Disappointed and financially burdened with my 2021 Nissan Sentra. I purchased it brand new in 2021. I thought the dealership treated me very well but, unbeknownst to me, there is an ongoing problem with tie rods on this particular 2021 model. The recall is brand new, and currently "there is no remedy". I paid over $1,000 out of pocket a few months ago to address the ongoing problem. It was a financial burden for me, directly due to Nissan's faulty product. The sad thing is, the problem continues with the car and, currently, there is no remedy. The car clunks and rattles (I know it's related to this unresolved problem). So, I continue to drive the car - as I have to - and make payments on it. It seems so unfair. read more

If you need to get service from their service department, beware! I found this out the hard way this morning. I made an appointment for 8am today (Friday) and arrived on time. I explained the problem to the friendly technician and he asked if I was going to leave the car until they could look at it and run diagnostics. I said I could as I'd be up the street getting breakfast at a local restaurant. Confused, he said no, they wouldn't be able to get to it for about 4-5 business days. I asked what they would do today during my appointment and he said they would do nothing, not even running any diagnostics. He explained that I needed to leave the car until they got around to looking at it. I asked if I could just make another appointment for 4-5 business days out, or they could contact me the day before they're ready, and inquired why I needed to leave the car. Adamant on having the car, he said that their new policy is to have the car in their possession until they can work on it --- and if I drove home today and brought the car back, they would start the process over and put me at the end of the line, requiring that I leave the car from that point in time until they could look at it. He suggested that my best option was to just leave the car and find my way home at my own expense and wait until they notify me what they found when they FINALLY got around to doing the diagnostics. Getting really irate at the time, I decided to leave, as I was clearly not getting anywhere with him. Not only that, this is my only car and I don't have the luxury of being without it for 5 days. I drove to another Nissan dealership in the area and made an appointment for three days out. I explained the situation at Tamaroff and the service technician just rolled his eyes and said that Tamaroff has some serious problems. I then got home and called Nissan US Customer Relations to ask them what to do ... they were VERY concerned about this story and, at their suggestion, opened a complaint ticket and will be investigating how Tamaroff is now treating their customers. Keep in mind people, there are other Nissan dealerships in the area...with VASTLY different experiences in customer service. read more

Tamaroff is the worst car dealership ever. After an oil change from a quick lube place, I reset my oil change due by going into "settings," "maintenance," "oil and filter," "reset." The oil change light still came up. I e-mailed Jeffrey Nissan, the president of Tamaroff Nissan. Tracie McDonnell with Tamaroff responded. Tracie refused to tell me how to reset it even though I bought the brand new vehicle, 2021 Nissan Rogue, from Tamaroff. She didn't offer to schedule a service or anything. She rudely ignored my last e-mail to her. I guess Tamaroff doesn't stand behind its vehicles. Without Tracie's help, I made a service appointment with Tamaroff myself. I drove a half hour round trip just for the service employee to resolve the issue in two seconds. You have to reset it in a second spot by going to "settings," "oil control system," "reset." Why Tamaroff couldn't tell me that via e-mail, I don't know. Tamaroff owes me a gas card or something for wasting much of my time and my gas. After that, I e-mailed Eric Frehsee, the vice president, but again was ignored. I am going to file complaints with consumer agencies until I get a gas card. I will never purchase from Tamaroff again and caution others before thinking about going to Tamaroff for anything. read more

