I had a crazy busy couple of days and obviously it showed on my appearance and on my face.... lol These ladies know me well... To make the long story short, I go into the waxing room to lay down for waxing. The girl who did my toes didn't know Im getting my eyebrows done. She taught I just needed I few min to lay down since I looked very tired :))) I almost fell asleep LOL so I got up and went to clarify that I was waiting for the eyebrow waxing.. hahaha Jess did a great job with my brows. I'm sad to say this but I've been going to Art nails for years for pedicures. I've never had a problem until this past Saturday. I scheduled a pedicure and decided to do gel polish. She quoted me 65 dollars. Pricey but ok fine. I sat. She dipped my feet in the ster about 49 seconds, quickly cut and buffed my nails. About 3 minutes and then was about to paint them with nothing else dobe.. when I asked her what was included in the 65 dollar pedicure, she stayed it's 5 minutes and the other "stuff" the hot towel even a little cream and the quick foot scrub is the next package up. She did end up doing some lotion at rhe end because I said something. Long story short. I was taken advantage of and used as a time saver. I've never had this problem there but very disappointed. I paid and tipped her well and left. I'll sadly never go back there. I'm usually not a Karen but people need to be informed of nonsense like this read more

If I can give 0 stars I would. Not only did they do a terrible job on my nails after I specifically told them what I wanted. They continue to do as they pleased. On top of that, they had the audacity to tell me I had to leave right as soon as they painted my nails because they were closed. So now I can't even get my nails dry and have to risk them getting messed up because they have to leave. Mind you my appointment was at 5:30. If they knew they couldn't finish at an appropriate time, they shouldn't had booked me for my services. Terrible customer service and not very nice. Not worth it. read more

Well this week was my last time here. 3 different people did my $35 plus dollar gel manicure and it is awful. I went for the first time the other day and I can safely say, I loved it here. Best service I have ever received at a nail salon. The second I walked in they greeted me and assisted me with choosing a color. I just got a regular pedicure but they never rushed me and they seemed to take great care of my feet and above all, were super friendly. The prices were a little higher than my normal salon in NJ, but overall, I had a great experience. I will definitely be back. read more

This salon does a great job and I find the pedicure/manicure lasts better than most places. If you get a "Spa" pedicure your feet look like babies feet when they are done and you feel great. The staff are all great. read more

I'll just reiterate what others have said about the owner--she is NOT pleasant. She doesn't thank people on their way out, she's not welcoming when they arrive. When I came in for an unscheduled pedicure yesterday, I had to proactively ask her how long the wait was, and she looked up from the nails she was working on and looked annoyed that I even asked and just said, "A looooong time." And that was it. Just went back to doing someone else's nails. Her daughter did come over to me and ask if I wanted to come back for an appointment the next morning (Saturday), so I made an appointment at 9:45, which was the earliest they could give me, and I just showed up and the store is closed/locked. No answer when I call. I tried knocking. Nothing. And I agree with others re: the up-sell tactics they try. I gave this 2 stars because they do a decent job when you actually get service, but I think I have had it at this point. The people in this nice town deserve much better service than what we are getting. Go to Lake Street Nails & More, right down the street in White Plains. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the work I've received here. I had previously been going to a salon in Scarsdale thinking it would be better and found the work was sloppy. I decided to give this place a try as it's in my neighborhood and both their manicures and pedicures are top notch. No matter which nail stylist has worked on me they have all done a great job. Best mani/pedi I've ever gotten. They are meticulous here, no matter who does you're nails- you will not be disappointed.

