A friend of mine was set to have his birthday while on a business trip to Fort Worth, and I decided I wanted to surprise him in some way, given I know what it's like to have your birthday on the road. The tricky part was the fact that I couldn't ask my friend any details about his trip; instead I had to hope he'd somehow volunteer the information I needed to know - he did! But it wasn't until Sunday night that all the details came together. On Monday morning I began scheming, and by that afternoon, I had a few bakery shop options as finalists (thanks, Yelp!). Was it possible to order a custom cake or cupcakes on a Monday afternoon to be delivered on Tuesday evening? Yes, indeed! Stephen totally rose to the occasion, and was a dream with whom to work. He called me back within a few minutes of my initial voicemail inquiry and we discussed options - he could bake custom cupcakes within the time parameter, but not a cake. Done! He directed me to his website URL to select flavors, and from there I was able to easily fill out a form with my order request. Once sent, I had a few follow-up questions that we knocked out via email - including me second-guessing my initial request, asking for his suggestions/recommendation, and then changing my order. Once I was happy with the final decisions, he sent me a super quick & easy invoice to pay via Square. Easy as pie! Below is my order, along with a photo from Stephen of the final product. Note: before posting this - since I wasn't able to taste them myself - I confirmed with my friend that the cupcakes did, in fact, taste delicious. Also, he liked them so much - and they were such a hit at the office - that my friend even ordered a second batch today! One last thing to note is how flexible and accommodating Stephen was for both my friend and me in terms of delivery. Stephen's business is run out of his apartment which is a bit difficult to find. I went to a cupcake tasting and he was ready for me at the time we agreed upon. He watches you the whole time while you do the tasting lol which is kinda awkward. I ended up ordering 4 dozen cupcakes from Stephen for my daughter's baptism reception. I indicated that I was going to pick them up on the morning of the event. At 10am (the agreed upon time) I show up and Stephen comes to the door after a bit looking super bleary eyed. He doesn't remember me or have my order ready. In fact, he lost my order form and had to ask me what my order was on the spot. Luckily, I ordered a very minimal white design because otherwise there's no way it would have come out the way I wanted. He tells me to wait 10-15 minutes while he gets my order together. Basically I have to wait outside his apartment door in the sun in a random apartment complex for like 30 minutes while he throws my order together. He didn't apologize or offer me a discount for being so unprofessional. He told me that he had left my order form on the clipboard as a way of explanation for the poor service. Thank God I had made the pick up time much earlier than the Baptism so I had a buffer to account for all the wasted time. The cupcakes are okay at best and definitely weren't worth the price or hassle I went through. read more

Placed an order for pick up on Uber eats (order was accepted), arrived within specified pick up time was a little confused that it was an apartment but after looking it up on yelp it wasn't an issue. However after several attempts to contact them for my order all of my calls and messages went ignored/unanswered. Extremely annoyed at the fact that I drove all the way here (gas isn't cheap) and waited over 45 minutes and was unable to pick up my order. It is very unprofessional to list business hours that to not concur with actual operating times and accepting orders that go unfulfilled- had to reach out to Uber eats for a full refund since I received absolutely zero response from this business. Product might be good (based on other reviews) but not worth the level of unprofessionalism and headache... don't waste your time and money read more

Stephen is the kind of business owner anyone would want to work with. He managed to do the impossible for me. My boyfriend was in Arlington, Texas for a convention and it just so happened to fall on his birthday. We're in a long distance relationship so I was bummed knowing I couldn't be there for him. I thought it would be a nice surprise to have cupcakes dropped off at his hotel as a surprise but considering it was a Sunday, almost every bakery in the area was closed. I spoke with Stephen over the phone and he kindly and willingly helped out with this last minute endeavor. He was in constant communication with me and sent me a picture of the finished product. He literally went above and beyond and it really made me wish I was out in Texas to give him a hug. My boyfriend was super surprised and according to him and his colleagues the cupcakes were delicious. I ordered vanilla bean with cheesecake frosting and marble cake with peanut butter frosting. We used Stephen for our wedding this past weekend. We met with him weeks back, and he brought us mini-cupcake samples of my requested flavors (i was set on having a white wedding cake, and my fiance was set on chocolate for his grooms cake, so we only sampled those varieties). We ultimately went with "wedding cake" flavor for mine and "devils food for his. All of the ones we sampled were great though! For the grooms cake I wanted to do something different--my husband is big into Dungeons and Dragons, and I wanted his cake to reflect that---without having a ton of prior knowledge of the subject, Stephen was still able to give us a great looking cake! I gave him a sample dice to work with, and he actually worked with someone locally to have the dice made from dark chocolate--yum! We received many compliments on both the look and taste of his cakes. I would definitely use him again. Pricing was very affordable--much better than others I had checked out. He does offer cake stand rentals, and will offer discounts on those if you spend a certain amount on your order--I didn't use one for mine but really considered it (i thought my cake tables were a bit higher than what they ended up being). A two tone cake is not what we discussed and none of the cakes you sent pics of looked like the mess of a cake that you made for my daughter's birthday. The bow fell off the cake before the party even started. I am attaching pics of the cake that was made for my daughter's 21st birthday as well as the cupcakes. I also attaching a picture of what was sent. Please note in the picture the two different colors of icing and how sparse and porous the icing looks on the second tier. Horrible! This is NOT professionally decorated and the cupcakes are also badly decorated. Take a long look at these pictures because I spent 292.00$ on this order and he did a terrible job. The "21" on top also is a completely different color from the rest of the cake. I am so incredibly disappointed in this cake for the cost. I am extremely confused how this place is in business. I called to place an order for a custom cake on 10/22. Gave them my information, cake flavors, size of cake, etc. and I was told to text a picture of the cake to their phone number. I did that and received a text back that the cake would be $60. I said that was fine. I didn't hear back until 3 days later when I got a text that said "would you like to place this order" to which i responded "I thought I already had placed it." I received no response. I sent another text to confirm the order. Again no response. I called, and got ahold of someone finally and was told that he was working at his other job currently but my order was not placed and it wouldn't be placed until he sent me an invoice and I paid for the cake. He said he would get the invoice to me that night. Never heard from him. I texted again, and nothing. Finally I texted one final time that I would not like to place the order and would be going elsewhere and of course I have never heard back. I hired him to feed my 420 wedding guests and he gave me a beautiful 8 layered cake, that still tasted amazing at midnight (when I finally got a chance to have some). When my wife needed confetti cupcakes to celebrate a team member's birthday at work, I could not find anyone who would either a) answer the phone or b) make them. I gave him a lovely photo of the couple and he made a gorgeous 2-tiered cake with what I initially thought was a gilded picture frame with a photo of the couple.