Came in to hopefully resolve a long time issue and no luck. Ironically, person who worked with me initially on this lease doesn't work at this location anymore. So I spoke with Mike (supervisor) Mike simply looked at me and said if I'm having issues with my lease I can contact Nissan because the person who screwed me over doesn't work there anymore. The most unprofessional response I have ever gotten. There were two sales reps on the floor and honestly they were not presentable as representatives you first meet when walking into a Nissan dealership. This location is beyond disappointing and if Nissan supports this type of activity in their facilities, I will have to sell my cars and never deal with the brand again. I always have an issue buying a car. I generally like to shop around, but I always feel that 'salesman' pressure to buy. I'm always nervous about negotiating my trade-in value as well as the bottom line price of the new car. I didn't experience any of these things while shopping at Tamaroff. I wanted a newer, used car that had relatively low miles and was backed by a factory warranty. The car had to meet the requirements of my family life as well as fit within my budget. I started with True Car as their app made it easy to search local dealerships for what I wanted. The app led me to Tamaroff. I clicked on the "I'm interested" banner and I was contacted pretty quickly. I set up a test drive and received my certificate for a 'no-haggle discount' offered through True Car by the dealership. I made my way to the dealership to test drive the vehicle. Matt Carter was the man who met my family and I with a smile. He made the process very simple. I laid out my plan for the day, which relieved the pressure to buy the vehicle. I stated that I wanted to look at it, see if I like it and I did not want to commit to the purchase. He understood and we moved forward with a mutual understanding. Needless to say my wife and I liked what we saw. The vehicle was well taken care of and it was inspected by the dealership. I was very comfortable making the purchase due to the fact that I felt like Matt and the dealership had my back if anything came up. Buying a used vehicle at this location was a very pleasant experience. I got everything I wanted in a vehicle. I got a factory warranty. I got a no haggle discount (through True Car). I got what I thought I would get for my trade-in. The purchase went smoothly. Matt was awesome with my kid. I drove home in a new car. Came out to look at the Versa and had a great experience. Our sales rep was really nice, informative and actually funny. They gave us a great trade in value on our car. Although we were just looking at the time we decided to get an appraisal of our trade in to better assist us in our buying decision. I hate when sales people follow you around and you just want to look yourself. We told him, we just wanted to look outside ourselves and then when we come back in we will find you. I stopped in earlier this summer, because I was interested in a Murano Platinum. Most of the other dealers still had 2015 models, and Tamaroff was the only dealer around that a had a 2016 in the color and options I wanted. They didn't seem overly busy at the time, but most of the salespeople appeared to be engaged with other things. One of the guys with an office (I'm guessing the sales manager) ended up helping me, and seemed a little put out by it. It wasn't until the actual test drive that things went south. First, he wanted to go with me, which seemed a bit excessive relative to most of the other dealers I had visited. That wasn't too bad, but he ended up choosing my route, telling me where to go like a driving instructor. It was shortly after rush hour, so I was given the chance to drive it in stop-and-go traffic up to Northwestern, down 12 Mile, and back to the dealership. Basically: around the block. I might have been more understanding if I was a much younger driver (I'm 40) showed up in a really old beater (it was a 3 year-old Charger R/T AWD), or if there were any complexities or features worth pointing out along the drive. It really felt more like I had to prove to Dad that I wasn't going to wreck the car before taking it out on date night. Except, I never got to take it out on date night. read more

My wife's lease was coming due, and so we did some research and test drove a few cars. She had a 2017 Nissan Murano, which she really enjoyed, and so we ended up back at Tamaroff Nissan (where we got the original lease from), our sales person this time, John Ashcraft, was AWESOME! He took the time to answer all of our questions, and even though we didn't buy the car that day, he wasn't pushy or snide in any way, just offered his assistance to answer any other questions we might have and to please reach out to him if needed. After test driving a few more vehicles, my wife decided to get the new 2020 Nissan Murano, and so we called John and he had the vehicle ready to go the date and time we needed. When we went to pick up the car, the process was very smooth. Don the finance manager and Mike the sales manager were both welcoming and kind, and answered a few questions we had regarding the paper work. John spent extra time and care in explaining all of the technology and upgraded safety features for my wife's new Murano, and we left very pleased. If I could go lower than 1 star I would. I received a civil infraction in the mail for my "traded" in car that I turned over to Tamaroff for it being parked with a for sale sign. The infraction was exactly 7 days after I traded it in. When I called Tamaroff about it, they have said that it is not their responsibility - apparently someone bought it in that time frame, and it was that person's responsibility.The title WAS STILL IN MY NAME!!!!