The establishment is small and cramped (drying station is squeezed into a corner), small selection of colors, waxing is $9 dollars for an upper lip job and it sucked, also you have to sometimes remind the lady giving you a manicure to place down a clean piece of paper towel before you place your hands down. Although they give decent manicures and pedicures they try to sell you a "more powerful" top coat for a couple of dollars extra, to prolong your manicure for a couple of more days (you can do the same at home with any clear polish). As for the owner, I have nothing nice to say about her. She seems to run her salon with the crack of a whip. I've gone to this place for about a year and a half due to its close proximity from my home and I can see from the manicurists' that they always seemed stressed and miserable. I understand that they work hard but I've been to other salons where I've felt more relaxed in happier environments. One time my grandmother was visiting and she wanted to treat my mother, sister and I. As she was telling the owner what services she wanted, the owner said said dismissively in annoyed tone "yeah I know." My grandmother then shot back with "NO YOU DON'T." The owner didn't respond but later tried to "make nice" (make small talk while feigning a smile). Needless to say, my grandmother never wants to go back. On a separate occasion when I walked in on a busy weekend, I asked for a manicure and there were two other girls ahead of me. I had plenty if time so I waited and noticed of what I thought was happening, the smug owner spoke in a foreign language, of which I don't know, to one of her employees and I felt that they were mocking me. Anyway, the owner puts one out of the two girls ahead of me in a chair as well as myself. I looked at the second girl and the employees as she looked at me, who also was confused as she realized that she was skipped. The owner realized she forgot and asked her if she wanted a manicure, but had changed her mind. I would be insulted too. The reasons why I had let so much minutia slide are the convenience of a short distance from home to the salon and the rewards program that they had. A lot if salons have these tally cards in which you receive a free manicure after 10 visits. Now, you have to spend $30 for each visit so you can get one of the manicurists to mark your card. It was then that I decided take my business elsewhere and found a better salon in the town I work in. At that point I stopped caring about the one free manicure read more

The quality of customer service at Art Nails is extremely poor. Linda, the owner, runs the store like a dictatorship, in which she and only she is in charge. She controls every action of her employees by instilling fear in every fiber of their being. Unfortunately, Linda does not realize she cannot treat her customers the same way. She is rude, loud, obnoxious, and does not know how to be a businesswoman. If you're looking for a place where you want to be treated courteously and with respect, Art Nails is not the place to go. read more

I don't really write reviews but went to this salon todAy which I occasionally do bc I live local and there was no wait. But that will be the last time I go. Today I realized how mean the owner was. The girl doing my nails was new and she scolded her the entire time. Mind you the girl did nothing wrong. She was sweet just not as fast as she would have wanted her to be. But the thing that bothered me the most was watching her pull out a Cotten swab from the garbage and yell at her for using too much nail polish remover and then tell the other Korean worker about it making the girl doing my nails get embarrassed. Then she kept that dirty cotton swab and placed it in her table to use it on her client. So gross and cheap. Nail polish remover is the cheapest thing you can buy but I guess that's how she stays laced in Cartier. She is only nice to her Korean workers not the Spanish women who work there. She also wanted to charge me $6 to fix a break in one of my nails. Almost the cost of a full manicure. Terrible business. Treat others as you would want to be treated. read more

I got a manicure and asked for only the quick dry top coat that I paid a dollar for and the lady who did my nails put on a special bottom coat by mistake and told me I had to pay another extra dollar when it was her mistake I told her no I am not paying a dollar for her mistake putting the wrong polish on my nails very rude and nasty and unprofessional read more

Not sure why someone who can't wax eyebrows would accept money for what I just received. My eyebrows look patchy and uneven. At least when I went in I had clear lines with the new growth shadow. I'm so mad because it's very clear that this place is managed by someone overly concerned with money without proper attention to doing things right. Suggestion: instead of squeezing someone in to make sure you get that $10 dollars, tell them the eyebrow person is busy and they have to wait. I have been going to Art Nails for quite a few years, although i'm not necessarily a regular. I have been turned off time and time again by the owner, Linda, who is a nasty, unprofessional woman, but I always gave it another chance due to its close proximity to my home. Recently I again had a horrible experience, after which I will never again give my business to Linda. I made an appointment for a specific time with a specific manicurist. My manicurist was free and sat down to begin my nails, but was then instructed by the owner to go give a pedicure to someone else. I say instructed, but it really was a demand, a command - she treats her employees like garbage and it is actually sad to watch. I said that I had made an appointment and that my manicurist was clearly free, and that I wanted her specifically to do my nails. The owner showed me her book saying that she hadn't written down the manicurist I wanted, (as if that was my fault). She said she was sorry....but still refused to honor my appointment. I then sat there for 20 minutes waiting for another manicurist until I finally just got up and left. They owner couldn't have cared less. HORRIBLE. CUSTOMER. SERVICE. Not worth it.
