My husband needed his suit altered so we stopped in one afternoon. The owner greeted us warmly and after examining the garment, she said she could have it ready the following Friday. I was pleasantly surprised she could do the work so quickly. Amy is honest and will tell you what she can and cannot do. She did a beautiful job on my husband's suit. The total she charged was reasonable as well. We are appreciative of her kind, friendly and helpful demeanor and I know I will be dropping off any dry cleaning to her in the future. I noticed she advertises organic dry cleaning. I'm not sure what exactly that means but I like that they are committed to organic cleaning practices since dry cleaning can use some harsh chemicals. The dress was hemmed uneven- when I pointed it out- they told me it was my "eyes". The wool pants looked like pajamas. Crease was not even visible and they said that they can't use starch and I would have to pay more for a crease to be put in- what??? I had them lower the waist and hem the pants. I had asked for them to bring the crotch and leg width in. The older Asian woman just kept telling me "we did everything you ask" over and over. But they did not- $67 for the alterations to the pants! Insane. Also they charge $6 per pair of pants to dry clean. My husbands shirts are never pressed correctly. I have only put up with it this long because they are the closest cleaners to my home. But now I will never come back here again.

Their alterations are excellent and reasonably priced. I used to own a high-end womenswear company, so I know good tailoring when I see it. They've altered suits, coats, dresses, and pants--even worked on leather--and their craftsmanship has been flawless every single time. Some of these pieces were very expensive, and they handled them with care and expertise. They'll even will take up a sleeve at the shoulder instead of the sloppy way most alterations people do which is just cut it off and sew buttons back on. I can't recommend Redwood Cleaners highly enough.
