My husband loves finding the locals place and this is definitely it. We are in town visiting and he and a friend went Friday and he had the chicken melt with onion rings and lived it. So he had to take me Saturday. I loved the friendliness. We got fried pickles of which I love to try everywhere I go. They were sliced incredibly thin and cooked a little crispy, they were good. I got yankee fries which had brown gravy and big globs of white cheese. I could have done without the cheese. their ranch had good flavor. My husband got the fried shrimp, he said the shrimp didn't have a lot of flavor but were fine. Again I can't say how amazing the friendliness was and acting like we were all friends. Staff were super nice, we came when there wasn't a lot of people so they were talking with each other just felt super homey and like they actually enjoyed each others company and were a family built restaurant. The food was super SUPER good, we're visiting and are trying to test out every place and this is #1 by far! The food was really good but yesterday was my aunts birthday so we got the part room area. The Service was very bad first we ordered appetizers for my family and the server gave it to another family second it was very very hot in the closed off room and when we asked for water she gave it the other family members and not to any of the Asian family members. second she was very races to my family because we are Asians and that is not acceptable and for me I'm not putting money into a business that give customers duty looks. read more

DO NOT EAT HERE! We live here and have eaten here many times in years past. Right now this food is seriously HORRIBLE! I sent my meal back tonight and I never do that. It was inedible. So salty my mouth still burns. I had chicken fried steak and it was so under cooked. My salad was bitter greens. I took 2 bites of my salad. I also had cornbread. It was good. But I sent the meal back and I was very nice about it. She said do you want something else and I said no but I'm not going to pay for this -- its really bad. When I went to pay they had the nerve to charge me for the uneaten salad and charged me for the cornbread I took two bites of. The server was nice but the manager who checked me out and charged me was horrible and never told me sorry or anything. Last time we ever eat here. We arrived as soon as they opened. It is a small town comfy decor and the waitress was fun and engaging. She laughed with us and it was fun to have a warm welcome. I love this restaurant, which is really more like a diner. It is comfortable and the staff are so friendly. This place is always packed on Friday and Saturday nights. It is the place to be. The only reason I gave this 4 instead of 5 stars is because my man doesn't care for it as much. I think he has just been ordering the wrong things. I have heard they have the best loaded cheeseburger ever and I absolutely love the homemade country fried steak. It is so good. I do wish they had more vegetable choices like green beans, corn, cabbage, Brussels sprouts, Lima beans, glazed carrots.... Etc. They serve Prime Rib I believe on Fridays. They say it sells out quickly. I can't wait to try it. I am so glad this restaurant is here. It is such an asset. I just think you just have to find what you love there the most. read more

Popped in for lunch one weekend and found a family fun restaurant that delivers great food at a reasonable price. They were running a fried catfish special that day with a choice of side. I have to admit that it was a memorable meal. This is southern comfort food at its best. Our waitress was so friendly and nice. She was always there with a smile and ice tea refills. We used Arrow Cafe for catering for a corporate retreat over 3 days and it was absolutely some of the best catering I have ever had. Everything from working with the owner to payment and pick-up were incredibly friendly, prompt and very affordable. Would have rated it less but one star was the lowest. My husband and I came in for breakfast. Most of the rush was over and there was half the place empty. It took our waitress ten minutes just to get our drink order. After placing our order we watched as the staff stood around joking and horsing around. It took another 35minutes for the waitress to come over and say it was going to be another 10-15 minutes. We decided enough and got up to leave. I asked for a manager and when speaking to her our waitress came up and interrupted me staying they were in the middle of a rush. How can you be in the middle of a rush when everyone was eating or had left? They both were very rude and unapologetic for the way the staff were acting. Been here many times with great service and great food. Today took my mom for breakfast and we had a little blonde girl. We waited for a bit for coffee and I didn't see the sign that said employees only and I refilled our coffee, when she came to our table I told her I had gotten our coffee, she smarted off with "sign says employees only", I told her I didn't see the sign and I was sorry, she slapped our ticket on the table rolled her eyes and turned. I had to ask for coffee refill after that even tho she was just at the next table. She was very rude. Very much was not necessary. Food was still very good. Praying she has a better day! read more

The service was top notch with sweet and welcoming servers - just what you'd expect from a small town cafe. The waitress recommended their Messy Kettle Chips appetizer, and I am SO glad she did!! Never heard of bbq sauce tossed kettle chips, but goodness they were delicious! By the time we finished our entrees, bbq loaded fries and a bbq pork sandwich, we had no more room left for any dessert. They had quite a large selection of sweets to choose from with pies and cakes to milkshakes and floats. If you haven't tried this place, I highly recommend!! read more
