I can't say enough good things about this dance studio. The atmosphere is so positive and healthy for the kids. You don't have any of the typical "toxic" undertones that you often experience in the dance communty. The teachers are ready to encourage kids of every size, shape, age, and skill level to do their very best. Everything they do is just fun and uplifting, and recently their shows have become so creative and even more enjoyable to attend than before. The studio is reasonably priced as well, and totally worth the money. My daughter has been coming here on and off for 3 years now, and she has enjoyed all of the classes she's tried - Creative Ballet, Hippity Hop, Jazz 1, and Hip Hop 1. The owner (Ms. Monique), is so awesome and all the instructors (Sierra, John, Alicia, John, Kelly, Jayden & all), are so friendly, talented & so nice with the kids. Love Art in motion! Reasonably priced. Lauren is so great with with the dancers. We did hip hop class and my daughter loved it so much. Kept asking when we could go back. Theres plenty of seating inside. You can watch through the window. I believe the class was 45 min and they made sure to take enough water breaks. read more

This studio is very clean and in a great location- plenty of parking. However, is VERY small. With no time allotted between classes, people are often squeezed in shoulder-to-shoulder, forced to block the door, and have nowhere to sit while their children are practicing. There is no separation between the waiting area and the dance area. So, it is impossible to speak with anyone at the front desk because the dance music is playing in the same area. The instructors are very knowledgeable in the area of dance. But they could benefit from some training on how to communicate with small children. They're not exactly "kid-friendly". This studio is ok, not terrible. But with so many other option is close proximity, I would recommend shopping around. read more

My daughter has been with Art in Motion for many years, it has grown significantly since we started. Aside from that, the care and love put into this studio and the people that attend has done nothing but grow. My daughter loves her teachers. Sierra, who has taught my daughter in several classes, hip hop, jazz, lyrical, etc.. is not only talented, creative, and amazing at choreography... she is incredibly positive, upbeat, and connected to her students. Monique the owner of the studio, is a wonderful lady who is passionate about dance and truly cares about her students and their growth..with that being said, her enthusiasm and positive energy towards the students makes learning dance not only fun, but it creates a feeling of belonging and confidence that no other studio was able to reach with us... this is something that we value the most. Being part of this studio has played a big role in my daughters confidence and enjoyment of dance. I have watched my daughter grow in dance, and grow more confident with each passing year. She has learned where her strengths and weaknesses are through the guidance of her teachers and how to work on them, as well as the importance of team work and dedication with the performance group. There have been countless memorable experiences here and it is priceless to us. I couldn't say enough positive about Art in Motion and how very happy we are with being part of this studio. read more

As a former dancer, I am especially critical of dance studios and instruction. My daughter went to her first Storybook Ballet today with Nikki. It was an amazing experience. I was almost starting to cry with happiness. The kids are taught the correct terminology with the right amount of fun and play. Nikki is firm, kind and very attentive. It makes me want to dance again! My daughter was saying, "passé" all day !!! read more

I brought in my son to do a drop in class for hip hop. The girl at the front desk was nice and the studio was clean, however that is why they received 2 stars instead of just 1. I took my son in to meet the instructors, they were not inviting to him, they didn't make him feel welcome they said hi and then went back to their conversation. Right there i was a little shocked. The class started and for a new mom wanting to watch their child there were 2 seats where you could actually see into the studio, so not accommodating if you actually want to see your children dance. During the class i don't think any of the instructors smiled once (there for a paycheck only) had low energy and on top of that they kept spending most the entire 45 minute class chasing 2 children around that were misbehaving. We didn't get to stay the entire class because at about 8 minutes until the class was out, my son left and said he didn't like it. Well I'm not going to force him to stay, i didn't like it either and I'm an adult. On top of all this the prices were outrageous. This studio has negative vibes the instant you walk in from the crabby instructors, the dance moms, and the misbehaving kids. If you want somewhere for your child to have FUN then this is definitely not the place! read more

Love my yoga classes here! Instructors are gentle and watch students as we go, to prevent injuries. I enjoy the music choices, too...quiet and slow enough to help us with breathe with our movements. Appreciate the owner and her partner as well, and am glad they often join us:) read more

At first this was a pleasurable experience and I was so happy I found this place. Something happened where the regular teacher was not there for a while. The substitute was completely inappropriate with her approach. She was teaching the class how to flirt, wink, and blow kisses at the audience LIKE THEY WERE BOYS. This is not something I'm ready for my 7 year old to be practicing, let alone be taught this inappropriate overly sexual behavior. I thought that I would allow my daughter to participate in the recital, which by the way is how they teach dance. They teach no techniqueat all, they teach to a recital routine that they charge an atrocious amount for. However, I was sent a very rude text message by the front desk lady which was so unexpected and disrespectful. I was a couple DAYS overdue on December tuition because I was distracted by the holidays and a family emergency....and you would have thought I stole her first born. No invoice or gentle reminder of anykind! Overpriced, horrible customer service, and very poor teaching ability! read more

wonderful studio, the owner is really engage in the community, and she is very professional and very flexible. becky loves it here , this is her second studio and she made the competition team. the teachers are very professionals and the students respect them very much. my favorite things is that the students respect each other and even if there is "drama" they don't make anybody else feel bad. they really work as a group . very happy at art in motion. read more

I danced at Art In Motion for about 10 years. Within that time I gained confidence in myself along with wonderful friendships. There are wonderful teachers who are constantly taking classes in order to improve their own abilities so they may pass that knowledge on to their students. I assisted some teachers within my time as a student and am now proudly a teacher myself to some of the younger classes. Every year the performances get better and better. I am happy to say that Art In Motion has become my second home and would recommend taking a look at what our studio has to offer. read more

I had a friend mention to me that she was going to sign her 2 year old up for the Storybook Ballet class..so besides just warning her, I thought I would put a review of what my 2 year old went through in this class. The teacher that taught this class has NO BUSINESS teaching 2 year olds anything. All she knows how to do is be mean and mistreat young children. This class should not be advertised for 2-6 year olds but not know how to instruct a 2 year old how to follow along with the class. The teacher had my daughter last in line for everything and put her next to the other 2 year old in the class which she was watching her mess around so she followed suit. I told the instructor that for the next class, maybe instead of putting her last in line for everything (considering a 2 year olds attention span is NOT that of a 5 year old) and putting her next to the other youngest kid in the class..she should put her next to an older kid so she can follow their lead. The instructor literally responds with "the age difference is not much". Not sure if she was serious or just had a hard time taking criticism...get used to it lady...And if she actually thinks there is no real age difference between a toddler and a kindergartener, she needs to have her head examined. The only reason I gave 2 stars instead of 1 is because I did receive a refund for the terribly taught class that I feel awful for putting my daughter through. read more
