I met Maryellen for the first time to do brow tint/shaping along with waxing. She is personable and takes the time to understand your needs. My brows turned out better than I expected and appreciate her level of detail! Surprisingly, the waxing treatment on my upper lip and chin left no redness that lingered on, so I was pleased since I usually have a mild sensitivity to wax in general. I sat up during the treatments, which was a nice surprise, and it was very comfortable compared to lying down. I've been seeing Maryellyn for my brow waxing for at least a year and she always does an amazing job!! She's now located at the new Phenix salon in Oceanside by Target on El Camino Real. The new location is roomy and has lots of light and is a really nice spot. The room is clean and there is lots of parking in the lot nearby. Maryellyn is very flexible, and always works with her clients to get appointments as you need them (even last minute she has made time for me). Maryellyn really listens to what you want, and does such a good job on your brows. I don't need microblading since I have thick brows, and she always gets the shape so nice. It's also easy to maintain in between visits. She also so personable and sweet and I always enjoy her company. I definitely recommend both Maryellyn and her new location. Maryellyn is AMAZING!! I received microblading and she did a phenomenal job. On top of making my brows perfect what truly impressed me was her customer service. She takes her time to make sure everything is perfect, she continuously asks you to check to see if you're happy with the shape/length/etc, and she will text you to check in to make sure the healing is fine and remind you of your follow up appointment so you don't even have to remember to schedule it. After my final appointment (since you do the first round then a follow up 6-8 weeks later) she still texted me to check in and make sure everything healed well. I was truly impressed by that because it shows how much she cares. I also had to reschedule my appointment the day of, which I felt awful about, and she was completely understanding and accommodating. She didn't charge me or anything for being unable to make my appointment and worked with my schedule for me to still get in that week. With my husband being deployed and having a baby and I truly appreciated her being so flexible and understanding. I highly recommend her for microblading and for any of her other services. I bought my own 5% lidocaine cream on Amazon and applied it 30 minutes before my treatment covering brows with plastic wrap. I have to say the sound of the scratching when doing the microblading was unexpected so take earbuds! Maryellyn is a true artist! And my healing was done in two weeks with a special cream that she supplies to be applied very lightly with Q-tips a thin coat. Some soggy skin peeled off day 6 that's it, no scabs for me. Then itching started day 7 the last phase of healing. I took a Zyrtec and that helped with the itching. read more

Love her! It's been about a month and they've gone down in color drastically which I don't mind I actually love. It changed drastically as I know I have oily skin and it was one of the things that can happen if you have this type of skin. Still loved it either way when it was freshly new and way darker. The shape is perfect. This saves me so much time when getting ready. She was so sweet and took great care of me. Going in for a fill in a few more weeks but definitely don't mind the little amount of pain. For me I'm semi good with pain though the micro blading does hurt, but beauty is pain. read more
