I really wanted to like this salon because everyone was kind when I arrived, but unfortunately my experience went downhill as the appointment progressed. Johnnie cut my cuticles far too deeply, causing multiple fingers to bleed. It was painful, but I stayed quiet and hoped the rest of the appointment would go more smoothly. I requested almond-shaped acrylic nails, but one thumbnail ended up much shorter than the rest, lopsided, and square instead of almond-shaped. Even the woman sitting next to me commented that it looked different. When I pointed it out, Johnnie seemed annoyed and instead of fixing the one nail, he filed my other thumbnail down to match it. I told him twice that I didn't like what he was doing, but he kept filing until both thumbnails were short, stubby, and square. The manager, Chloe, came over and said the only solution was to remove the acrylic and apply new tips. During the removal, Johnnie used the e-file so aggressively that both of my nail beds were burning and had to be soaked in acetone for relief. I was visibly upset but just wanted the appointment to be over. To make matters worse, the finger he cut has been swollen ever since my appointment. When I checked out, I expected at least an apology or some type of discount after everything that happened. Instead, I was charged the full $65, plus the 3% credit card fee for using Apple Pay. Mistakes happen, but how they're handled matters. I left with bleeding fingers, a swollen finger, burned nail beds, and nails that had to be redone because of avoidable mistakes--all while paying full price. This experience was simply not worth $67.

It had been 2 months too long that i had neglected myself in terms of self-care. So I decided to finally get a mani / pedi from a local salon called Art Nails & Spa. Art Nails & Spa is a local nail salon that offers manicures , pedicures and waxing. They are located in the Plaza Del Oro Shopping Center that is just south of the 76 Hwy, off of Frazee Rd. Also in this plaza is a 24 HR Fitness & a CVS. Although Art Nails & Spa does accept Walk-ins, for the best service and the least waiting time, it is highly recommended that you Call-in and make a scheduled appointment. There are times when they only have 1 or 2 clients and times when it is entirely packed. Another nice feature that they have is a rewards program. Simply check-in at the counter with your phone number and they log your visit with points. Earn points and over time, you can get Free services. Their interior is organized and clean. I love that they have tvs playing satisfying "foodie channels" playing soothing music for entertainment. But just like any salon, the customer service is friendly, inviting, caring & warm. Make your appointment, have a seat, select a service plan, enjoy a beverage (cocktails & coffee available) and be treated to a delightful time, by staff that caters to your needs. I chose a service that included a foot soak, leg massage, massage chair rubdown, sugar scrub, collagen foot mask, filing, trimming, adjusting, painting and of course, adding gel. This package also included a citrus rub, sea salt exfoliation, hot stones rub and a drink of my choice of an alcohol beverage. I've never been disappointed here and the level of care surpasses that of other salons I have been to and what I most appreciate is the communication they have with their clients. They are always double-checking to make sure they give you exactly what you want and more importantly, they are gentle in the process and never forceful. I highly recommend Art Nails & Spa for your self grooming needs.

I love coming here to get pedicures done, the service is always so great and treat you very nice! Recently I started getting my nails done here with Johnnie and he does a fantastic job. Absolute fantastic service from start to finish! First, I made an appointment ahead of time over the phone with their front desk manager. Super easy to do ahead of time. As soon as I checked in with them for my appointment day of, I was seated with the nail technician and we went over what I was looking for. They are great at communicating and making sure clients are comfortable with their process. I came in for just a gel manicure with a base layer of dip and they accommodated me perfectly. The way they removed my previous gel/dip base, shaped my nails, took care of my cuticles, prepped my nails for dip and for gel, and doing designs was just exceptional. I've honestly never been to another nail salon that has been able to hit every one of those marks that I have been used to at a nail salon I grew up with. Not only was the process and service fantastic but the results were perfect too! My nail technician was able to match the exact design from a picture I brought in, and she was still able to follow my vision for it (different colors than shown in the photo). All of this was just under a hour as well for this service which just made my day! I'll definitely be back to enjoy this wonderful salon again.

