Steer clear of any used car purchases at this dealership. My sales person was Scott, he sold me a 2013 Buick Encore with multiple electrical problems and engine lights on. The problems started day one. The dealership mechanics reset the engine light instead of replacing an O2 sensor twice within 2 weeks of purchase. After that Scott was not interested in even trying. Called and got an appointment next day. Most dealers in the area couldn't get me in for a diagnosis for 2/3 days and one told me over a week. They diagnosed and took care of a broken water pump and I was in and out with my truck same day. The gentlemen in the service area were incredibly kind and easy to talk to. My daughter bought a car from them and when she went to sell it the car she bought as new was listed in CarFacts as damaged. Salesman told her it was new, and she believed it was. Selling the car may have been more profitable if the car was never damaged. Dealer claims what they did was ok per contract. Maybe not right, but when was is being shoved paper after paper to buy a car the dealers idea seems to be to keep one from reading the contract. My experience with this dealer many years ago was the same. I bought a car as new and when I had an oil change the place pointed out to me that there was paint overspray where it had been repaired. Not sure if selling cars that were in collision is a policy or just unlucky between me 25 years ago and my daughter now (2922). We will never return to Art Moron. read more

Extremely disappointed! I come in for a tire repair or replacement and oil change, but they don't repair or replace the tire. It has a donut on it. Even if the service rep did not hear me the technician should have mentioned it to the service rep and had the service rep confirm if I wanted the tire repaired or replaced. Totally unprofessional service department. Just leave keys on a desk unattended right by the door too. I should of been handed my keys when I paid. Anyone could have taken car keys and went for a joy ride. Common sense people. Will definitely be checking to see if they changed the oil. And this is my first time here. I went there not too long ago to get a quote for a lease. The guy was looking me down like I was an alien from an outer space. I'm by no mean a snowflake but this is a business-client relationship and If they can't conduct themselves accordingly then he should work somewhere else. I wasn't rude or pushy at all. I have emailed GMC expressing my frustration with dishonest dealerships and their dirty tactics just to get you into the doors. I needed to stop and let everyone know how impressed with the quality of the work and extra mile that the body shop went to here. My truck had front end damage due to an accident, so not only was it fixed in record time, but it was quality work the very first time. It was the easiest repair I have ever experienced for something like this. Additionally, I was surprised that my truck looked brand new as it had beed washed, the tires were polished, and the inside had been touched up. This kind of attention is rare these days, so I highly recommend the body shop, Mr. Kocan, and all who worked on my vehicle. read more

The worst service department in MI. Was ripped off on a car that should've been totaled, then I had at least 10 different services performed while under warranty and let's just say none of them lasted over a year which they only warrantee them 90 days so your poop out of luck. I know that dealers are overpriced but this place is ridiculous and if you can ever even get a hold of them to actually work on your car don't have them do it even under warranty. I had the same issue five times in a row that just seems so hard for them to fix but there is a dealer so it should be easy but they can't fix it. Basically, my car has so many issues and I've received so many BS stories from them that I wouldn't take it there if all the repairs were free. Then I had so many Buick rewards points but of course they stop taking them so that was a really good feeling knowing that after you spend a meant almost as much as a car there you're basically screwed and you can't use any of their rewards points. I am actually sitting in a hot car right now because the replacement of a part last year has already broken. Avoid this place like the plague unless you want to constantly have issues with your car. read more

My Dad has always been extremely loyal to his dealership (I won't say which nameplate and type of car). I never understood it. Even when he liked some other makes and models, he would still go to his dealership. Now, after going to Art Moran, I understand. If I live to be 70 (I'm 43, now), I'll buy (or lease) probably 6 more cars before I die, right? My wife (same age as me, though she'll tell you she's 39 forever) will probably do the same. I have three kids rapidly approaching their 16th birthday, and if I have the means, I'll probably lease them a car for h.s. and college. So, that's about 15 cars in my future. The car buying experience isn't always easy. But Art Moran and his entire staff make me WANT to buy from them. Nice. Fair. Relaxed. They make everything easy. They have a motto ..."whatever it takes" and it isn't just a clever catch phrase. I thought my trade-in might be worth a cup of soup, but I said I needed it to be worth a certain amount, and they gave me exactly that. Then, after the sale, I got the nicest two thermal coffee mugs. And then a dish full of candy. WHAT? I bought a GMC Terrain, and then a Buick Regal. It ain't like I bought a Yukon XL or high-end Rendezvous. The Terrain was my first car, but when I bought it in 2013, I was hemming and hawing between the Terrain and the Regal. The owner and my sales guy never forgot that and when my lease was nearing its end, they kept good notes and remembered and told me that had a black with black leather Regal for me if I would consider it, and I did. It's little details like that I can't ignore. A car is a car, for the most part. Four wheel and an engine that get me to work and back. I happen to really like the size, interior noise, and look of the Regal. But a dealership that calls you back, gives you a good deal, and treats you (and your wife) like a regular person making a big decision - that matters. This review is long enough. I have two other stories about them doing "whatever it takes" and I hope you'll just trust me ...you'll love the dealership and with all the Buicks and GMCs, you will find a car you love, too. read more

