I was assured that they had cakes and that they could write on the cake. My sister and I took an Uber to the store and they had a cake available, but they told us it would be about 5 minutes before the person who did the writing arrived. We waited much longer than 5 minutes and the person who was supposed to do the writing NEVER arrived. We could see the staff texting and calling and finally one of the people working said that she was not good at it, but she offered to write on the cake for us. She didn't do a great job (all we wanted was "Happy Birthday" and my brother's name) but it was better than nothing, and my sister and I truly appreciated those that tried to assist us. My rating is based upon the horrible service by the person who was supposed to do the writing, and the fact that we paid $35 for a chocolate cake that was dry and not very good. I would not recommend this bakery, even with the great service we received from those who were working that day.

The seemingly all women team was cheerful, helpful, and delightful! The reviews were accurate. I asked first about their gf options and was offered at least a half dozen options. I settled on the buckeyes and petit fours. My gluten ingesting travel mates selected cinnamon roll cookies and the pecan cinnamon roll. The petit fours were my personal favorite, they were simply MARVELOUS! The cake was dense and moist and the frosting literally made me wish I had a whole cake! The buckeyes, the cinnamon roll and cookies also received honorable mention. All three were superb with a mug of black coffee! Do recommend that you heat the cinnamon roll if able prior to eating. Considering going back tomorrow for more petit fours!!

You can order special cakes and other sweets, of course. Since this is a small bakery, stock is limited. You'll never know what desserts are available until you walk in or call them. There's cookies, cupcakes, cake pops, cinnamon rolls, cookie sandwiches and macarons. Everything is homemade, fresh from the kitchen. They don't sell whole cakes or cake slices. But it wasn't until Sunday night that all the details came together. On Monday morning I began scheming, and by that afternoon, I had a few bakery shop options as finalists (thanks, Yelp!). Was it possible to order a custom cake or cupcakes on a Monday afternoon to be delivered on Tuesday evening? Yes, indeed! Stephen totally rose to the occasion, and was a dream with whom to work. He called me back within a few minutes of my initial voicemail inquiry and we discussed options - he could bake custom cupcakes within the time parameter, but not a cake. Done! He directed me to his website URL to select flavors, and from there I was able to easily fill out a form with my order request. Once sent, I had a few follow-up questions that we knocked out via email - including me second-guessing my initial request, asking for his suggestions/recommendation, and then changing my order. Once I was happy with the final decisions, he sent me a super quick & easy invoice to pay via Square. Easy as pie! Below is my order, along with a photo from Stephen of the final product. Note: before posting this - since I wasn't able to taste them myself - I confirmed with my friend that the cupcakes did, in fact, taste delicious.