I LOVED the service here and the quality of nails are like chef's kiss i highly recommend this salon i haven't experienced all the amenities just yet or have experienced much outside of mia but i can tell this place and environment is absolutely beautiful and management knows what they're doing!! Im a mom so i did bring my newborn into this salon and normally i am scared on how i will be treated they treated me so beautifully! everyone helped me and i just loved everyone and everything about this place!

I've been going here for about a year and a half now. About once a month. I typically pick just baby pink or white for my nails. This time I decided on a Christmas design and wow...I'm in love. Mia did these so perfectly that I had to book an appointment with her for next time. I never get designs & I fear that if I have any other nail tech anywhere else do designs on my nails moving forward that I'll be so so disappointed. I tried out this nail salon for the first time last week since moving out to North County and i had a pleasantly relaxing experience. All the staff were nice, and I felt so welcome by the co-owner. Review on business practice: Art Nails is now under new management since the last time I went a few years back. I'm an out of stater who visits every now and then and have visited twice within the last year. The space is still clean, staff is still friendly, the color variety is also great. The ONLY thing or complaint that I have is that they prefer cash and if you use a credit card, or even ApplePay, they are a bit eh about it. In fact, the first time I went with the new management, when I paid they asked if I had cash bc they "only take cash". I pointed towards their computer/machine and mentioned that those usually take card and Apple Pay and that there was no sign or notice posted that they didn't take card. Since that visit, I was skeptical to return. I went back though! This time, I was allowed to pay with ApplePay, but they told me since it was card, I'd have to incur an additional fee for card use. Looks like that is improper business practice. As of 2024, businesses can't present consumers with new hidden fees on top of what was advertised in the purchasing price. Not sure how I feel about this or the business anymore. I'm willing to carry cash, but would like to warn fellow cardholders

Wow! If I could give 6 stars, I would! I really needed some self care and dropped by as a walk-in for a mani/pedi. While checking in, I noticed how beautiful the woman working at the desk's full set was, and asked if they might be able to do a full set instead of mani. She said, "absolutely no problem!" even though they were busy with at least 10 other clients already in the salon, and Angel started on my gel pedi first. I realized later that they had called in another nail artist, Holly, on her day off to do my full set for me I will be asking for Holly and Angel every time I make an appt from now on! I pulled up an inspiration photo for the full set and wasn't sure if they'd be able to match it but... WOW. It looks EXACTLY like I wanted, and I think even better than the inspo! Everyone in the salon is great at communicating and a pleasure to talk to. Holly was meticulous, obviously very skilled in her craft, and did an incredible job on the full set, making sure every nail was perfectly straight and even, and shaped exactly how I wanted it. I asked her to only file my natural nails minimally to reduce damage as I always do, and she did a great job of listening and not being too hard on my natural nail which is important to me. After she was done I looked at my nails and realized -- hands down, that was the BEST mani/pedi experience and full set of acrylics I have ever had in my life! I'm 37, and I've had my nails done in acrylics since I was 15, so I've had this done many, many times before. I can't wait to bring in my sister and niece. Also, after I left I jammed my nail on the gate a couple times by accident when walking my big dog, and the acrylics are SOLID. Not going to break anytime soon, and not even a chip from that! Angel did my pedicure and massage so well I almost fell asleep I was so relaxed, and every single nail is perfectly even. I have teeny tiny toes and it is kind of hard to do a pedicure on me, but she didn't cut them too short and made even my feet look good! The salon is spotlessly clean, beautifully laid out and relaxing with calm music and tv, and everyone working there was so kind and nice to talk to. They have sooo many color and design options. I can't wait to bring in more inspo! The girl next to me got sparkles with snowmen and snowflakes and they looked so good!! Each artist here is super talented and creative. Bonus, they are also conveniently located right off the 76 hwy next to Wulan ramen... yum!

