I went back to the bakery, and the lady fixed it for me. But after another 10 minutes, it started melting and sliding again. Horrible experience with this bakery. Spent $120 on what was suppose to be a very special cake for my house warming. I was getting ready all morning to have people over so my BF went to pick it up at 10am and when he got home and i saw it i started crying. I asked for a cake that looked exactly like the green cake in the photo (color, font, etc) but round and was told they could make it happen. I guess not because I received the other cake in the photo. Very disappointing. They did offer for me to bring it back for them to "try and fix" however my guests were about to arrive so now the only option is for me to return to the bakery and pick up a check for a 1/4 of the price i paid :). Ridiculous. If you have a "complicated cake" or something you are really really looking forward to and want it to be exact, do not go here because you won't get it. read more

Jenny's bakery did it AGAIN!! I cannot say enough great things about this bakery. I needed a graduation cake LAST minute (like day before!) and they were so sweet in accommodating me. I am forever thankful for their help. Not only was the cake adorable and exactly what I wanted, but EVERYONE at the grad party raved about how delicious it was...particularly the icing! A family friend recommended this place to me when my usual baker wasn't able to make my birthday cake last year. What a substitute! The cake was delicious and exactly what I asked for. Since I don't live near the bakery, I was able to place my order and put down a deposit over the phone. (I had tried one of their cakes at a birthday party prior to placing my order, and I knew that I liked their stuff, so my order wasn't 100% blind). I wasn't SUPER specific, I just wanted a nice almond cake with buttercream frosting with rosette swirls on top in colors that I like. If I could give this bakery 10 stars for service alone I would. I ordered macarons, petit fours, and cookies for my mother's birthday (she didn't want a traditional cake). The owner was extremely responsive and friendly over emails and phone. I am sadly unable to try all the goodies since I live out of town, but my mother said the macarons were so good she ate without realizing. I cannot recommend this local bakery enough for their great baked goods, and I am looking forward to trying them next time I am home from DC. read more

This lady can do pretty much anything you like when it comes to cakes and cookies. Her staff is very friendly, thorough and punctual. They are a little pricey but completely worth it!! I used this bakery for the first time to obtain a graduation cake for my youngest son. We used the online request to get a quote for 15 people. I selected a design from the gallery and requested some modifications in icing color and to have his school logo added. Response came immediately, quote was a little higher than I expected ($65 for a quarter sheet). Gave the go-ahead via email and had to call to put down 50% deposit. When we picked up- the service was very friendly and fast. They greeted me immediately and the clerk even rang me up while another customer was taking some time to make a selection so I didn't have to wait. Appearance wise, the cake was exactly as expected (we selected marble cake with choc filling and their buttercream icing) We served it the following day, and it was amazing! Everyone commented on how moist and delicious it was. Size of cake was appropriate for at least 20. Would definitely return for another special occasion. read more

THIS REVIEW IS LATE BUT VERY NECESSARY!!!!! I am HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED!!!! On February 23, 2021 I ordered my daughter's Sweet 16 cake with owner Jenny. On February 27, 2021 I went to pick up my daughter's Sweet 16 cake. Upon arriving there at 12 noon as requested, I had to wait an hour because the cake was not ready. The son stated that they were still working on it and would be ready in 15 min which turned out to be an hour. Because of COVID, I was sitting in my car and had to call them because I noticed that others were in and out picking up their cakes. Went in and saw the son boxing my cake through the kitchen opening. Before putting the lid on, he transferred the cake to the front counter and then put the lid on it. I had to ask to see the cake and the cake was not professionally done. Asked to speak with Jenny and explained that my cake did not look like a $100 cake and she argued with me that it was a $100 cake. The cake was actually $125 so she said she would take off $10 dollars. I still was not satisfied but it was the day of my daughter's Sweet 16 and too late to try to order another cake. I was highly upset but had no choice, did not want to ruin her day. Later that night my daughter end up cutting the cake just to find out was white on top and chocolate in the bottom(SHE IS ALLERGIC TO CHOCOLATE). She and friends tasted the white cake and said it was nasty so no one ate cake. Called the next day which is Sunday, daughter Nam answered and I explained that I was highly disappointed. She apologized and I told her I wanted my money back. Although they were closed, I went back and received a check for the exact amount. Nam never acknowledged her mom Jenny was at fault for unprofessional cake decorations although her mom Jenny is the one who decorated it, instead she blamed the bakers. EVERYTHING WAS WRONG WITH THIS CAKE: DECORATIONS, FLAVOR, and TASTE!!!!!!!! Then Nam offered for me to come back and order with her and assured me the cake would be good!!!!! I ASSURED HER THAT I WOULD NEVER EVER COME BACK THERE FOR ANYTHING!!!!! Although Nam never offered me anything, I wouldn't even want a FREE cake from there. The next day I called to speak with Jenny and I asked her about my cake, she stated with an attitude "Did you get your money back, I don't want to talk" and then hung up in my face. She was very rude and mad that I even got my money back even only one slice of the cake was eaten. She did not apologize it take accountability for ruining my cake. I wished I had went to HEB as I always do, never had a problem with them. HEB cakes are always delicious. Looking at all there decorations, I thought they would really make a nice cake.
