    Sandi and the amazing hamburger
    Dedria G.

My family and I have been going to the sports center since 2021. We've always enjoyed the atmosphere. The food was amazing always my son even had his 21st birthday there in the last three years has been hard on the family that manages the SportsCenter recently with the current loss of Miss Sandi my heart is broken. We will continue to go there and pray and support the family. Their food is always amazing.

Located on Broad Street. I recommend parking on the center island of Broad street for safety or go with a large group. Inside decor and vibe is definitely an Augusta landmark where many locals go for their hamburgers. The inside is definitely dated and needs cleaning, but for cheap beer and cheap hamburgers, you can't complain. This dive sports bar and restaurant is known for its $5 hamburger/cheeseburger. Wednesday night has cheap beer but is usually crowded and the food takes a long time to come out. Our server Amanda was kind and talkative on a slow night. I recommend the hamburger with everything on it. Make sure to ask for fries or onion rings with no salt, because they can be very salty. I also recommend the chili cheese fries. I will be back for the hamburgers, chili fries, and cheap beer on a Wednesday night.

Never disappoints! Another juicy, fresh and delicious cheeseburger with fries and onion rings. They were busy today (05/17/24), full house for lunch. YUMMY!!! I will say it again, BEST cheeseburger in town. Cash only FYI.

This place nails the "divey" in a divey bar. Dark, gloomy interior. Upholstery ripping off on the seats. Ketchup, salt, pepper, and a roll of paper towel on each table. Domestic beer only, except for blue moon. Love it! I wanted a no frills greasy cheeseburger cooked to perfection and that's exactly what I got. Onion rings are awesome as everyone else has said before me. Wash it all down with a cold coors light. Cheap, delicious food. Cheap, icy beer. What more could you possibly want? Make this divey bar a stop on everyone's trip thru Augusta. Cash only but there is an atm inside.

A Cheeseburger to Die For! 5 Stars!

Pre Ironman 70.3 Cheeseburger & Onion Rings at one of the best dives in Augusta .. and it was soooooo good! Handmade homemade solid burger! Onion Rings had a crisp, light coating that nailed perfection! Forget the atmosphere! There is none! Sat at the bar watching college football with some of the strange ones in town but had fun convo with the owner and the great staff! You want the best no bs burger in Augusta? This is it!

Cash only, old-skool dive bar vibes. Ice-cold beer and the burger was solid. A local's spot yet still welcoming to first-timers.

Parking was its usual Broad Street challenge, yet once inside there was plenty of space and an easygoing rhythm to the dining room. The only real hiccup was the slightly counterintuitive flow of things, since you order first and then find a seat, and I wasn't the only one who walked in and paused awkwardly until someone pointed out the process. I've said for a while that you should stick to what a place is named for, because ordering chicken wings at a pizza shop or a barbecue joint has burned me more than once, but tonight I ignored that rule and it turned out to be the right call. Mrs. K took down my side of fries with enthusiasm while I focused on the wings, meaty and generously sauced, the kind you finish without a second thought and then sit back with a local beer feeling like you made exactly the right choice. Every single one was worth it, no regrets at all, a small delight tucked inside a busy Augusta evening. I did see two of those massively stacked burgers get delivered to another table and while I was a little jealous, I know that having it without the bun wouldn't have honored it the way it should be. Maybe when I'm not on keto. [Review 228 of 2026 - 928 in Georgia - 25417 overall]

It was refreshing to see a top notch staff! Their menu offered something for everyone which worked out great for us since daughter is vegetarian. The restaurant was super clean, modern, and roomy! We enjoyed sushi, tacos, nachos, shrimp and grits (not on the printed menu but still offered) non alcoholic beer for the Hubs and a nich Marlbourough (sp?) sauvignon blanc wine for the girls. We were delighted to find a place without a dress code to have an early dinner and there were plenty of tables and we didn't need a reservation! My favorite dish we tried was the tempura battered fried olives! Wow! These were great! Flavorful, not greasy, and just a fun take on delicious olives!!!! They came with a house made ranch dressing dip. They were out of bleu cheese which I love, and I do think the blue cheese would have been even better as an olive dip.
