had sold out of their in-house distilled bourbon. We stopped by for dinner and drinks and to enjoy their awesome outdoor area! It was so nice to sit outside as the sun set and enjoy the dogs roaming around and chickens. You order food inside the tasting room or at the pavilion and they give you a buzzer for when it's ready. Unfortunately even though it didn't seem that busy, there was always a slow-moving line to order food and drinks. The food selection was OK but pretty basic. Drinks were better- they have a nice selection of spirits and beers. Somebody cleaning and clearing the picnic tables would have been nice too, nobody seemed to know what to do when they were done. I would recommend checking out Westwind Orchard across the street, too! read more

Where to begin? The atmosphere is wonderfully welcoming only to be rivaled by the offerings and Uber pleasant staff. The interior is cozy and rustic with terrific attention to detail reminiscent of vineyards we have visited In Sonoma. IPA's ordered were refreshing and flavorful along with menu items that were masterfully prepared and so delicious. Butterfly's abound in the gorgeous outdoor space and really added to the relaxed vibe. One and a half hours drive to and from was a small price to pay for our time spent and we look forward to returning, can only dream of the stunning scenery in the fall. read more

Came here while staying close to the area for headless horseman. When looking up things to do in the area of our hotel, arrowood farms was at the top of the list and for all the right reasons. This is a huge farm/brewery with great food, great beer and great spirits. They also sell glasses / bottles of wine. They have a little farm area in the back with some chickens and roosters. We had their fried chicken sandwiches here which were delicious and huge. Be prepared as it does come with a lot of crunchy skin on the exterior. We got some bottles of wine, some beers and some shots here. The staff was very friendly. It is kid and dog friendly and they also have live music which was great. Wonderful location, in the middle of the countryside, 25 minutes from Kingston, and 40 minutes from Poughkeepsie. The brewery offers a selection of 5 different brews on tap, varying from a stout-like to a Pilsner. The location is great for outdoor drinking and dining, playing corn hole or frisbee. The food selection ranges from papà braves to tacos. We tried a tasting of all their beers, with the honey ipa being my favorite one. For food, we only tried the papas bra as, which were mediocre and would not recommend. Finally, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this place and will certainly return for an escape from the city. read more

I didn't want to leave. Chickens roaming free, hops growing at the edges of the tasting space, super friendly staff. One bartender even went to get me a taster of something that was only available at the other bar, just because she thought I'd like it. Dog friendly and kid friendly too. When my then-fiancé and I were first looking for wedding venues last year, we knew that we wanted to get married in the Hudson Valley. We'd gone scouting a couple of times and had seen a handful, but as soon as we rolled into Arrowood--even before we tasted the excellent beers--we knew that it was the place. From the moment we went into the brewery and tried our first sip (the highly recommended porch beer) to the day we walked down the aisle (of hops), everyone at Arrowood was so helpful and kind. Luz, their events coordinator, is a pleasure to work with, pointing out things we never would have thought of and promptly responding to every email with answers to any questions we had. The owners, Blake and Jake, were also super accommodating of our requests--Jake was even one of the bartenders the night of. Throughout the planning process, everyone gave us confidence that the wedding would go off without a hitch, and when the day finally came in October, it was perfect. The deal you get using this property as a wedding venue is a great value not just because of the beautiful views and delicious brews, but because the people who make it all happen are of that same high quality. We can't recommend it enough. We're looking forward to enjoying many more years together, and many more beers at Arrowood. read more

I went to this place for my birthday weekend. I initially chose this place cause I saw they allow pets. I loved the atmosphere, lots of space, didn't feel crowded at all. Lots of tables. Even though I wasn't the biggest fan of the beer, I LOVED the vodka. The vodka was super smooth, and they had this drink called purple haze that was my favorite. Everyone else in my group found a drink they liked while we were here too! I will 100% be back when i'm back in the area. read more

What a great space to relax after a long day of hiking! Arrowood is set back in a cute little neighborhood. Very private. You're greeted by a field of sunflowers on your way in. The outdoor bar and seating area is huge - plenty of space to spread out. I could see this place getting packed on the weekends! Even though it's outdoor, there are plenty of covered spaces and tents. A few outdoor games and tons of space for kids to run around. The outdoor space is dog-friendly and we were happy to have our pup with us. The beer was super yummy (porch beer was my fave!) & the food was good as well.
