I have been a student of Grandmaster Hinkelbein for approximately 14 years. In the past I've trained in traditional Korean and Okinowan martial arts for several years and always enjoyed the training. However, when I came to train with Grandmaster Hinkelbein, an entire new world of martial arts opened up to me. The strike dynamics the blocking schemes, the throws and locks were new, innovative, and exciting, and remain so to this day. I am not your average martial arts student, as I am now in my 60's, with the typical injuries associated with a lifetime of strenuous physical activity, and would only push the limits of my physical capabilities in order to train with Grandmaster Hinkelbein, and Master Melissa. I cannot recommend this school or this program more highly, as it has changed my life in a spiritual as well as a physical manner. I joined Art Hinkelbein's Martial Arts Academy over three years ago with my wife. We had a phenomenal experience. You will learn the most effective self defense system by the most patient and caring instructors. They can accommodate all skill levels and challenge you physically and mentally.
