This place was terrible! Luckily I didn't put it with a capital t. First off the server acted like she didn't want to serve anyone I don't know if she was on meds or what bc we kept having to direct her what to do. Then if you want water it's in a cooler. What in thee world do they do that at and you get it in a red solo cup. Second, they ran out of certain foods. The tatter tot were cooked so tough I thought I was eating Lays potato chips. The food was yummy - not big portions but adequate. One of the servers was extremely helpful by helping us pair our food with a drink that suits our taste. There was another server who seemed bothered when asked for assistance - she forgot to give everyone their silverware when she placed everyone's order on the table. Then there was the busser who let us know that they were closing outside seating and started picking up drinks soon after letting everyone know about the time limit. I definitely felt rushed. What a wonderful local spot in Summerville, especially for a place so strangely devoid of breweries for a city/metro area of its size (no shade to Savannah River, which is fabulous). Lovely to find rare NEIPAs like Bissell Bros and Pipeworks, and service has always been fabulous. The make-your-own grilled cheese sandwiches are fabulous, and the tots are some of the best I've had. My only teeny tiny gripe is how expensive the beers can be... but when you're the only game in town (or at least one of a few), you can do that, I guess. Wow, absolutely the best loaded tater tots I have ever had! My boyfriend and I came here for our first ever date, and came again for our anniversary, and it was amazing both times. An excellent choice for an after church or class brunch (it's right across the street from both churches and campus!) I was most impressed by how well the balance of flavors works together- every ingredient contributes well to the overall dish without being overpowering. 10/10 would recommend! read more

Great selection of beers in a low key environment. Awesome place to meet up and socialize. Bartender is knowledgeable and very friendly - always has a good recommendation if you don't know what you want! Food is great, the loaded tots are a must-have and we usually share!!! I also like the pretzel bites (get the beer cheese!) with my beer. Closer to the weekend they have chef specials that are usually really good. I've gotten the spicy fried cheese curds and they're delectable, so are the fried avocados. They have a selection of fancy grilled cheese sammies and I usually get the Arsenal (turkey, havarti, bacon, pepper jelly). They used to have a bacon maple pound cake that's awesome...but looks like they stopped making it with COVID ... need to bring it back!! The food was amazing full of flavor and very tasty. The beer selection is outstanding with a lot of good selection. The waitresses were very nice. The bartender was OK seemed to not be able to necessarily handle a super busy restaurant. The atmosphere was really cool with a lot of great decor with the outdoor seating and the indoor seating. The only biggest thing that I did not like was the manager was in the way of the bartender waitresses and always in and pulling the bartender away from his duties or distracting him from his duties, which caused 5 to 10 minute wait to get the bartender's attention . We got food to go here. Ordering over the phone was a bit frustrating. The lady couldn't hear and they were out of Gouda? Or said they didn't have it, even though it's on the menu. Anyway, I opted for the perogies, sweet potato tots & a build your own grilled cheese on focaccia with white cheddar and bacon. My husband got the Philly. Everything was great, but it got a bit soggy by the time we got home sadly so I'd like to eat here in person next time. The sweet potato tots are dusted with cinnamon and have chunks of bacon. Great handout spot with lots of beer choices. You can build your own grilled cheese or order a fancy grilled cheese from their menus. I want with a plain grilled cheese aka the gov. Love going with friends and each ordering a differnt appetizer but some of our favorites are the pretzel bites with beer cheese and the fried avocados. Oh man! I love this place. It's quaint and friendly. Lots of locals gather there and they are really welcoming of anyone joining the fray. The staff is awesome and as helpful as you want them to be. The vibe is local and relaxed. Lots of beer...wow! Go onto Untappd and check out their current menu and don't forget about the ciders and meads. Also, they have a full bar and a very nice whiskey wall. I've had a couple of meals there. The sandwiches are no joke and quite tasty. I also had a secret menu item that was delicious, but I swore to not share what it was. Come in, belly up, grab a community table or hang out on the patio. The food was amazing the drinks are delicious from the mixed drinks to the specialty beer. We came here for my brother's birthday. We tried the blackberry mojito... the garnish is necessary since they don't particularly muddle the mint and berries but once you do it yourself the drink woke up. We also tried the Tuscan sandwich and the Philly they were both AHHHHHH-MAZING! They were really fresh and good cuts of meat. We also had a build your own grilled cheese which was equally delicious but their special sandwich's are the star of the show. We also had pretzel bites they were ok. I'd get them again but they weren't anything special. We also had corn nuggets they were very good and I I liked the dip they came with which was surprise. Lastly we had loaded tots and loaded sweet potato tots hold the chili. The loaded sweet potato tots were delicious. The sweet with a little spice, cheese, and bacon was fantastic. The loaded tots were good but you've had loaded tots before and this was that with really fresh toppings but just regular good. The place is set up to be communal on the inside and the inside covered patio. I liked that they had a room with couches where you could relax with friends while having a beer. He wait staff was really friendly and nice but our waitress was slow to check on us. Not sure if it's because it's not meant to be a restaurant but still I would have liked to be checked in on a little more. Overall, I'd come back for the vibe, the food, and the drinks. read more