Got dip nails here today. Made an appointment over the phone with who I think was the owner. Sat down in her chair and she started to work on my nails when she said a "client of hers" walked in. She then asked me to move to a different person's chair. That woman was very kind, but was very new to dip. My nails are lumpy and misshaped. I asked for the almond shape but what I got doesn't resemble that. I'm disappointed and won't return. read more

Very nice ladies, always offer the upgrade but never pushy about it, I had a half leg wax today that was not a very relaxing atmosphere but when you are getting hair removed from the roots that's never fun, it was just a bit awkward, sticky, a bit rushed and disorganized, but very nice, my pedicure was excellent, great attention to detail. Go see either Lindsey or Le (pronounced "Lee") they are ON POINT. Their massages are good ones!!! BUT - don't get stuck with Pam and don't change your mind on color - it will cost you, left feeling disappointed those days. For the most part, the place is really good. My mom loves Le. She says Le is "very professional and efficient". I received a full set, pedicure, and my eye brows waxed from Lindsey today. All turned out great. I get so irritated when my nails are crooked or bumpy - but not with Lindsey. The owner is great too, very personable and wants to make sure you're happy. And they serve a complementary adult beverage with many of the pedicures! read more

I booked an appt here for my mom and I to get a mani & pedi for a cruise we were going on and learned the shop was all under new management. I was very bummed since i really liked the old management and I was skeptical about keeping the appt, but figured I'd give the new management a try. Long story short, we loved the results. Helen is sweet and did an awesome job with both my mom's and my pedicure. And Thu did an awesome job with my mom's acrylic. We will definitely be coming back the next time we want to get a pedi/mani. They go out of their way to try and service you. The fees can get pricey, but that's just how all nail salons are. What I liked the most is that you don't feel like their talking/making fun about you in Vietnamese, which is what I also liked about the old management. I normally hate going into nail salons for this reason but will come back to see Helen for a pedi or Thu for nail art design. read more

I've been a couple of times for pedicures and have enjoyed my experience. The massage chairs are new and it appears they use clean/new tools to work on my feet. I've had service by two different employees and both have been very pleasant. On my last visit I also needed a manicure so I decided to try dip nails. Fist off, I didn't realize a dip does not include a manicure...my bad. Since my cuticles were in bad shape I asked to have them taken care of...which was complimentary because I was clueless...they normally charge $5. I really like my nails...they are very natural looking and I'm hoping, when the acrylic is taken off, my nails aren't in bad shape like they used to be with gel polish...but here's my issue...my fingers were dipped directly into the jar of powder...the same jar everyone else's fingers are dipped in...I find this extremely unsanitary and will not be continuing with dip nails. Aside from the dip powder debacle, I do enjoy coming to this salon and I highly recommend for pedicures. read more

So impressed! My friend and I were in the area and stopped by mid-day on a Saturday hoping for a walk in and we were accommodated. Everyone was so friendly, the environment was clean, and it was oh-so peaceful. I came out so happy with my nails- thank you Holly!! Run don't walk! This salon does it right. Very clean, laid back atmosphere. Not at all hectic and frenetic like all other salons in the area (believe me, I've tried them all). Pam is amazing. She is so professional and experienced. She gave me exactly what I asked for and she is an amazing person . Make an appointment because if they're busy they'll tell you exactly how long you'll be waiting (not just 'Wait 5 minutes '). Price wise it's comparable to other shops. Love it! read more

This is hands down the BEST nail salon I've ever been to! Every time I leave, I am so happy with my nails! They actually take time to look at the picture you show them of what you want and you actually leave with your nails looking the same or better than the inspo photo! Seriously better than any nail salon in LA or anywhere and fair prices. Not to mention, it is actually relaxing being here!! Unlike so many other nail salons, I feel more stressed when I leave than when I arrived. Everyone here has such a peaceful vibe and it's truly a spa day being here. I had 4 salons and did pedicures years ago so I'm pretty particular. Art Nails and Spa is terrific! I had the best pedicure ever with Le. Chloe adjusted the water temperature perfectly in the bubbling massage spa chair and made me right at home asking about my preferences and I enjoyed the cooking videos on one of the 3 large screens while I had my "simple pedicure" finished off with a great massage before polish. I'm so happy I stumbled upon this gem! I came in for a pedicure and full set and they exceeded my expectations! Plus, the prices were reasonable, especially since other places charge an arm and a leg for so-so service. They nailed exactly what I wanted. Both technicians were incredibly kind and gentle. I even had the pleasure of meeting the owner, who was just as lovely! They offered me a delicious Vietnamese coffee, which was a delightful bonus!