Traded in my Dodge Caliber for the purchase of a new Buick Verano in June. Dealership bent over backwards to make the pricing work for us and to get us into a vehicle with a limited down-payment. Everyone was very friendly. Reason for the absent star is that we waited a LONG time when we were actually picking up the car. Salesguy, Trevelle, who was great and very nice, overbooked himself and we ended up waiting over an hour and a half in the lobby. It was frustrating but I have to mention that about a million people asked us if we'd been helped and we weren't ignored. Manager made it right and gave us a gift card to dinner because we had to wait so long. Other than the long wait time, I have no complaints. Everyone was really nice and considerate. I haven't had the car serviced yet, but I have a feeling they will be very accommodating. read more

Just want to say that this place is amazing! The salespeople are honest, friendly, and respectful. I came in here two weeks ago to get a new lease - my first, actually. It wasn't the first dealership I've visited, but I have a feeling it might be the one I stick with for a very long time. I just loved it there! I was with my mom and I do look very young (I'm 24), but I was really happy with the way they spoke to ME about my options, not my mother- which was good, because it was going to be my money spent, haha. I noticed this explicitly because at a different dealership, I was annoyed that a guy had simply spoken over me and talked to my parents as if I wasn't there. Not so at Art Moran, which was AWESOME! Sheldon Weisman, a very kind salesman, came and greeted me almost right away and was patient and attentive. He was very respectful and friendly. Since it was my first lease, I did have quite a few questions so it was really amazing how much information I got from Sheldon without feeling overwhelmed. He was so clear and direct about everything. Plus, no surprises or swindling. I left with all of the information feeling great and went home to make my decision, when I realized I had only been in there for 45 minutes. Whoa, SUPER FAST. I might also add that he (well, and the whole dealership) got me an amazing payment on a 2017 GMC Terrain that nowhere else could match. Anyway, I gave Sheldon a call with my decision on a Friday night and picked up the car the following Monday. Signing also took less time than I expected (I've heard of people waiting hours and hours). Again, they were fast. Then Sheldon walked me out to my new car and showed me exactly how to use and setup all of the features, which was really above and beyond. I've been driving my new lease for a couple weeks now and the excitement from the new car has worn off a bit into contentment. But tbh it's my experience with Art Moran that still has me feeling extremely happy. I would recommend this place to anyone, regardless of age, gender, race, etc. because they treat you like a future friend and actual human being, not like a sack of money as some other places do lol. I was nervous that I would get taken advantage of while shopping for a lease, seeing as how I'm a young woman, but that was not the case at Art Moran. 10/10 would recommend to everyone I know. read more

Terrible, disrespectful service manager and staff. I am a 70 year old, recently retired woman and my husband is almost 80. We took our car in for warranty work- to fix a leak ( 1 inch of water on the passenger side floor - due to leaky seals in the windshield). It took 2 weeks to get my car back and when I did pick it up: not only was my recently detailed interior filthy, the outside had grease and suction cup marks, glue and scratches. Someone obviously tried to pry the windshield out (chipping and marking the paint), the seal was not closed tightly, there was a piece that was loosened from the bottom, etc. It was awful!!! My son called the service dept. and was told we should bring it in. Which we did. They made us wait for about 1/2 an hour to talk to the service manager (even though they weren't busy) When he finally appeared, he was very condescending as my son pointed out all the issues. This angered my son, as he was trying to make sure that his Mom and Dad weren't being taken advantage of because of our age. When I spoke to the service manager: he implied that I was lying and even laughed at me when I started to get upset. I asked to speak to his boss....he disappeared and didn't come back out. We finally left, as my son was getting very upset about how the service manager treated me. In all my years of dealing with car dealerships, I have never been treated this badly. Excellent service from Kevin Huff in the sales department. He was not only able to get us the car that we wanted but also got us a great price (rare options and rare color, apparently there were only three of them in a 300 mile radius). He let us do an extended test drive for as long as needed to make sure it was what we really wanted. I would definitely be back. Unlike most dealerships they also offered a reasonable fair price for our trade in but I still sold it myself for more. Everything went really well from start to finish. The manager here is nice but I wouldn't recommend this place to family or friends. Burt was my sales guy. He was very short and unhelpful when asking about their vehicles. I decided on one and asked if we could negotiate the price at all and he said nope but if you want it here's my card, good luck with your search. I called another dealer who had the exact same year, make and model with 12,000 less miles. Right away they said if I came and looked at it they would take $900 off, making the SUV well under $1000 less of the one Burt had with 12,000 more miles. I was so annoyed I went back in and asked for the manager. I didn't want to have to drive to the other dealer over 30 minutes away. The manager matched the other price. Its still not as good of a deal as the other but I was done looking around so I took it. I have over a 700 credit score and the finance company they use seemed to be on the higher end as well. I never experience inappropriate behavior/sexual harassment like I did at Art Moran Buick GMC. The guy who sold me my car, Norman Graves was very inappropriate as I came for an oil change back in July. He made sexual references and made me feel extremely uncomfortable. He would flirt with me whenever I came in and I would shut them down and tell him to continue to flirt with my mom because he was closer to her age. He finally took it too far and I told my father after I left, he called the dealership and the general manager pretty much dismissed it which caused my dad to go up there. Their HR manager said she would be suspending him (I don't know if it happened), he called my cell phone the next day and I let the dealership know. After a little while they did nothing so my dad called GMC and they dismissed it as well. I am leaving a bad review because NO ONE should feel uncomfortable while getting their car serviced, especially after telling someone to stop. Inappropriate behavior like that should not be done while in a professional setting and I wanted to warn others of the way they operate here at Art Moran. read more