Overpriced. They have great food, but charge you so much for everything. Even the individual sauces are like $2. Can of beer for like $15. You can tell the waitstaff are trying to stack up your bill too, casually suggesting additions that bring your check up substantially. I understand that they're near a wealthier neighborhood, but I felt a bit like I was getting mugged. Sandwiches was amazing. The pretzel portions were laughably small. Food was great - But they're also pulling pirate tactics. Arggghhh matey. Give me your wallet for a small cuplette of Dijon mustard. I have been here on several occasions and absolutely love the vibe of this taproom! They have comfortable sofa type lounge seating, bar seating, community table seating, barstool seating, and a beautiful, enclosed and heated outdoor patio seating. They have several beers on tap and in bottle/cans; all which you can view on the Untappd App! They also have a great wine list and full bar . Their food is also great. Today we shared the loaded tater tots (details of what is in the tots are described in picture attached) and they were crisp and perfect. Love the Chile and jalapeños that came with them. In past visits I have had their amazing seared ahi Tuna nachos with wonton chips (a chefs special), their fried pierogis and the arsenal grilled cheese which all have been delicious. I like this establishment so much that I came in to buy a gift card to give a friend of mine for Christmas! In the process they shared that they were offering an amazing deal on their gift cards for Christmas. if you buy a $50 gift card you get an additional $10 on that card or a separate card. We decided to use it for ourselves hence why we splurged on the loaded tots and couple of beers. They also are offering $20 gift card if you purchase $100 gift card. Amazing deals! Wanted to update my initial posting. The vibe is still great. They have several different seating option. You can sit outside, especially when the weather is nice. They also put out heaters when the weather is chilly. The inside has a lounge area with couches and the main dining has long wooden community table, plus bar seating. Tonight we had the loaded tots. All the tots I've had here so far have been great. They kick up all your childhood joys like tots and grill cheese and make them great and nostalgic. The beer and wine list is extensive. The beer menu can also be located on the untapped app. For beer lovers, you know what I'm talking about. They also have seasonal rotating menus so there is always something new on the menu. I would definitely recommend coming and enjoying the beer, wine, food and overall good time. read more

Who doesn't love grilled cheese?? Arsenal has a dozen different grilled cheese sandwiches to choose from ranging from your classic to ones with different meats and veggies and also unique ones with fried green tomatoes. Their tots are also spectacular. Their beers are about $7-$9 for 14 oz pours which is pricier than what I'm used to paying but they do have such a diverse selection of beers. We had a large party of 16 people plus a dog so we stayed outdoors next to their two heat lamps (totally necessary in 40 degree weather). The indoor seating consists of about 20 bar seats, a few armchairs and a long table that seats about another dozen. So be prepared if you have a large party. Dogs on leash are welcome in their outdoor area though! The Bullet: Great vegetarian option! The sautéed onions and mushrooms are amazing in grilled cheese. The Soprano: Tasty! My boyfriend said he wishes there was more meat in it though. The Master Chief: I loved the fried green tomato and pimento cheese combo! Fully loaded tots: Definitely enough to share. Best option is to get a couple things off the menu and share. The pretzel bites were extremely salty, scraped most of the salt off. I would recommend ordering with light salt or no salt at all. Wonderful place to actually be able to try. I came here yesterday after work and when I walked in, I was immediately greeted and sat at a table. It was so quiet and really not a soul in site. The hostess who greeted me was very polite, engaging and very pleasant to talk to and took my order rather quickly and the food came out just ask quickly. The Gov with tots I ordered really hit the spot especially when you had nothing to eat for most of the day. Their beer and wine menu is very interesting to read and to see where your taste lie so I'll be sure to try one of them next time I come back. :) read more

I hate to say it, but the service was very slow. Our waiter kept forgetting things and didn't even check on us after we got our food until I stopped him to ask for a box and the check. However, the food was delicious. First we had the pierogies, which came with an onion dill sauce. The pierogies seem to be straight from the frozen aisle of the grocery store and the onion dill sauce was basically French onion dip -- nevertheless, it was tasty. Then I had The Deliverance, which is a sandwich made with pulled pork, Mac and cheese, white cheddar and pickle with a side of bbq sauce. It was a show stopper. My partner got the smash burger and that was tasty and fresh too. But for the price you'd think the sandwiches and burgers would include tots or something on the side. We ordered tots separately with a side of beer cheese -- they were good but nothing special. I'd like to try sitting at a table outside next time, as the bar stools are not very comfortable. read more
