The instructors, Jeff and Cindy are so great! They are welcoming, encouraging, and professional. There are many regulars that attend the basics class as a warm up and then take the level 2 class an hour later. I have gone to 3 classes and plan on taking more in the future. I have also attended a members social that had food, drinks, music, and two hours of fun. Everyone that I have met at the classes are friendly and patient when I ask questions or get the moves wrong. I feel that I can only get better with practice and experience. There are other classes offered at the ballroom like Salsa,Tango, Country Two-Step,Country Swing and more! This is Northern Nevada's only nonprofit dance studio and they are doing everything they can to get everyone dancing. The research on partnership dancing and aging has been phenomenal! That alone should encourage everyone to dance! The Ballroom offers a free Dance With Me program for those who have cognitive and/or mobility issues such as Parkinson's or dementia. There is an afterschool program through Reno Housing Authority in underserved areas. There is also a program for young children! Last night was the annual fundraiser Gala for the studio and what fun we all had. What wonderful performances by all. And yes, I have the parent's permission to post the pictures of the youngest student to perform at the studio!

They will not answer the phones, they will not call you back, there's no email address provided to contact them electronically, and the message function on their website states in big bold capital letters "NOT AN ACCEPTABLE FORM OF CANCELLATION" which is actually hilariously obvious that they're just trying to inconvenience you. I moved away and had not been inside of this gym for 5 years and could not get them to stop charging my card. I left a dozen messages and could never get a call back, and could never find a way to contact them electronically. I finally called my bank and put a stop charge on them, and they sent me to collections because I didn't "send an acceptable form of cancellation". This is a shady business run by shady people, do NOT give them your money. I will be reporting them to the BBB as well. The gym itself was always somewhat dirty, with aging equipment. Picture any low-budget strip mall gym. Never go here

So surprised I went, SO GLAD I did…read more I was expecting a burlesque show. What got was more. The group did acts from the 20's to the present about an hour of time, with a short intermission. Loved the first two opening acts. They were great and I loved their choice in music. It was the old school vaudeville burlesque style. As acts continued we had clothing and music from the 60's, 70's and 80's. The final act had to be from the present since I didn't recognize the music. Each performer did a fantastic job at costume and music selection, as well as putting together the right theatrical dance. I enjoyed the old school feel of the show. I did miss a fan dance- a Sally Rand impersonation would have topped off the night. Right up front the audience was told how the troupe is about celebrating the woman- no matter their sexual orientation, color or size. Any ill manners are not tolerated and you will be removed promptly. It takes quite a bit of nerve to perform in front of so many strangers. If you ever see the name, catch the show.

Bell's singing was so beautiful and Geston was hilariously full of himself (how he should be)! All of the performers were so good (and I know a few were High School or younger which is very impressive). Vocals on point, costumes/props perfection, choreography awesome, and we had the best time. I can't imagine how much time it takes to put something like this together... the talent! I'm exited to see what other plays they will be doing down the road. My daughter was dancing around the house when we got home pretending to be one of the performers. (The best compliment is imitation right?!) Well done!!

The group did an incredible job in their presentation of this 1950's Broadway hit. Gamblers, gangsters, show girls and missionaries all collide in this comedic musical. The entire ensemble seemed perfectly casted. The over 100 costumes propelled you swiftly back to the mobster era of the late 20's. All the voices were strong and on mark. The dance scenes were full of energy. I enjoyed the simple set they created. It allowed for quick scene turnarounds. Performances at the Hawkins Amphitheater are wonderful. Set up on the natural hillside inside Bartley Ranch, you can enjoy outdoor shows in the Nevada evenings. Seating was good, easy line of vision to the stage, as we sat rows 4 and 5 with seats 1,2, & 3. Sound was great through the entire show. Seating was reserved pre sales. I do recommend bringing a cushion. The spacious metal seats can get a hard by the second act. Plenty of on property parking. Bring a flashlight to get back to your car. There are no lot lights. Why don't more residents enjoy our local theater groups. They are so affordable and simply do a fantastic job.

Two of our friends had taken lessons here for theirs and gave us a gift certificate for two 20 minute lessons here. When we came for our first lesson, we were greeted enthusiastically by Corina and Aiden. They were very professional and fun. And at the end, they sit down with you to give feedback as well. We enjoyed our mini lesson but the only thing that kept us from coming back for the rest of our lessons is the cost of their packages. They were double our budget. If you have time for group classes and are here just to dance - then the packages might not be too unreasonable but since we only needed some guidance for an event, we couldn't justify spending a few hundred for a couple lessons.

There's a short 15 minute intermission to grab more cocktails for the second half. The show could have been longer, and I'd still be entertained. "Nocturnal" is definitely a show worth seeing when in Reno! If you want something "kid-friendly" they have earlier shows called "That's Magic". I would watch "Nocturnal" again!

Every night, they host "that's magic", which is a family, friendly illusion, and variety show, and then also on Friday and Saturday, they host their late show "nocturnal", which also has amazing illusions, as well as more adult humor, and some very beautiful dancers. Both are hosted by the husband and wife, duo of Chase and. Kayleigh. I saw the "nocturnal" show, and I loved it. . Chase is the MC, and he also does illusions from slieight of hand, to illusions such as cutting a woman from the audience in half without a box, and a great straitjacket, escape, ala, Harry Houdini. The jokes are fast and furious, and definitely adult oriented, there is a lot of interaction with the audience, and bringing audience members on stage. There's never a dull moment. The dancers are beautiful, and yes, a little provocative, but definitely not dirty. The show never slows down. It's a 90 minute show with a 15 minute intermission, and it's entertaining from the beginning until the end. The price for the show is very reasonable, but they get you with both the cocktails, and the snack bar for the theater. I bought a small thing of popcorn, and a 20 ounce soda, and I was out 16 bucks. That's a bit ridiculous. Other than that, the show was amazing. Thank you for a fantastic evening....