My sells-man was Johnnie Wright. Mr. Wright was very professional, kind and concerned with my needs when he began to look for the vehicle that was right for me. Mr. Wright also offered me top dollar on my trade in, giving me $100 more then what I requested. When I buy another vehicle from Art Moran, I will come back to Johnnie Wright. BAD EXPERIENCE: a person name Jerry, would be the reason I never return to Art Moran again. He is in charge of the finance department and warrantys. First: Jerry tried to tell me that a certified GM vehicle only comes with a 6 month 6,000 mile warranty. I had to tell him it was 12 / 12,000. Then he tried to sell me a 5 year warranty that runs concurrent with the 12 mo /12,000 mile certified warranty. I bought my wife's Traverse from Serra/Southfield and my warranty there started after the certified 12 / 12,000, So I told Jerry I will be going back to Serra for my warranty. If it wasn't for my contact with Jerry, I would have rated Art Moran Excellent. Thank you Mr. Johnnie Wright. read more

This place deserves to be shutdown and investigated by the state of Michigan. Not only do they knowingly sell you overpriced dangerous lemons but the lack respect and common courtesy. Bought 2010 GMC Acadia supposedly under 30000 miles with one owner after the auto I initially choose a 2013 GMC Acadia was supposedly involved in accident. That was the first week of August 2016 by the first day of November 2016 engine completely went out Art Moran blamed us! Refused to cover under ANY warranties finance company got involved long story short it was to be repaired under 6000 loan in addition to car note. By March of 2017 engine not only failed again but caught fire with me in the auto, Art Moran repairs engine again. I inquire again about engine mounts not seeming correct, Art Moran ensures no problems just get consistent oil changes and maintain auto. reduced engine power starts auto becomes undriveable. Needless to say here we are again engine mounts have broken engine is titled that causes broken front axle in three places and nothing from Art Moran. Save your time money and life. read more

Never had anything less than a great experience at the dealership. When I bought my 2014 Terrain I called on a Thursday morning and told them what I was currently driving and what I wanted in a vehicle and I'd be in after work and planned to drive home in a new vehicle. They called me multiple times during the day and by the time I got there, they were ready. Met every single one of my expectations, even the unreasonable ones. Their follow-up has been incredible. Maybe it's just my particular sales guy (Trevelle), but the guy actually called and wished me a happy 1-year anniversary on my Terrain. I know ...it's an automated reminder on his computer, but it was impressive. Recently I brought in my Terrain for service because the windshield was making some odd noises (assuming two harsh winters had some effect on a seal) and they took care of me with a loaner car and thoroughly examined my car and found the problem. Called me a dozen times to update me (more than necessary), but definitely appreciated. I hope my wife likes something in the Buick or GMC line of cars because I want her next car to be from Art Moran. My next car DEFINITELY will be. read more

The dealership personnel were okay. Some reasonably helpful, some pushy, one lied. My direct sales person was okay. But he must have told me directly and through email and direct snail mail 5+ times"when you get the survey, answer completely sastified." The survey did not delineate between different dealership personnel. I answered each question honestly. Some items satisfied, some not. Today I received a business card in the mail from the sales guy with an incredibly rude comment. I really like the GM Buick line of cars.. Do not take your car here. I took my car in for service about a recall and while I was there the gentleman from service suggested letting his body shop give me a quote on some damage that had just been done to the vehicle. I let them look at it they gave me a quote, then the insurance company looked at it and the body shop came back with a higher quote. I asked the body shop guy I was dealing with if they would give me a break on the price and he said he would speak to his manager and get back to me this was on a Friday I never heard back from him so first thing Monday morning I called to let him know I would be picking up my car and they said they weren't finished, I said what do you mean finished? They had already started working on it without me giving them authorization or agreeing to anything. I went there demanded my car back and the body shop manager Felix Quintanilla said that they can't release it because it's a liability because there is no bumper or tail lights on the back. I told them to put my old ones back on and he said they can't he walked away and left us standing there for 35 mins. The guy in service who helped when we 1st came in walked over to see what was going on when I told him he went looking for Felix, but couldn't find him he then called him and couldn't reach him. This is ridiculous they are trying to push me into something I never authorized them to do. Very sneaky and unprofessional, DO NOT GIVE ART MORAN YOUR BUSINESS. read more
